The food was awesome but expensive.

Love this place! This is my second time to this one and it is very professional and nice and not to mention the amazing food they serve! First I had a chicken teriyaki with steamed rice and a California roll and it was amazing!! Now I'm having a shrimp and salmon with fried rice and a yummy yummy roll. And it is getting good so far. A little pricey but for food this good its to be expected go getyourself some right now!!

I am sure West Virginia must have a few really good restaurants, but in the years I've traveled it, I've never found one. So, thinking I might have found a restaurant, being Hibachi and Japanese, it would have to be better than what are the general West Virginia restaurants, but I was dead wrong. The food and atmosphere I ended up with turned out to be more West Virginia Hibachi than it did Japanese Hibachi. I ordered a hibachi filet mignon which came with a Japanese noodle soup and salad. The soup, though tasty, turned out to be what I would discern as being a basic clear consommé with noodle specs, and though maybe a Japanese noodle, hair like, hardly visible in size. The salad, though crispy, one thin slice of unripe tomato, one slice of cucumber, and few shreds of carrot, lots of iceberg lettuce and maybe a touch or radicchio topped with a creamy like dressing that I've never encountered before in any Asian restaurant and to my mindset just not Asian like. Then, for the filet, it did come as ordered but with a very heavy near tar like dark sauce which unfortunately, when eating the meat was the only thing you could taste. I understand one of the hit features of this place is that the chef will, in Benihana style, prepare your meal tableside, but that was something I had declined and glad that I did, because if would have seen what he was doing, no doubt an argument between us would have ensued and, of course, I would have been defenseless and he would have been armed with a knife. There were other little small but perturbing annoyances. Though the steak was sliced, the slices were too large; hence I requested a steak knife. I suppose I got one, but only if one would consider a slightly serrated butter knife to in fact be a steak knife. My water glass tuned out not to be glass but in fact a big plastic Coca Cola glass, then 1/2 hour before closing, as if to tell me to leave, someone starts in with an electric carpet sweeper cleaning the rugs with an apparent leaky dust collection bag. Just Great! So maybe this place might hold up as being a three or four star Japanese restaurant in West Virginia, but elsewhere I would doubt even two stars at best. I know that in Lauderdale I've seen better Asian in general, let alone Japanese Asian, in short order take outs on Sistrunk than I have here.

Overall enjoyed the experience didn't give it a 5 because we did have a slight delay in the wait to get a chef and seemed like the cooking took a little longer than normal so I was eating parts of my meal not close to everything at once. Which ice done before at other places. Food wise everything we got was really good. The best part though hands down was the Yummy Yummy Rolls. I could've literally just had those all night and skipped the hibachi. Not because it was bad but they sushi was just that good. We'd go back and I'd recommend it.

Love this place, the food is great, the staff is awesome, and you will come out of there stuffed. I always love watching the shows :)

First Japanese steakhouse I've ever been to. Set the bar high. Best Japanese steakhouse in Morgantown. Hands down.

It was good, not great. We went here while on vacation at Lakeview Resort. The salad dressing was different than I'm used to, They said it was ginger and it tasted ok (but very sweet). Instead of the orange color I've had at other places, it was very pale and looked like mayo... The steak, shrimp and the salmon Hibachi was very good. The chef was fun and very considerate to the kids at the table. I would go again.

Went there for my birthday sat in the sushi room. They re did their whole menu and sushi choices- no more yum yum, goddess rolls, wooton roll or dang roll to name a few. Service was slow and they were out of the soup spoons. I order a kitchen item and it was soaked in oil. Really went down hill and appearance needs update badly.

Great food every time I have been there.prices are a little higher than most other Japanese places and the wait time when you get there is usually at least 45 minutes, but once your seated,it was worth the wait.

For the middle of no-where's-ville for this NY-ker I was supposed at the freshness of the seafood, and decent prices for a full plate of sashimi as well. Lots of seating and quick service!

We visit as often as we can. The Ginger dressing is so addicting and I'm glad that they finally started selling it but I'm sure my waist line is not.

STUFFED! Read no more! You will be stuffed when you leave here. We have been to hibachi before but this place was packed. 10 seats per hibachi grill and 4 of those in a room. It took our chef a little while before he came over but it was well worth the wait. A local sitting next to us said he is the best here. He was. As he cooked he gave some comic relief and was a master of culinary acrobatics. The food was delicious and I couldn't stop eating, hence stuffed. Our server never allowed our pre dinner drinks to get too low and alcohol wasn't over priced. We had the flaming volcano drink which was yummy! Dinner was $18 but with drinks and tip everything worked out to be $35 each. Not bad for 2 or more hours of dinner and a show. Great for a group or a really fun date. We ate the chicken and beef combo, awesome and cooked to perfection.

Best sushi in town for sure. I've been here multiple times and every time it's been a good experience wether I decide to dine in the sushi room or the hibachi room. Hibachi meals are expensive however they do usually run in the $20 something range. Sushi is good. Sashimi is good quality. Favorite rolls: cooper roll, rainbow roll, ichiban roll, rock n' roll! Sushi chef has been there for quite some time and is very creative. If you are adventurous just tell him to make you something cool and it'll turn out great! Can't go wrong. Owner is suuuuuuper peppy too. Always makes me smile.

Incredible selection of sushi rolls - clearly the chefs have fun creating new combinations that taste fantastic. I've been here 3 times and enjoyed every visit.

Like this place a lot. Has some of the best sushi in town (which is only out of a few other sushi places here in morgantown). Their food is delicious, sushi, hibachi, soup and salad! If you're going with a party or group, try the volcano drink, it's pretty good. 4 stars!

From out of town... Found this place on yelp. Never seen a menu with such a selection of sushi. Really great food.. So good I signed up on yelp to write a review.

Although the food isn't the best of Japanese steak houses in Morgantown, it is still really good and better than ones that I have been to in other towns. The service is always good too.
