Saffron is at a great location and hits a homerun every time. I only use it for takeout as the dining atmosphere is quite bland. ...however the food is anything but bland! The dishes are terrific and as authentic as you can get in Morgantown. The takeout is fast and very convenient.

Not the best tasting Indian food I have had but it is a good value for this area, especially for Muslims who want halal meat at a restaurant. The lunch buffet is delicious with different types of Currys and meats. Keep your mind open to vegetarian options because one of the vegetarian options is my favorite. Place seems relatively clean. 10 dollars is an okay value for a lunch buffet. Service is not amazing but hey its an Indian buffet. You should take all you can get.... I would give it a 3.5 but let's round up. I would definitely come back.

Man alive this place doesn't look like much and you practically have to beg for refills but the food is wonderful. We did not have the buffet, instead we ordered off the menu. The chicken tikka masala was wonderful. The chicken was moist and tender, perfectly cooked and the sauce had a perfect heat that had my nose running and I believe I ordered a 5. The nan was fluffy and warm. The samosas are ginormous and I love the mint chutney they serve with them. We also tried a shrimp appetizer that was so so. Everyone raved about their dinners, I wish I could remember what they all ordered. Service was friendly and very quick, just make sure you ask for a refill when they check on you. You will want the water. The parking lot is a little difficult to get in and out of, be careful as people fly up and down the road!

This is for the lunch buffet: a few dishes were decent (the dal, okra, and tandoori chicken), but the others were mediocre or worse. The chicken tikka masala was weirdly sweet, the saag seemed old, and the chutneys were not fresh. Weird vibe. Hopefully the dinner menu is better.

I came here along with my uncle and aunt, last Saturday, the day I arrived in Morgantown. From outside, the restaurant is unassuming. We ordered Okra curry, mutter-paneer (sweet pea - cottage cheese curry with gravy), and gongoora dosa (Indian crepe with a ethnic vegetable pickle inside). I was pleased with the food cooked here. The level of spiced was exactly how much I wanted (they enquired while taking the order), the naan bread was fresh and fluffy, and the food was brought over quickly. If I get a little nitpicky, I can say that the restaurant is a little difficult to reach for a regular student without a vehicle, but should be no problem if you are driving down. They do have online ordering, so that helps. I haven't tried those services so I cannot comment about their efficiency. But all in all, I will call it the better Indian restaurant in town.

Went with the family, some of which had never had Indian Food. Staff was polite, restaurant was clean and neat. Food was good. No Saturday Lunch Buffet, had to order from dinner menu, little pricey.

I enjoy having the rarity of South Indian cuisine in Morgantown. The flavors at Saffron are milder than I would like and the chappatis and parathas could be a little sweeter and a bit less like naan and a bit more like...well, like chappatis or pooris; nevertheless, for the discerning traveler this restaurant is a refreshing break from the average Indian restaurant. South Indian cuisine has a unique flavor compared to North Indian fare and Saffron does try hard and usually succeeds with this unique niche.

I love this place. The buffet has a wide selection of vegetarian and a few chicken dishes, chai, and a few of condiments. Great flavor, friendly service

I have been here several times. Solid and tasty Indian food. Tandoor chicken, chicken tika masala, spinach paneer all good. Lots to choose from for vegetarians. Great naan and tea. They also have a few desserts. There are no surprises at Saffron. The service and food is always very good. My only complaint is that they need to clean their bathrooms...don't look too closely.

Been here three or four times. Samosas are always good. Service is always polite and fast. Tonight we had lamb vindaloo (very good), Manchurian Chicken (the vegetarian version is better), and mushroom naan. The naan was terrific tonight as was the vindaloo. Not a big fan of Manchurian Chicken - the chicken was over tenderized so much so that I could not tell that it was really chicken. It had the texture of tofu. All in all a solid choice though, and I am thankful that Morgantown has this restaurant.

The food taste was acceptable and special. I like the milk tea and the fried chicken dump. But I didn't feel good thereafter. Indian food is worth to have a try but I don't want to try again.

Vegetarian dishes are ok but the meat dishes are blah. Taste not authentic. The price is relatively high given the fact that you can drive to Pittsburgh and find better food at lower price. The guy who waits on you is however very friendly and makes an effort to accommodate your needs.
