Starbucks at Target-It Sounds Like a Good Idea...It Isn't The Good Even at its worst the coffee is better than anything else in Martinsburg with the notable exception of the Starbucks at Martins. That's about where the good stops. The Bad If tepid coffee, cloyingly sweet specialty drinks, long waits, and over worked employees are your thing you've come to right place. The coffee preparation area is usually in disarray if not dirty. They are always out of things. Tolerable if I wasnt paying $9 for two coffees and cookies. The Rant From a purely profitability standpoint I'm sure Starbucks at Target is a home run. Unfortunately I think the realities of trying to run a retail operation and a high volume premium coffee shop by sharing employees is questionable at best. I think it serves to dilute both brands and more importantly really piss me off. Now for the West of Interstate 81 crowd I'm sure this is a great a Starbucks experience but if you go too any random free standing Starbucks in MD/VA it's not even close. Target/Starbucks Please Try Harder. The Solution Just go to the Starbucks at Martins. They have dedicated engaged staff who seem to take a degree of pride in things and have obviously been better trained in Starbucks beverage preparations.

The baristas are a hit and miss and they don't seem to care too much about their job. I have seen some new baristas and they are better, but unless I have to have my fix, I go to the new Starbucks location at the Martins grocery store.

The frozen drinks that my wife and I get are always on point. The only thing that I don't like is that they don't let their employees accept tips.

Automatic star for being the ONLY Starbucks in Martinsburg! Yay! I found one! Inside of a Target. The baristas were nice, but we weren't sure how much they had been trained, since they didn't know what a Con Panna or Macchiato were. We tried to explain, then just got coffee and lattes instead. The major downsides were that there were bugs flying all over the seating area, the tables were a little dirty, and they only had one milk to add at the sugar-trash-station... and it was empty.

Positives: Nice employees and I'm glad there is a Starbucks in Martinsburg Negatives: It doesn't have the typical Starbucks feel; I wouldn't go here to study or work. The BIGGEST negative is that there are never enough employees working. I have left twice because I couldn't wait in the never moving line any longer.

My wife and I go here every weekend. The drinks are awesome. And autumn is the best person on all drinks.

I just went to Starbucks in target in martinsburg wv. As a young man took my order for two ice coffees. As I was waiting an older women (assuming manger) was constantly nagging him about I can't read your writing in cups and you need to make more of this and thAt and so on... As I received my drinks my mother and I sat down to enjoy. The whole time this women was constantly makin rude inappropriate comments loudly enough for everyone to hear. That is not what I want to hear as I'm trying to enjoy my coffee. And I heard a women across at another table say she's very loud to loud yelling at him. Then as we were leaving I heard her tell another boy who came in and said to him I'm hours behind and everything is a mess and you all need to clean behind everything tonight there's spills everywhere... And someone already messed this ice coffee up.. My comment is you could tell the boy was new and still learning how to make drinks and get the hang over things, everybody is new at some point in time ! As a former manger at a restaurant it is your job that your staff properly learns there job duties ! And in the time of learning you treat them with respect its overwhelming coming into a new job with new people trying to learn a new job you need patients and respect to build a strong team! Also a former boss told me a boss depends orders and a leader demonstrates and works besides you.. So maybe further comments can change to" we"need to clean everything good tonight instead of "you" everything.
