Food is always fresh & hot. Inside has a clean & pleasant atmosphere for dining in. However, service is Slow.. and the drive-thru is ALWAYS (its been months) out of service. For a while, the drive-up menu looked like it had been vandalized & therefore broken. But it now has been repaired BUT it still does not work. Beware there usually is not a sign attached to advise you to go inside, but they taped a sign to the actual window where you would normally transact. So don't sit there 5 min waiting, they're not going to tell you to come inside.

Speaker on drive thru broke..took 25 mins to get order and get food..then get home and they forgot aome items! No more. Im done witb you!

I was thinking about going to LJS in Martinsburg for lunch this afternoon (never been there), so this morning before work, I pulled in to look at the menu at the drive-thru. It was disgusting. The panels were broken, the speaker was dangling down, and there was a tattered sign that instructed the customer to pull up to the window to order. Then, at the window, more disgusting visual stuff. Signs were haphazardly taped to the window. The whole area was filthy and in need of cleaning and painting. When I got to work this morning, I thought I'd call corporate office and alert them to the disaster in Martinsburg. I went to the corporate website and clicked on "contact us". That prompted me for the store number located at the top of my receipt. Since I hadn't bought anything, and had no receipt, I looked on the page, and it said "Click here if you don't have a store number." I did this, then entered my city's zip code, but was told no store was located in my area. I tried entering my city and state - same thing. So, complete disrepair of the exterior of my local LJS. Inability to contact anyone at corporate to discuss. Where is Arthur Treacher's Fish 'n Chips when we need 'em?

When we walked in there were only a few people in the restaurant. We ordered and went to find a table. Most of them were dirty. I went to wash my hand before eating and a colony of flies had taken up residence in the ladies room. The garbage bin in the ladies room was full and there were paper towels all over the floor. While we sat there, a table next to us got up to leave and came back to the table with their tray full of leavings. I was puzzled, but when we got up to leave I saw why. The station to return the trays and throw away the garbage was OVERFLOWING!! Mind you, we were one of only three tables. It was disgusting. I was going to say something to the worker, but there is no way they couldn't see the trash and trays on the tables right in front of the counter to order. I WILL NOT be back!! Also, if you are going to make someone wait for their food and bring it to the table like it was freshly made, it would be nice if it was HOT!!

I am on a limited diet due to stomach surgery weeks ago, but I was able to get a grilled talapia, rice, and mixed veggies for $5.99 that wasn't too bad, and all of that is on my limited diet. The meal was presented in a microwavable dish, so methinks it's all prepared offsite for microwave re-heating. It was allright tasting, and OK value as compared to the greasy hamburg chains. But actually, you can get much the same at the grocery store too, so if you are looking for something special, it's not here apparently.

Please take note, this review is about the service of the place, not the food....the food was good (in terms of fast food).....however.....this was simply a completely and totally surreal experience I experienced today in this place. I walked in (with my mom and dad) and we went up to order....we asked if we could substitute one type of fish for another in one of the baskets, only to be told "that would be very expensive to do"....well, taking out the fact that it probably costs the place about 60 cents to do this, it was a little jarring to be basically be treated like we could not afford to do it......this was the highlight of the service we received.....I went and sat down with my mom and as her and I were sitting there waiting for the food, I notice an employee walk over and put a "Closed" sign on the door (this was about 3:00 in the afternoon!)....fast forward about 5 minutes....and we are still sitting there waiting for food....when an employee walks by, we ask her about the food we can clearly see sitting up on the window, and she says "I wanted to bring everything out together" we tell her no, bring it out when it is ready (yes, I am not even going down path of it took so long to get the food it actually had to be brought to us) and then my dad asks her why they are closed, and she says "I don't know, it is my first day and we are just shut down"...yeah, real confidence inspiring...so my dad and I's food finally arrives, so we eat, and the whole time the manager it just standing there doing absolutely nothing....we finish and leave, and as I walk out, I go to the other door and see the place was actually shut down by the health department!!! And this happened BEFORE we even got our food because there were people coming up and knocking on the door to be let in while we were sitting there waiting for our food, so instead of just telling us they were closed when we first got into the place, they served us knowing they were not supposed to because of their health violations.
