Coming here was my first exposure to Cracker Barrel. Coming down from Cheat Lake on I-79 you can't miss it when passing through Fairmont. It was like nothing I've ever seen before. Huge restaurant filled with locals dining on good home cooking. Not to mention a country store with lots of good stuff to buy (chocolate covered pecans!)The menu itself is gigantic. It was something like "get one entree and three other sides". Have I died and gone to heaven? Two meals worth of food and all it was delicious. It was a defining moment in my trip to West Virginia, and it still brings a tear to my eye.

Ok...I'm not usually a chain reviewer, or patron for that matter, but when it comes to the CB, I'm in. I have to say that this is by far the BEST CB that I have been to (and that's compared to about 30 others across the country). The service is always fast and courteous, the food fresh and yummy, and it never seems over crowded. If you are in Morgantown, skip the new CB, and drive a little further down to Fairmont....you won't be sorry!!!

Wow! What an amazing place to eat breakfast, lunch, dinner or dessert and coffee! Thoroughly enjoyed the big country hearth in the great-room! We stayed at a nearby hotel and this gem of a restaurant made our trip extraordinary! Service is outstanding, and we tried so many wonderful things on the menu. Some of our favorites turned out to be the Oatmeal Breakfast, with cinnamon, craisins, raisins, fried apples, and steel cut oats - served with a muffin - simply outstanding! The dinner salad and soup was another favorite, as well as the Pork Chop dinner, and my husband really enjoyed the chicken and dumplings, turkey and stuffing, as well as apple pie with ice cream! Absolutely D'Lysh! The country store has all those amazing little trinkets and gifts you want to take home to your friends and family, and lets not forget an old fashioned candy or gum for your travels! Great job Cracker Barrel - now hurry up and bring your store to Southern Oregon!

Lo, but for this particular Cracker Barrel, I think I would likely be a completely raving lunatic. As much as I like to reminisce about Fairmont, actually living in Fairmont wasn't always a picnic. It is a little isolated, especially in the winter. You can feel a little cut off from civilization. Therefore, had it not been for this godsend of corporate gluttony, there are times when I probably would have become completely unhinged and totally lost touch with reality. So, thank you Cracker Barrel store #376, you carried me through the rough times.

This chain restaurant is one of the best around. There is a store in the front with lots of goodies. The service was good and the food came out in a timely matter. The prices were extremely reasonable. The portions are acceptable as well. I went with the vegetable platter ($7.69). I ordered the mixed greens salad, carrots, green beans, and broccoli. I also had a tomato, cucumber and onion salad. The platter came with 4 vegetable options. The tomato, cucumber, and onion salad was a side dish that some one at my table did not want. The mixed greens salad consisted of lettuce and I believe cucumbers. It was simple and all the ingredients were fresh. The carrots were fresh too. They had a sweet taste to them and were very good. The green beans contained little pieces of bacon in it. It was very flavorful. The broccoli seemed to be just steamed. There was not much flavor to this as I needed to add a little salt, which I hate to do. The tomato, cucumber, and onion salad was decent at best. They were cherry tomatoes and strong tasting onions. Will I go back? Yes.

Always good food and good price here. Have leftovers every time, service is decent. Good space for parking, Sunday after church let's out is probably the worst time to go.

I stopped for dinner on my way to Kentucky from Pittsburgh. I ordered the Chicken and Dumplings. It was yummy and stuck to my ribs (Liposuction appointment made). I will always go to a Cracker Barrel in lieu of Fast Food. A high recommend. Food - Yummy - predictable Service - Great Price - $10 I will be back to a Cracker Barrel near you ;-)
If you're just passing through this is a great stop for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. If you're a local, the servers likely know you by name and will ask about your family. The staff here definitely has the true southern charm. Great selection of goodies in the store. At Christmas time lots of unique ornaments. During football season lots of WVU stuff. Overall great place!

The food was great. We always order the same thing when we eat at a Cracker Barrel. Our waiter, Levi, was great and funny. He joked with us and made the visit and meal outstanding.

I can't believe this place has gotten so many good ratings. Every time I have come here, and NOT ordered breakfast, I've been disappointed. This last visit a few days ago was particularly bad. I ordered meatloaf, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, and mac and cheese. My fiancé ordered a chicken BLT sandwich with a side of dumplings and we got a side of the hashbrown casserole to share. The dumplings were taking awhile to cook, but we didn't mind waiting. By the time pur meals came out, every single thing I ordered came out cold. My fiancé's dumplings were lukewarm and slimy. When I then asked to have my plate heated up "just a little" the food that was returned was so hot it burned my mouth. The service was fine, and the atmosphere was what you'd expect. But the food is always horrendous IMO. Go to the Dot instead, you'll thank me later.
