Delicious! My family was passing through on 68 and this place is just off the highway. The food was good, the portions were reasonable and the price is good. The staff was professional and attentive and the bathrooms are clean. We'll mark it on our GPS so we can stop again the next time through. They have late hours which helps as well.

This may be the "best Chinese food in Morgantown," but that does not mean that it is that great. It's a pretty run of the mill Chinese food restaurant and is definitely a step up from the few others in town. You won't find anything really exciting here, but it isn't terrible either. It's a good option for quick, friendly service when you are craving Asian food!

My family and I eat here all the time. Hands down the best Chinese food I've ever had. The restaurant is run by an adorable and incredibly hard working family. It is not unusual to see the owners children doing their homework in the corner. They are wonderful to their regulars and make everyone feel at home. There is no buffet and the food is ALWAYS prepared fresh and hot when you order it (no soggy chicken here). A little out of the way, but worth it. I reccomend the crab rangoon, general tsos chicken, and the pork mei fun in particular.

Small and unpretentious with quick service in take out boxes, even when eating in. Standard Chinese fare at a fair price. Since the food equals the price paid, I think it is a good value.

Best customer service of any Chinese restaurant in morgantown. This place is family ran and is a great atmosphere. They serve hot fresh Chinese food American style. And if you order enough they always give you free sugar donuts.

I love the folks at China City. This is a family owned restaurant and the people are kind and friendly. I know on several occasions the kids have ended up with MORE sugar rolls "to go" from the staff than we ordered... the food is basic, reasonable american-chinese. The fried wontons are excellent. We like the steamed dumplings, just not the sauce that comes with it (another restaurant in town has better sauce). We get take out often. Never eaten there....the decor is spartan but serviceable. The place is clean. Service is fast, prices are very reasonable.....a little out of the way for the WVU crowd, but if you are on your way out of town near I-68 exit 4, it's worth a stop!

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
