Overall a good experience for a chain but the food was a bit lacking. We were seated quickly and the waitress was very attentive. The appetizer came out very quickly. It was the blooming onion and they are very good but let's face it kind of hard to eat. For our entrees I got the focaccia sandwich and my wife got the Parmesan chicken flatbread. They were both a bit bland. Mine was supposed to have aioli but if there was any I could not discern it. The portions were large and the prices were reasonable. Also the coffee was outstanding. The final verdict on the food is that when we brought it home both of us ended adding things to the leftovers to make them tastier.

Outback will never ever have a crowd unless they go back to their original decor and mannerisms they had when they first opened. Get rid of the black boring uniforms, bring back the sports bar and learn to get orders correct! Who's idea was it anyway to change to such a boring place? The last time we were in, which was Christmas, the music was so loud had to lean over to talk to each other! Get some managers that know what the heck they are doing and an owner that knows the hospitality business!

Food tastes as it always does - good. Ordered the special Steak and Unlimited shrimp. Steak was cooked right and the shrimp overly breaded and the garlic shrimp had way too much garlic butter. Our server was SLOW!!!! Timed the reorder of unlimited shrimp to almost 7 min from time of order and time arriving to my table. They do this on purpose to keep you from eating so much. Took 10 minutes to get a reorder of the shrimp. No more outback in Martinsburg for us.

If you value your health you will avoid this restaurant. It always has a very high violation count on the Berkeley County Health inspection results. It has been closed down several times. Food ranges from OK to downright bad. If you still want the Outback experience try a couple miles north or south in either Hagerstown or Winchester. Why the chain doesn't correct this location is beyond me.

Unlimited shrimp doesn't mean that they are going to bring you lots of shrimp, apparently.

Went once.. Food was gross and not worth what you pay. Thought the ahi tuna was past date and feel lucky we didn't get sick. I don't think I would return, but we did go pre-shutdown.

The only real positive thing about this place is their employees. I honestly feel bad for them. They are all bright individuals who deserve to be working somewhere that does not serve mediocre bland food. The food: As stated. It's bland. It's bad. It's often questionable. The health code violations alone tell me that this place needs new upper management, if that hasn't happened already. It's actually really sad, this is probably one of the only possibly nice restaurants in its area and it is constantly shut down. About a year ago, I was nearly forcibly dragged here by family and a health inspector came by and shut it down WHILE WE WERE DINING THERE. Apparently there was an issue with water from the men's restroom leaking into the kitchen? The employees started stacking the chairs onto the table... No one notified us that they had been closed. Probably a half hour later, our server brought us our bill, over $100. We paid and left. It was not until they literally locked the door behind us in the middle of the day did we turn around and see the notice on the door. We had just paid FULL price, to eat at a restaurant that got shut down half way through our meal.

One of my favorite things about Outback is consistency in their food preparation. However, we did not get that last night. Two of our steak dinners were supposed to be cooked medium and came out well done. The lobster was over cooked as well. Not sure what they did to the Caesar salad, but it was very spicy and inedible. The baked potatoes were very dry. I gave two stars because we had an excellent waiter. Our drinks were refilled without ever having to ask. We were in there for about an hour and a half. Never saw a manager, like I have at other Outbacks. This is one Outback that is off my list to go back and visit.

Been shut down several times first off. Next the last 4 times ive eaten there honestly my order has been wrong each and every time! Ive gotten comps so many times i could probably eat there for a week for free. Each time i order a steak different kinds but always order it medium well and each time its a slimey under cooked disgusting greasy mess thats obviously rare normally our sides aren't what we ordered etc.... bottom line its always wrong! Come on even high schoolers should be able to get that right. A plus is the attitude of the curbside takeaway employees is always good like it should be but the cooks are terrible over seasoning everything and so much tenderizer youll spend a good hour on the toilet after your meal. Would suggest going to martins and buying a steak and some charcoal.

We have not been to an Outback in a few years and I think it will be quite a few more years until we return again. We use to enjoy going so thought it would be fun to go back one night for dinner. I am not sure if this is true for all the Outbacks, but the portion size here was half the size of what it use to be. The chopped salad use to fill me up, but now it is served in a small bread dish. The amount of vegetables served was also very small. However, my bigger complaint was the service. The girl was nice enough, but very robotic. As I was first sitting down in my seat she was all ready asking for our drink order and if we wanted an appetizer. I was not even seated yet. I asked her if I could look at the menu first. She came back a minute later and asked again but this time wanted our entire order. We gave her our drink order and asked her to come back for our food order. And then to top it off she came back three times to ask if we wanted dessert and I was only half way through my meal. I kept saying I needed to finish my meal first. I was not eating overly slow either.

Don't expect your steak cooked correctly. They can't ever get it right. I always order a rare and get a medium at best. (This is by the specs they have on their menu)

The servers are very good and the restaurant is clean (except the pile of paper towels customers drop on the floor by the bathroom door since they do not put a waste receptacle for customers). The appetizers and drink orders always arrive quick. The issue we constantly have is the entrees arrive with issues. Tonight it took over an hour after we were seated to get our entrees and then my wife's steak was lukewarm. They also have issues differentiating between rare, medium and medium well. Lots of potential but horrific execution.

I saw this also...been going here for a few years...geez. MARTINSBURG, WV- The Outback Steakhouse that was shut down due to a large amount of health violations in Martinsburg reopened on Friday. WHAG spoke with Bill Kerns with the Berkeley County Health Department who says inspectors found more than 100 violations throughout the restaurant on Wednesday, 46 of which were critical. The restaurant is part of an Outback Steakhouse food chain located in the 700 block on Foxcroft Avenue. Officials say they sent in two inspectors for a routine inspection. They say in all cases they arrive unannounced. What they found were numerous violations throughout the restaurant including; outdated food that was not marked, covered nor stored properly, several utensils used for cooking were left out and not cleaned, and flies in the kitchen Further violations included workers not changing their gloves in between cleaning and cooking, and in one case even touching bread with their bare hands before serving it to customers. The inspection took five hours long, which officials say is not normal. They say three or more critical violations can shut down an entire restaurant. Inspectors with the Berkeley County Health Department went back to conduct a followup inspection on Thursday but did not approve the restaurant to reopen until Friday. They say the Outback Steakhouse made a sufficient improvement over the past couple of days. A total of 20 hours were spent inspecting the restaurant.

First visit here...apparently they have a special menu for Wednesday evenings only, with specials, 2 for $25 and 2 for $35. With each, you can choose from one of four entrees, an appetizer OR dessert (these are listed), a salad, and a side. We opted for the 8-oz prome rib on the 2 for $35 menu, bloomin' onion, french onion soup ($1 upcharge), side salad for me, steamed broccoli, and baked sweet potato. Lemme say that Nathaniel was spot on with service...friendly and "timing" was perfect. I gave him a much better than average tip. We arrived about 5:16 PM and were seated right away, but when we left one hour later, people had what appeared to be a short wait for a table (perhaps 10-15 minutes). I am generally not fond of chains, but this was one of our best outings in recent memory, for service, food quality, and value. Everything was made exactly as ordered and service, quality, taste, and presentation exceeded expectations.

This is something I figured the most of you would like to know. First off I'm actually surprised at myself for wanting to post a review for Outback. Nothing against the chain but with them being all over the country I usually know what to expect. I have to admit though this one location is really pretty darn good. I was impressed with the service, the quality of the food and for the business traveler it was very close to the hotel, mall, and movie theater. I had the lamb, lobster tail and grilled shrimp which totally was fresh and tasty. I was a little nervous on the lobster tail but it was big , fresh, and perfectly grilled. Normal locations are good for a 3 star in my book, but the lamb and the sauce served with it pushed it over the top. If you out here in the sticks on business some week like i was this trip... definately hit this place up.

I am not sure what has happened to this place. It used to be my favorite restaurant, and I loved looking forward to the delicious food they offered. I have only gone to this particular location several times. I used to live in MD and VA and ate at many different locations in those states where it was always great. The problem I have now, is that the food portions have gotten much smaller and are even served on smaller plates. That's fine if you are paying less also, but the food has in fact gotten more expensive. I ordered the Alice Springs Chicken, which I have ordered for years. It was a tiny little breast, dried out and tough, with barely any cheddar cheese on top. The baked potato was the size of a lemon. Our bread was stale and obviously heated up in a microwave. That was about 6 months ago, and I don't plan on ever eating there again. I wrote a review on their site, and I received a coupon for a free Bloomin Onion on our next visit. Who wants it??

I'm use to the Outback in Frederick, MD, so when I didn't have to wait 90 minutes for a table on Friday night, I was a very happy girl. We walked in at around 7:00 and were seated right away. We had our drinks immediately and our appetizer and meal soon followed. Drinks were good, food was great and service was excellent. No doubt we'll avoid the wait at Frederick from now on.
