Not all Golden Corrals are equal. I really was not impressed with this one compared to the other Golden Corrals in the area (Hagerstown, MD and Winchester, VA). I feel this Golden Corral doesn't have the same quality of selection as many others.

They have the best fried chicken and staff. Amanda and Venessa are usually the servers we look for. We go to GC at least once a week since we both have busy schedules and work until 7:30 PM at times. As far as the food being dried out, if you want anything or are not happy with what you see, they will put out fresh, no questions asked. We have never had bad food or seen anyone being sick, so I'm not sure where that review was coming from. As far as buffet goes, this is one of the cleanest I've been to and the management is willing to listen to suggestions.

I'm not sure what happened since the 4 and 5 star review but.... We were seated right away and was pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness. As we went through the buffet I realized that MANY of the items were dried out and had spent entirely too much time under the lights. If you stuck to the same things everyone else was eating you are ok as these items turn over fast. If you are like me and eat some of the less popular items you are out of luck...unless you like dried out food that has spent entirely too much time baking under new heat lamps. I asked our "server" for a refill of iced tea....that took almost 20 minutes to get. He lied and said he had to brew more...however I watched him disappear outside. When he returned he wondered around a bit, then went to the front and got my tea... On the desert line, hot fudge and caramel sauce were out, cotton candy was dripping into the empty candy bowls, I had to wait for an attendant for hand dipped ice cream. I was not pleased at all. In my opinion, this place suffers from an extreme lack of sufficient adequate management! I can say this as I have worked in the food service industry for both strong managers as well as ones that could care less. It was obvious to me the manager on duty was the latter. We were in the restaurant for about 45 minutes and never saw him or her once.... In conclusion, if you want cheap all you can eat and don't care about quality or consistency then thus is the place for you!

I never expect much when going to a place like this and this place was worse than I imagined. You can't even get a steak.

Will prob not return until everyone in the area has tried it out a few times and they fire the staff that got let go at other restaurants and needed work. The restaurant is smaller than other Golden Corral sites and they don't have everything either. I tried it twice to see if I had a bad day the first time, but was just as bad today. There's a horribly long wait time. My first visit I waited 30 minutes to get a table and before I took my jacket off the server asked me how long i thought I would be! Second visit I was with family and they tried sitting our party of ten at a small table with four chairs! Medium steaks were extremely well done, chocolate ice cream machine was broken, chocolate fountain was broken, pizza was never available, bread pudding was always "23 minutes until done", steamed broccoli was basically raw, baked fish was nasty, who knows where the taco shells were and I had to go through four forks before I got a clean one. On the bright side - the corn and fried rice was cooked to perfection.

We went back to the Martinsburg Golden Corral this last Sunday after church. I had to wait for someone to carve ham and roast beef for me- they were very busy. It was the only bad point in our visit. I used to be really against the whole buffet dining, but with a big family, it works-- lots of healthy choices if you stay clear of the fried stuff.. We did have to wait for a table- and there really is no great place to wait in the restaurant. We waited less than 5 minutes for a table that fit our group of 8. For being busy, they really do keep everything clean and filled.

This place is very good as usual! New rib promo is awesome with baby backs and a new mac n cheese. I can win a grill too.

Ive been to many buffets and Golden Corral is my favorite on taste and quality. I only partake in breakfast times though. The food is always hot and fresh! I enjoy the price also you cant beat it especially if you just drink juice. Ive been to this location twice and the one thing i could only complain about is the omelette station attendant was never on site as expected.

My father and I went here to eat a meal. It was seat yourself so no wait. We prayed a blessing over our food then went out to get some. 1st complaint was the fried shrimp was burnt and small. The rolls werent well buttered. I found 3 different vegetables in my cabbage, everything was mislabeled, I went up for steak, but the steak cook wasn't anywhere to be found when he did show up, I asked for a Medium Rare steak, I got an extra rare steak. My next plate I went to get another roll and it was dry and hard, I demanded fresh rolls, and waited for them, something that actually made the manager furious at me. But if you arent doing it right and Im paying Im gonna make you redo it. Next The White Chocolate fall was only half working but the chocolate ice cream wasn't at all. Later on before we left my dad went to the stall, while I was waiting I asked for a half glass of Dr Pepper my waitress took 20 minutes to do that. The only foods that were good were the Beef Tenderloin, Bourbon Street Chicken, and Rice. This was a disgrace to the Golden Corral name.

For real? Yes, for real. The lure of Golden Corale is all you can eat buffet filled with comfort food and high calorie desserts. The fact is that for even healthy eaters this is a best kept secret bonanza of healthy choices too. A great way to load up on baked chicken and fish., salads, lean meats, fruit and unsweetened iced tea. Just because the other stuff is there doesn't mean you have to partake. The chefs/cooks, servers, and management all care about the quality of the food they serve. We should all care as much about what we eat. Besides, for the price, you'll not find a more sensible and diverse choice.

I visited this Golden Corral recently on New Year's Eve with my family. I had never been here before so I did try to keep an open mind. (Typically I am leery of buffets like this one.) Went into the restaurant and immediately noticed the extremely bright flourescent lighting. It reminded me of a school cafeteria or something. No romantic appeal whatsoever and very hard on the eyes. You have to get your drink and pay before you eat. Price was a bit outrageous - $42 dollars for just 3 people. After some searching, we found a clean table as there weren't many. Went up to check out the buffet.... can't really say that I was too impressed. The salad bar was decent. I decided to get a steak with my meal. Bad decision. It was probably the worst steak I have ever eaten... or half eaten. I asked for my steak medium. It was so difficult to cut and the texture of it was so rubbery that I just gave up after fighting with it to cut a few pieces. I then tried some fajita meat that they had out, which was surprisingly good. The rolls were probably my highlight of the whole meal. Very disappointing. I don't think I will return and spend that kind of money again.

Thought I'd give this another try come to conclusion I will not be going to this one again. Food is dry, bland & limited items and things in previous reviews remain the same. I found a hair in my food this time told the waitress she notified the manager and usually service goes down hill once you have a compliant. Been waiting 15 minutes now for a manager and the place isn't really busy, so disappointing. But I did get a free meal out of it that I'll be giving away, sorry hair in good is just gross.
