This location opened about a month ago..we went the first week, didn't have high expectations but it was pretty good. Returned a couple of weeks later and when we finally got our salad they forgot the dressing...but with a reminder they brought some. Then they served our entree before our appetizers. Returned tonight (new years eve) and waited more than 30 min to have our order taken, then waited more than 30 min for entrees and mine was cold. Asked to talk to a manager twice before she showed up, then she was apologetic and took care of the bill (minus the drinks, which ,,we wouldn't have had if we hadn't had to wait so long). The staff worked hard, but they didn't have enough staff to back them up. Not good management.

This is a brand new location for Olive Garden. Went here on a Saturday night about 7:30 and waited about 35 minutes for a table. Waitress was knowledgeable and helpful. Everything came out when it was supposed to but one of the items on my entree was unavailable so I asked them to add extra of one of the other items, which they did. I actually got a full portion of the shrimp when I feel I should have gotten a smaller size. I was happily pleased with this. No complaints. Will go again soon! And to other readers, please keep in mind that a brand new restaurant usually needs about 6 months to "work out the bugs" and get everyone full trained and up to speed. Until then, you'll probably see inconsistencies in food quality, food quantity, and sever confidence.

This Olive Garden is like all others as far as the food quality so the review will be service based only. The wait staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant. The waitress forgot to take our food order so we did have to wait longer to get our dinners. The appetizers and breadsticks came out several minutes after the salad and soup was served. Overall a good dining experience but I have been to Olive Gardens with faster service.

Nice staff, great service. Very quick on my diet Pepsi refills which is the most important thing to me! Glenda was a great server! Would go again.

This Olive Garden always has great service. The manager is supportive to the community which is nice. Food is always good and what you'd expect at an Olive Garden.

Nestled in between death row restaurants such as Outback, Ryan's, Bob Evans, and China Buffet this is an enjoyable place to stop to dine. We were told 35-40 minute wait and we were at our table in 10 minutes! Service is fresh and to the point and friendly unlike Outbacks hustle to seat and eat. Endless salad was flavorful without too much dressing and drinks arrived in good order. Shrimp appetizer was enjoyed by the family and polished off in quick order. Unlike the other death row restaurants the board of health has given this place high marks. Both entrees of fresh pasta were delicious and flavorful with the kids meals equally impressive and equally as hot. Mac and cheese and pizza for kids were spot on! Very generous portions with excellent flavor and fantastic customer service. Good place for a family dinner.

This olive garden is hit or miss. We've had great meals here and some not so great. One of our visits was attended by someone who recently had a bit too much nicotine and smelled that way. My wife left with a migraine. What is with mixing in the modern pop music with the traditional olive garden music at this branch? I want my authentic OG music experience! I would actually give another star if this one issue was easily resolved. Overall I love OG food and it is what brings me back.

Was offered alcohol on the spot, but was not carded or anything. They tried to get me to buy a $27 bottle of white wine, and didn't even think to ask me for my ID. (I am not old enough to drink) The bread sticks were hard as a rock, but this service was fast. Although they were quick, the food was mediocre.

I am giving two stars because the wine was cold and the food was hot. It was your normal Olive Garden dinner and it tasted good. However my service was something to be desired. We ordered a 23.00 bottle of wine. We get the wine and pour a glass each. When I went to drink my wine there was black stuff floating in my glass (no big deal I know stuff happens). I asked for a new glass and the server brought one with an apology but never replaced the wine I just paid for and lost in that first glass. We received 4 breadsticks our entire dinner, despite asking for more. A man two tables over got nasty and yelled for more, so we realized were not the only ones being forgotten but at that point we just gave up. We ordered dessert when we ordered our dinner, if we had not done that we would have skipped after the mess of attempting to get our server to do anything extra. When the server brought our dessert by golly we got that check so we could get out though. We got the check before we even got boxes to put our leftovers in. After getting our boxes we left shaking our heads and apologizing to each other about how crappy our first dinner together in over a month had been. Good food but that is about it. Next time I think we will head into Winchester or Hagerstown.

Didn't know this forum was available. Wife and I went there a few weeks ago in January for dinner. I ordered pasta she ordered some other whatever. My pasta was served in a metal aluminum foil casserole container just like something you would buy frozen at the grocery store from Ms. Fields or Swanson. I couldn't believe it. Wife's dish looked like one would expect. Plus, sure enough the center was cool so you know it wasn't fresh made. Next time we think about Olive Garden I think we will just raid the freezer. The salad, breadsticks and diet soda and coffee saved the day so we didn't make a scene over it but that was only only because wife was giving me the fish eye knowing I was about to erupt.

Exemplary food and we have a favorite waitress that we get every time we are going. They are great with my kids they treat them like young adults not kids. We just had my birthday dinner there with a party of 11 and everything went off without a hitch..Love going to olive garden they have the best food and my whole family loves it

Plain, tasteless and boring menu... never understood how endless breadsticks was something to be happy about maybe im bitter about that bullshit stop sign out front that stops traffic unnecessarily all day and night even when ppl aren't crossing...but i digress, its by far the worst italian food ive ever had the service is horrible they just stand around and gossip and hardly ever revisit a table to see of you need anything. The food is ridiculously over priced and well look up john oliver and olive garden i think he did the best review.

Tonight was the best service I've ever received at the Olive Garden until the end . It was the first time we were offered the free ounce of wine which was very tasty. We were even asked if we would like a dippin sauce with our bread sticks which I never knew they offered . When we asked if these was something new he said no we are like salesman in sales so we bump the sale up and they make more which is great however you should tell us tht would be $3.89 added to the bill . As a single parent and a sales person you need to tell us that up front what if I didn't have the extra $$$ ? I feel that was tricky . If you came into my business n I offered u a service but didn't tell you it was a added fee and you challenged me I'm out that cost bc I wasn't up front with you . Service was great so I didn't say anything but next time be honest maybe the tip would of been higher then the 15% . Only down fall was at end we waited forever to get bill he got busy .

Friday at 12:15 PM was a busy time and we waited ten minutes. But service was prompt and timely. New location (opened about six weeks ago) so folks want to check it out because the other nearest OG locations are 25 miles away, and Martinsburg can always use another half-decent restaurant. The place is tastefully decorated. Starter salad always pleases. The stuffed appetizers were on point. The Seafood Alfredo seemed lacking in scallops, had some small size shrimp, and a sauce that wasn't too thick. The Shrimp Mezzaluna offered a generous portion of ravioli (8-10), but the sauce wasn't exactly my type, taste-wise. I'm sure it was prepared the way it was supposed to be--it is a chain, so they usually assemble these formula things offsite and ship them in frozen-- and for that reason I am one not to "send it back." Total with tip including one soft drink was $40. This exceeds my pain threshold for "luncheon" menu pricing from a national chain restaurant, that's why I generally prefer non-chain, but when you have a gift card, you use it.

Service was great! Appetizers were all fried and delicious! I ordered a cosmopolitan and it was also delicious. A little sweet but good. My friend ordered the mozzarella chicken or something and I ordered the baked Parmesan shrimp or something. We both enjoyed our dishes. We chose salad vs soup which arrived super cold and appeared fresh. We ordered the bread pudding for dessert and it was divine! The manager checked on us to make sure everything was okay; it was. I overheard the table across from us compliment our server because she took extra time to make sure what they ordered wouldn't affect a food allergy that someone had. Nice. Overall a nice experience. I don't get to go out often and I was pleased. Total bill at lunch for 2 appetizers, 2 alcoholic beverages, 2 entrees (not lunch specials) and a dessert to share was less than $60. Very nice!

We finally decided to visit Olive Garden in Martinsburg. That was at best - interesting ? Table was wet. I used a napkin to dry it, and asked for a fresh one. Oops. Mistake. Once we declined tasting house wine, the things went downhill..The server (and the trainee) took our order, brought soup and salad, and disappeared. We never learned what were specials, etc etc.. After some time, main dishes were brought - except mine was not what I ordered.. and then I was told that I ordered chicken, not shrimp.. but he can fix it. Please do. After another longish time (enough that wife and daughter ate their meals) manager brought my dish. It was nice and tasty. All in all - food is OK - regular Olive garden fare; service is regular Martinsburg service (which is sad - I think with proper training and feedback from management they probably can do much better). For now - avoid, unless you really are starving and craving for American italian food. The really sad part is that such experience is quite typical for Martinsburg venues - almost like the service is totally alien concept, each person is learning by mistakes, restaurants have no interest in improving service - because everything goes. I am still waiting to find a venue where cuisine is above average, and service is an art, not a curse.

My husband and I come here often, very very friendly service and great food for the price. Always very clean and a very nice atmosphere. The menu always has specials that offer fun new choices!

Chain restaurants can be great. Believe me, because sometimes, I like predictability and having favorite entrees that can be put together the same way in different locations. Not this one. Has anyone had COAGULATED cheese? I mean, I expect fettuccine alfredo to be silky smooth. It was like pasta with playdoh bits. I don't know if they added too much starch to the sauce, but I had better pasta at different Olive Garden. Service was fine, location is questionable (no one wants to cross a busy intersection). I won't deny their soup and salad lunches, though! But their pasta leaves much to be desired.

Been here a few times in the last few months. Servers are generally great and the bartenders are awesome. Management may be cutting corners in a penny-wise, pound foolish manner. The bar area is very cold. Bartenders are put on double duty to handle to-go orders. Nobody wins when tasks are spread out this way. Food is standard Olive Garden fare. Personally I had a great experience due to the bartender, Billie but was able to observe room for improvement in the operations.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
