This is where I treat my family when we wanna have a special night out. Whenever we eat at similar establishments in various big cities we always compare. Maybe we are jaded but this place is always better and often a bit cheaper too. We always eat the same thing. I have steak and chicken (medium) and my wife and mother-in-law have 'geisha specials'. My two girls just eat rice and noodles. warning: although it didn't happen at this locale; another Huntington area Japanese steak house can take credit, during the obligatory shrimp toss I had a steaming, piping hot shrimp land squarely on my eyeball. Although I didn't require medical attention it was excruciating and ruined my meal. Henceforth I always wear my protective goggles when participating in said activities.

Solid asian cuisine in a good atmosphere. You can't go wrong with Hibachi or Taste of Asia if you're craving asian cuisine in Huntington--essentially a toss up. The hibachi tables here are a lot of fun as the chefs are great at what they do and very personable.

Where to start??? My husband and started keeping track if how many things were messed up. Of the 7 things ordered during our dinner, only 1 item was either correct and/or eatable. I ordered green tea, they brought out black tea. My husband order sake, they brought out some grape juice flavored something that was awful. And then it took forever to get the real sake to him. We ordered a NON-deep fried spring roll, they brought out a deep fried something. They did get the tuna sashimi order right, but then presented the tako in sashimi style as opposed to our requested style. Then came our hibachi/main dish. I ordered chicken, my husband ordered salmon. The ENTIRE dish was so salty we could feel ourselves swelling up while eating. My husband thought we had brown rice, nope, that was how much soy sauce the rice was cooked in, making white rice look brown. My chicken was very dry and over cooked. My husbands salmon was so submerged in the sauce that we were joking the fish was still swimming. Unfortunately, the fish drowned along with the rest of this meal. What a terrible dining experience.

I won't be back to Hibachi. I would rather go to Taste of Asia of Shogun any day. The area around the grill was horribly filthy, you have to ask for spoons for your soup and there was a tampon on the floor the entire time that no one bothered to pick up. Our server let our group of five know that gratuity had been added to our checks but it was split between four employees and wrote in with a pen a server tip line. The food was soaked in soy sauce, and mediocre. The vegetables were exceptionally sad looking and disappointing. I don't understand how anyone could choose this place over Taste of Asia.

Since moving away from Huntington, I can't come back and visit and not go to Hibachi! This place is perfect for big groups because of the hibachi restaurant-style seating, and their private rooms. The food is always delicious, although the chicken can be a bit dry sometimes. The chef tosses shrimp at the end of the meal (and I always catch it of course!) and does a little performance with his utensils and some of the food. I love the udon noodles and of course the ginger dressing on the salad!! So finger-lickin' good that I ask for extra and dunk my sauteed veggies in it. Cocktails here are also really inexpensive and delicious! Their flaming dragon is served with a shot in the center on fire, and meant for two. I usually just order it for myself... The Chinese section of the restaurant is also good, but the Japanese is by far my favorite.

Can't tell you how many times I've eaten here and 1. I've never had a bad meal 2. Every time it has been really good. I love the General Tso's. I like it a little extra crunchy so I order it a "extra crispy" You can get Japanese, Chinese and sushi. They Have plenty of room inside so if you have a big group they can handle it.

down hill.. .. can i say it again down hill went to this place when it opened.. years ago.. it was excellent but like MOST Huntington restaurants down hill.. what ever you do don't clean the grease off the walls. Sushi.. average now... dirty area around it. Hibachi area .. dirty . unclean .food still average.. go to taste of asia for better food and cleaner place. If you can't do the basics you don't deserve my business. C and I am being generous.

I haven't had much experience with the Chinese food menu, but I've eaten hibachi several times here. There are quite a few hibachi resturants in the vicinity of this smaller town and this is my favorite. Many if the hibachi resturants have a tendancy to put waaay too much soy sauce and it doesn't matter if you got steak, chicken, or lobster, you can't differentiate it from the vegetables. But the taste here is better. 4 stars for the wait. I've rarely been seated at my reservation time, but that's mainly because it's popular. It's worth the wait!

Pretty great Japanese steakhouse, but make sure you go hungry. They keep piling the food on like some crazy endurance challenge. Always great. Chinese food is probably the best you can get in the city and is cheap too. Try the Hong Kong Chicken--my favorite! Best sushi in the city if you've got the cash for it. Absolutely delicious dragon rolls.

We love the Chinese section for lunch- especially Thursday and the Governor's chicken- only time they make it. The lunch is very inexpensive and fresh! The Japanese section is tasty and entertaining too.

Dude, I love this place. We used to go here in big groups to celebrate everything. If we had just had a big test or if it was somebody's birthday, or it we were just hungry, this was the spot. Oddly enough, I have never been to a better Japanese steak house and even though they are kooky/cheesy, I love Japanese steak houses. This place is funky though because they have a small sushi bar out front (the sushi is not that great - the reason I only give it 4 stars, unless it has changed in the past couple of years). They have a chinese food restaurant in the middle (great garlic chicken and beef and broccoli). In the back is the Japanese steak house. It is always packed on the weekends - you may have to wait even if you have reservations. The steakhouse chefs are top of the line. They have a great time, and unlike the big national chains, they enjoy their jobs. They know all the tricks and love interacting with the patrons. I once caught 13 shrimp in a row (Not all in one session but over the course of multiple visits, but I must admit I was shamed by missing 3 in a row once and could never live it down. Once I also was hit in the eye by the shrimp, further jokes ensued.) The salad dressing is outstanding - once my friend drank his with a straw. It is addicting. Don't forget to buy the chef a shot. To get the ultimate meal, order the selection with shrimp, chicken, and steak (but substitute filet mignon for the new york strip). You will go home happy. Oh, sometimes you will see the chefs out on town after the restaurant closes. You can play them in billiards and watch them hit on college girls. Very fun!
