Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

I really wish I had gotten a chance to dine in, but we were traveling through and decided to do take-out to eat back in our hotel room. The menu was pretty expansive and the food was good. I had the pungent chicken, which was delicious. The sauce was very flavorful and the vegetables and pineapple that accompanied the chicken was nicely cooked. The fried rice wasn't bad, just a little bland, though. My wife had the house special chicken with sesame seeds. She liked it, but was surprised that it was a bit spicy. She asked them for sesame chicken and was told this was the equivalent. Usually that's not a spicy dish. It was delicious, though. A lot better than at many chinese places as it wasn't breaded and had a nice, flavorful sauce with it. We split a sushi roll. It wasn't bad at all. Not the most flavorful, but still very fresh and welcome after a long day of driving. Chinese food always feels like a comfort food to me, so I was really glad to find this place while traveling. I'd definitely stop by again if I was passing through the area.

My family has a tradition of eating at a "random Chinese" restaurant while coming home from vacation. We picked Young Chow because of its convenient location to the highway. The good location of this restaurant is the reason I'm giving it even 1 star. This restaurant sucks!! From the service to the food, my husband's description was "it blows!"

I had not been to Young Chow's in a couple of years and decided to check it out again. It was still pretty good, but I felt like there has been a drop in quality. The egg roll was pretty good, but the coleslaw they brought out was not flavored very well. The cabbage was also really soggy and I remember it used to be more crunchy. I ordered tofu with vegetables and garlic sauce. The sauce and vegetables were good, but the tofu wasn't cooked very well. I prefer tofu to be firm, but it was falling apart. The center was still pretty watery. Our waitress was wonderful, though. She kept up with the refills and was very friendly. I'll have to check out Young Chow's again someday because maybe it was just an off day...

Great food. Attentive service. Interesting and pleasing atmosphere. We ate way too much and we have leftovers. I recommend.

This is my all time favorite Chinese place. I make it a habit to eat at Young Chows every time I visit Beckley. If you enjoy garlic, I highly recommend the Pungent Chicken, a unique dish that I can't seem to find anywhere else. Their lunch portions can't be beat for the price. They also serve a complimentary coleslaw dish made with rice wine vinegar with fried wontons as you sit down, very tasty!

We ordered Chinese last night and was mildly satisfied. The spring rolls were some of the best I have ever had, however the crab rangoon left something to be desired. The main dishes were good, but not great. Overall, I would order food again just for the spring rolls.

Food is fresh and large portion. A little bid noisy with the food cart delivery. Best place in Beckley.

It wasn't the best Chinese food I've had but it wasn't horrible either. We were driving home from a vacation on I77 and I found this place on the iExit app so then I decided to look it up on yelp and decided the reviews were good enough for us to make a stop. When we got there the place was empty and we were promptly seated in a booth. Our waitress brought us a complimentary lettuce type salad which tasted almost like the filling of spring rolls; it was very yummy. She also brought out chips and 2 sauces to dip them in. The four of us all ordered wonton soup and after trying it we agreed it wasn't the best we've eaten but it was still edible. The entrées were served family style which was nice because we got to try what everyone else ordered. Two of us ordered the pineapple chicken, one of my favorite combinations, and the other two ordered the teriyaki chicken & shrimp and some type of sushi. My opinion is that the sauce that the pineapple chicken was served with does not belong with pineapple; it was a very strange taste. I also ordered the lo mein noodles for my side and they were not lo mein noodles thus they didn't taste like lo mein noodles. I thought the fried rice was just okay; it tasted a little bland. The sushi was also below average. I did enjoy the teriyaki chicken though; it had a good flavor. Overall, I thought this place was just okay. It was convenient so we made a stop but I would never go out of my way to eat here.

When you find yourself in West Virginia on a road trip in the snow and you're sick and you want vegetables, Young Chow's is an oasis in a sea of deep fried deliciousness. Their hot mustard really clears your sinuses, and their spicy cabbage slaw is delicious and refreshing. The fried wonton skins were a nice appetizer and the soup was pretty good. Their hunan chicken had a great sauce and their mixed vegetables get points for not being originally frozen (I hate mushy broccoli). I'd say their food (compared to other Chinese food, and I've had a lot) is probably 3 stars for what we had, but they get an extra star for being exactly what we were looking for in an unfamiliar place.

He said: My first trip to Chow's. It was ok. I'd give it one star less than her, but she knows the place over years. I ordered the duck and they incinerated it. I did eat some of it anyhow, but was disappointed and so I asked the waitress if they could take half off since they really over-cooked it. I was hoping that the manager would come and take the whole thing off, but that didn't happen. I guess I got what I asked for, so I shouldn't complain. I'd go again if she wanted to... She said: There are two things I love about Young Chow's restaurant. First is the Spicy Cabbage appetizer they bring to your table. Along with that, they bring fried wontons with duck sauce and hot mustard on the side for dipping. The second is the Hot 'n' Sour Soup. Oh yes...it is SO good. I have eaten Chinese food in dozens of places in my life, but this has always been the best I've ever had. It is always consistent. It is always good.
