Fusion Teriyaki Grille is an outstanding addition to the Charleston restaurant scene. I lived the last two years in Seoul, South Korea, a city with an amazing variety of good restaurants. Fusion Teriyaki would fit in nicely in any good neighborhood of Seoul, but luckily we get to have it in Charleston. The food is fresh, flavorful, and good quality. It's good food served fast, and you can enjoy a good beer with your lunch or dinner. The prices are really good and the menu has a pretty wide variety. The restaurant is clean and modern. While the food is very true to its Korean roots, you can taste other accents. Amy, one of the co-owners told us that the chef spent part of his early career in Mexico and you can taste that influence in some of his foods. Both of the young people who have invested their savings into this restaurant want to bring an enjoyable and healthy eating alternative to Charleston. They're genuinely nice folks; they and their team will treat you kindly. Give them a try; you'll be pleasantly surprised.

We've been here 3 times. They offer some unique items on the menu and the promise of freshness. They also offer bottles of decent beer. The atmosphere is Subway'ish. Typically clean and comfortable. The prices are around $10/each for meal and fountain drink. Unfortunately, the food is pretty consistently bland for me. The fruit and salads are fresh, but the meats and rice all tastes pretty much the same. The short ribs deviate from the flavor slightly, but not enough to make me want it more than anything else in the place. Maybe the flavor is just the teriyaki that they want to put on everything - it is called "Teriyaki Grille" after all. I've had the Korean Short Rib, Pork Bulgogi, and today's "special". Can't recall the name of the special, but it was effectively skewers of chicken with green onion between the pieces. Sounds interesting!! Tastes . . . the same. Chances are, we'll come back (because my wife loves it), but I will continue to hope for something to wow me each time.

Very clean restaurant. Friendly and helpful staff. Ordered the pork plate (#5 on the menu). I really like it. Tasted a little bland, but the flavor really popped after I added some of their teriyaki sauce. My only complaint was the noise. The radio was a little too loud and the station where they cut up the meat sounded like someone was constantly hammering nails in the wall.

The bright & open interior is a refreshing breath of air. You don't find a lot of spaces like this here in Charleston. I got a chance to speak with one of the owners Amy. She is a sweetheart and you can see that she truly values her customer and the quality of her food. Everything is made fresh to order! The kalbi and spicy pork are my favorites! It's definitely something that reminds me of home (I guess it also has to do with the fact that the menu was inspired by a Korean Chef from Los Angeles). Gotta admit- the prices are a bit steep, but you get what you pay for.

Sweet and Salty Who doesn't love sweet and salty. I know I do. In what has to be the fastest remodel in Charleston's history the fast casual Korean fusion eatery is open for business. Located in a former Penn Station the space has been transformed into a modern but pleasant dining space. Plenty of seating space to handle to lunch rush but parking has always been an issue. Plate and bowls of Korean meats and rice dominate the menu. Plates are the same as bowls with the addition of a green salad and fresh fruit. I had the pork plate or #6. It was delightful and left me wanting more. A major improvement over pen station is this place serves beer! Give it a try. Prices start at $6.99.

Steak bowl is the way to go! Tons of flavor and a lot of food for the price. My lunch companion got the chicken bowl and the chicken was good but didn't have as much flavor as the steak. We got there at 11 am and the place began to fill up around 11:45. Service was very friendly and fast, and the restaurant is clean.

Everything is super fresh and very tasty. Their homemade hot sauce is very good and is must. Very clean atmosphere and a nice addition to the Charleston food scene!

Perfect if you want some fast, fresh grilled Asian style food. This place has the best salmon in town no lie. I don't know why it's called fusion though. Our favorite cashier here looks like Corbin Bleu

Tried it for the first time. There could be vetter parking but in that area it would be hard. Had to drive around the block 3x. But it was noon and they were busy. The food was made to order. Very clean and nice in the inside. Got chicken and steak bowls one with veggie one without. Everything was delicious but my boyfriend wasn't too thrilled about the veggies. They seemed not fully cooked like he is used to. But food is delicious and definitely worth it. The prices are fair and food is good.

Really great option for fast, healthier food. My only suggestion is that they offer more veggies. I got a bowl that was supposed to have veggies and all it had was meat with some bits of cabbage. I would love to be able to get something that had a variety of fresh vegetables in it. The Korean barbecue and Kim Chi are excellent.
