This place by far (all Popeyes) makes the best chicken I have ever tasted!! Seriously, I love the batter because its not greasy but it's crunchy ad just right in southern flavor and its always Juicy!! Even if it isn't fresh out the fryer, it's still bangin. The service isn't spectacular but from past reviews I've read, id recommend staying away from this place at night, that's when the monsters come out...and the left over chicken :/ Compared to KFCs chicken with too much flavor, thin coating (eh) and sometimes their chicken is dry. I always get the chicken strips with mashed potatoes for dipping. I even dip the biscuit in the mashed potatoes (who needs sauce right?) Even writing this post is making me hungry (I'm 7mos preggers, go figure). I'm addicted!! And I'm not just saying bc I'm pregnant, I've been lovin this stuff since I first had it in 2005 in Tucson, AZ. Even if it gets pricier, id pay it as long as they never change their recipe to accommodate the economic "tough times" so please Popeyes, never change, PLEASE!!!

I live in Shepherdstown, which has a reputation for good food, and I have begun sneaking out to Martinsburg to go to this Popeye's. Now, I eat here more than any other restaurant. A chicken strips combo with fries, rice+beans, and a biscuit is my go-to, and despite being enough food to send a grizzly bear into hibernation, I somehow manage to crush it all while driving home and not pass out at the wheel. Yeah it's a fast food chain with high school kids working there, but they are far more competent than your average Wendy's or McDonald's employee in my opinion. I almost always go drive-thru, and one time they gave me a bunch of biscuits instead of rice and beans, which left me curled up in the fetal position sobbing uncontrollably, but they are usually on point from my experience though I always forget to ask for honey/jelly for my biscuits.

Love Popeyes, but this one is sometimes a bit off in the drive thru. Multiple times they have forgotten items and I was charged for them! Overall good service and good food!! Always look for coupons though--i think it's a little pricey!!

I LOVE this Popeyes! I always go here as my little "guilty pleasure" when I'm craving fried chicken and mashed potatoes. The people here are so friendly and my food is always fresh and the portions are huge. I would definitely recommend the popcorn shrimp also. You will return for more, trust me!

I went there one night half an hour before closing and was told they were closed. Another time they told me they didn't have any chicken! Really? A lot of times the chicken is old and dry, mashed potatoes instant and thick. Wait staff rude and not friendly.

It's a chain fast food restaurant, so you can't expect much. I went there around 9 on a weeknight (drive thru) and heard from the squawk box 'We're closed!' Followed by a 'Welcome to Popeye's how can I help you.' - kids working a late shift I guess. I waited quite a while for my food and when I got home it was clear they skimped on the crawfish. I've never had any great experiences with this Popeye's.

Stopped by and picked up some chicken, rice and beans, and mashed potatoes for supper. Chicken was fresh, rice and beans were awesome. I would take Popeye's over KFC any day of the week. If you have not tried their rice and beans, it's a must. I could go there and just order them. Oh, the biscuits are pretty good also.
