Very tasty breakfast- great prices, friendly staff, and quick service. A terrific spot to grab a satisfying meal and avoid the crowds/long waits at T&B he tourist destinations. A family favorite whenever we're in town, we recently brought guests visiting from CA and they enjoyed it, too! Just remember to bring cash- they don't accept credit cards.

Cafe's should represent home cooked food at reasonable price, this was a poor value .the portion were small, the quality bad and the prices high.two French toast two sausage and a hash browns made with mash potato. $10 Stay away

Quaint little place with tables and a counter; have only had breakfast here. which was pretty good. Standard coffee and fast service.

Great place for breakfast. This is where the locals eat.

After driving around at 6 in the morning to find a place open for breakfast we came across The Woods. We were promptly greeted when we walked in. My husband and I both ordered the same thing. It was a short wait for food. While waiting Our coffee mugs never emptied, always checking to see if we needed more. Food was excellent. Overall a great experience. The decor is older bit that makes it better. Will Definately come back if we are in the area.

Early morning breakfast before spending day on lakes. Nothing fancy, just a nice selection of basic meals. Had the hash with pancakes, both were good. Serving size was enough that I made it all day with just a snack. Cash only no WiFi. Better than the 3 other restaurants in area I tried. This is a locals type place but the staff was friendly and attentive to all.

I came in at 9:20 am on a Tuesday. The place was pretty empty. The hostess/waitress was friendly and said I could sit anywhere. She was quick to come ask for my order, but friendly when I asked for more time. I glanced around at the other tables while I waited for my food, everything looked very clean, and they were very quick to clean up after some people who had just left. I ordered 3 buttermilk pancakes ($4.75) and a side of bacon ($5). They arrived in less than 10 minutes. The pancakes were huge. I probably should have ordered just 2. But they were delicious; super fluffy. The bacon was between crispy and crispy, that just might be something you need to specify individually (I.e. "bacon extra crispy please") But it still tasted good. The biggest downside for me was they had pancake syrup instead of maple syrup, but I know that maple syrup is more expensive and I'm a maple syrup freak. So I'm not holding it against them, but if you prefer maple syrup I'm just letting you know. After I have a wonderful meal, the bill comes so I take out my credit card. They don't take credit cards. There was no sign to indicate this, so unless you've been here before (which I hadn't) I'm not sure how you would know. So I had to run across the street to walgreens and use the atm. so this meal basically cost me $3 more than it should have. still giving a decent review since the food and service was good otherwise.

This place is a time capsule! Everything is right out of the 50's; the decor, the menu, the quality. It's old fashioned looking but perfectly maintained. How do they do it? While I might look for a more updated approach to cuisine, it's all done right. The fries are hot and crispy. The warm cinnamon roll is to die for. The soup is wonderful. There's always breakfast items available, so it's a crowd pleaser when you have late- sleepers AND those ready for lunch. I have been there twice. Both times were outstanding. Go.

What a marvelous breakfast we had. Visited with the locals and traditional breakfast fare including corn beef hash. VERY reasonably priced and friendly staff. A must stop when visiting the Minocqua WI area.

Classic '50s cafe feel. Good food, even better service. Thanks for staying open late to get us in...
