it's a one of a kind place. a hole in the wall of a restaurant, but the traditional ham sandwich is absolutely delicious. shaved ham with a sweetened mayo and shredded lettuce on a soft bun. my family loves this place.

I hate to be the person leaving a bad review seeing as how I had never eaten here until yesterday and was super excited about it... The server was miserable acting, my cams ham original sandwich wasn't anything special I feel like I could have made something better at home and it had two huge hairs running straight through it that I almost ate... The onion rings were more less fried onions as the batter was falling off and the Rings crumbled to pieces .. They reminded me of something dumped out of a bag from a discount grocery store... I just got up and left it all on the table it was terrible... I'm guessing everyone is just used to that type of thing and it doesn't bother them to eat there but just because a place has been around for ever doesn't mean to slack off on quality...

Cam's is a classic. They have been in business for years and it's not by accident. The food is really good and the prices are super cheap. If you are in the mood for a sandwich, try the Flaked Ham with Onion Rings. You won't be sorry. The atmosphere is casual and divey. They are in a building that has been there since the beginning of time, but don't hold that against them. It is great!!

Alright there is no better flaked ham sandwich than the one you can get at Cam's Ham. This place is superb. You'll be satisfied with anything you order and become a regular after your first visit. Definitely a homey kind of place you'd want to take your young kids to, or just a place to grab a burger and some onion rings with just a few bucks to quell that lunch break hunger.

I was born and grew up in the tri-state area. I worked in Huntington for 10 years and was a frequent diner at Cam's. LOVED IT! I left town for the west coast in 1979. This week I'm back visiting and my brother insisted we go to Cam's. All I could think about was how delicious those sandwiches and onion rings used to be. I hoped and prayed they were still just as good. They were. Outstanding! Bravo, Cam's. You've kept the secret!!! Oh, and the prices are still extremely reasonable.

When I am in Huntington Wv I must eat there.. It is 1 45 minute drive, but I have done it just for the Ham sandwich!

Quick, affordable, great service, and Good Food! Order your onion rings well done. My husband and I stopped here for something other than regular franchises the interstate offers. We didn't stop during noon (2:30) hour, we we're served and paying our ticket in 35 minutes.

This is a classic! Cam's ham is cheap, super fast, and hits the spot when you are craving that sweet ham taste with the homemade special sauce that always drips everywhere. The onion rings are fantabulous. The to-go counter takes about 30 seconds flat, and I'm pretty sure you could come in your PJ's and be gone before anyone even noticed. Don't forget to tip before they run your card! But hey, I'm just glad they take my card!

This place is a throw back. The decor is something, with the highlight being the standing grizzly. The ham sandwich is awesome, as are the onion rings. The burger's a bit puny though.

We read other reviews and thought we would try Cam's Hams. I think it is the kind of place that if you grew up with it, you are sentimental about it. I did not grow up with it and the special thing about it was the price. It is inexpensive. You get your money's worth in the size of sandwich, but the sandwich was just ok and the servers were not friendly. Food was fresh.

Cam's Ham was one of the places my husband said we "had' to visit when we were recently visiting Huntington. It was a blast from the past--both in a general sense (I doubt the decor or menu or prices have changed in decades) and for my husband, who grew up nearby. We ordered takeaway for 5 people, and probably spent less than $35.00. Amazing. Even more amazing was the fact that I loved the famous flaked ham sandwich. I've never been a particular fan of ham, so I expected to just have to grin and bear the consumption of said flaked ham sandwich, but it was actually delicious.

Ham sandwich, this place's claim to fame, is ok. Little too sweet for my taste. The onion rings are ACE. Hot, crispy, with not too soggy onion on the inside. AWESOME. Menu is very small. Building looks a little outdated.

I am going to be straight up about this review and preface by saying I was born in Huntington. Everything about this relic reminds me of my childhood. When I travel 'home' that is the first place I take my grandma to when I arrive and she still loves it! They have an extensive menu but there are truley only two items you need to order; the Original sugar flaked ham sandwich and their world reknown onion rings. Not the healthiest foods by any means but out of this world. I think it has been there for about 500 years along with the same waitstaff aside from the couple college students that wait tables briefly before flunking out of Marshall University. I have a trip planned in a couple months to return to Huntington and see the fam. I cannot wait for Cam's Ham. (rhyme everytime)

Best sugar flaked ham sandwich and onion rings I've ever had. I order onion rings at every Mom n Pop restaurant I eat at and nobody beats Cam's. If you enjoy Coca-Cola memorabilia they have a nice collection to view after you eat.

The BEST ham sandwich you could ever get! Yes, the place is a little older and the place doesn't offer any frills but it doesn't matter... the food is fantastic! Every time we go to Huntington this is our first stop! We live 5 hours away and anytime we go near that area we make a trip to Cam's! Even if we have to go out of our way! The only things that I can comment on are the ham sandwiches, onion rings, and french fries because those are the only thing we ever get there. They are to die for! You won't be disappointed!

Great onion rings! Their signature sandwich is loaded with the thinnest shaved ham I have ever seen, but you get a lot of it! Their other sandwich, the "Big Beefer" is a carnivores dream! Two beef patties with roast beef and cheese! YUM

I am dating a news reporter that works in Huntington. The first time he took me to lunch it was to Cam's Ham. I thought silently to myself..."you have got to be kidding me! I don't even like ham!!". Every time I return to Huntington, I MUST go to Cam's. Best ham sandwich (did you hear me!? I don't even like ham normally! Best onion rings hands down! The decor might not be tip-top but who cares! It's delish!
