Went here for lunch today with a co worker. I had the mushroom and horseradish cheese burger. It was cooked as I asked and great bun. The fries seem to be cut on site and we're delicious and hot. Our server was great. She was very knowledgeable about the menu. Overall good experience. Would definitely go again.

The burgers are obviously fresh and cooked to order with a great fresh bun. I had the mushroom and horseradish cheese burger with beer battered onion rings. Beer selection is good with 3 WV brewed beers on tap out of 10 taps. Good bottle selection with the usual selections. Owner is very responsive to suggestions and knowledgable of beers. The review above was obviously disgruntled about something and not giving an honest review.

Amazing food as always! My wife and I split a Gouda Burger and Montecristo, both were phenomenal. Beer sampler is also a nice touch.

Very good beer selection for the valley with an always changing selection of drafts and usually several West by-God sourced brews. Sun-tue are "Mystery Beer" days, where $2 gets you a random beer from the cooler - which can mean some solid crafts for bargain basement cash. The food is quite good. Their burgers are their go-to and they do them right. Made and cooked to order, with a wide (but not outrageously so) selection of toppings and specialty load outs. The fries are hand cut and flavorful and worth getting a basket of by themselves. And for the drinker, B&D now has a full bar available, so a fine cocktail is an option. I tend to stick with the beer, but have had a Blanton's (neat, ice water back) from time to time. Nice, sports-bar-but-not-too-sports-bar atmosphere. Plenty of TVs for the game but quiet enough for a conversation. Well worth your time and dining/drinking dollars.

Every time I visit Charleston I dread having to stay more than one night, because the complete lack of half way decent restaurants. Aside from Pies & Pints I have never found anything worthwhile... Thankfully B&D was found! The beer selection was just okay, nothing overly special, but for a WV restaurant I guess I can't complain. I started with the nachos, nothing really special, the dip was average and chips not homemade. I had the Bacon Cheddar Ranch Burger and it was fantastic! Great bun, burger cooked perfect and the bacon perfectly crispy; the homemade ranch sauce was damn good. I chose garlic fries to accompany the burger and they didn't disappoint like most garlic whatever side you would get. Nice fresh, minced garlic! The service lacked in it's friendly face as all of the servers and the bartender had a perpetual frown, and the bartender wasn't very talkative, but she was around when needed. Based on one meal the food defies the state of WV and the culinary abyss that it is and I will most certainly go back next time I'm in town!

Service is always great, and they may just have the best tap selection in town. Their Reuben is probably my favorite in Charleston, but I always get their Rachel! The Reuben egg roll is not to be missed- it's as memorable as the deep fried feta at adelphia. Everytime we eat here (a few times a month), we have a conversation along the lines of, "more people need to know about this place!" My husband loves a lot of their burgers... The soups we've tried have all been delicious, too. Definitely one of my favorite places in town!

Very good lil gastropub. We started w the dragon bites - delish! I had a bacon ranch chicken sandwich w garlic fries. Do not pass on those garlic fries!! My friend had the garlic aioli chicken sandwich and said it was great too. She had the sweet potato fries which were yummy. It's not crazy fancy but it's nice and cozy. Not a great wine selection but they had the basics. Beer is more their thing. Overall a nice experience!!

Good burgers here. They also have a decent beer selection and ciders are available as well. My family and I have had lunch here a few times and I have also used this place for business lunch meetings as well.

Tried this place for the first time the other night with my co-workers. Atmosphere is lacking, but with casual fare that can be expected. Perfect place for appetizers & drinks. Great selection of draft beer and huge mixed drink menu. I decided to try a beer flight of 4 decently sized samples of 3 local brews & a Christmas ale. I like to support local breweries when I can, so they scored points by having a handful of WV options. Every appetizer was pretty tasty and there were some unique options such as "pastrami egg rolls" and feta stuffed dates wrapped in bacon. Delish. I'll return next time I'm craving good bar food & a cold draft.

Great burgers and beer! Remedy burger is my favorite! Dragon bites are amazing too! Will definitely be back!

Went for dinner. Appetizers are good (Dragon bites). The burgers sound great, but are INSANELY overpriced. 12$ for a burger. The meat they use has a texture like it is pre-pattied. It is a let down for a place to specialize in something and fail so hard. I will not ever order a burger there again, and likely never return.

The food was good and we appreciated the beer selection. The atmosphere leaves something to be desired, but I can get over that if I'm happily fed and the company is nice. What I can't get over is how touchy feely our server was. He put his arm around my husband and attempted to "scare me" by sneaking up behind my bar stool and poking/tickling my sides. Who does that? I have a background in food service, my standards are high, but I know how important it is to give businesses time to get rolling. We will be back, but I hope the service standard improves.

After reading reviews, I was a little skiddish to come here. However, my fears were unwarranted. Great burgers and beer selection. Owner was super knowledgable and very friendly. Highly recommend checking the place out. Craft beers and rib meat burgers do add up, but are worth it. Perfect for a football weekend with all the tvs. Not a bad seat in the house.

I've been there four times and not had a bad experience at all. The fresh draft beer, with a lot of it being local, is superb. Chimay on draught, bonus! The burgers are great, the chips are great, the fries are great. Although some may find this place pricey, I believe that you will get what you pay for.

Overpriced, bad (mostly inexperienced) service. If they can survive long enough to work the kinks out, the idea was nice, but the execution is terrible. These folks are claiming to be West Virginia's first "gastropub" - which is simply not at all the case. This isn't a gastropub anyway, but if it were it would be competing against all of Charleston's many gastropubs, like Pies and Pints, Bridge Road Bistro, Charleston Brewing Company and so many others... The burgers are their main attraction, and despite early statements that they would be from Buzz Food Service, these are pre-made, frozen 6-oz burgers from US Food Service. And they are not good. Toppings not as advertised. The garlic fries were not good. Jalapeño boats, not good. Wings were so-so. Fried Veggie Appetizer was good. No prices listed on the beer menu, but they were very expensive (especially since they served 8 oz and 16 oz beers interchangeably, and for the same price. Do yourself a favor. Get a burger from Five Guys for half the price - and 10 times better - and a six pack of anything from the Capitol Market Wine Shop. Your wallet, your stomach and your pallete will thank you.
