Wife and I ate here on Sunday night. We both had the steak and lobster B.I. Special.Brandy old fashioneds beforehand and grasshopper and pink squirrel afterwards. All was good.Salad bar a little inconvenient to get to while the old timers created a masterpiece....a little wait in line.We were a little irritated that the Sunday night BI special for $20.00 was not available for holiday weekends.Should have put that little item on Facebook or somewhere where it would be noticed. We ordered it anyway, and got out of there for a little over $100 with tip.At today's prices I guess that's a good thing.Again, all the food and drinks were top notch.

I sooo wanted to give this place a higher review, but I just can't. Overall our experience was just alright. Not bad, not good but mediocre. We went on a Friday night and arrived a little after 7. The dining room is very small so there was about a 20 min wait so we sat at the bar and had a drink. The bartender was attentive and gave us menus to look at. About 15 minutes later the waitress came over and took our order. We were a bit confused because we didn't realize they take your order before seating you. No big deal. I ordered the prime rib and of course they were out. Decided to go with the 6 oz tenderloin and the garlic mashed potatoes. My boyfriend ordered the steak and ribs. We got seated at our table and hit the salad bar. A nice small selection of salad and pasta salads. The waitress had bread on the table when we sat and came to check on us. My boyfriend also got soup with his order and that came out and out order about 10 minutes later. Since I had the lighter order it was really small for 6 ounces and the mashed potatoes were equally as small. My steak was cooked fine but it had no flavor whatsoever even with the au jois. The potatoes were good. My boyfriends steak was very chewy and he said not a very good cut for the amount of money it was. He also thought that it didn't have much flavor. The ribs were good he said. So overall, the service was good, the atmosphere was nice although small, but the food was just average-especially for the prices.

I've noticed that they now have real bacon bits! That's a step in the right direction for sure. However, based on entrées, I still have to say that this is only a 3 star establishment. Hopefully, my next visit will persuade me otherwise.

Love this place!! Been going their since we bought a cabin on Lake Camelot in 2001. Let's get something clear this is not a Steak restaurant if your from Illinois or live near a larger city, what this area likes for its steaks are not what you will like... But that doesn't mean they don't have other foods hat are very good, Scallops, Shrimp ( Broiled), Pork chops, and fish. The owners are fantastic, very friendly and very courteous, after a few trips we were treated as regulars and I'll be there this weekend!!!

I have been here many times for the Friday fish fry and salad bar, which are very good. I never heard anything about their cheeseburgers, so I was surprised how good the one I had last night was. Toasted bun, juicy large hamburger, and melted cheese and onions, that all came together for one of the best cheeseburgers I had in a long time. And to Larry, if you were in a hurry, should of stuck around. Should the hostess make people wait, while you run errands? How does she know you are coming back? I don't think she should have put you at the end of the line, but maybe you had an attitude? I have been coming here 16 years and have never seen the hostess be anything but polite and gracious.

The Branding Iron is a supper club I've been going to since I was a little girl with my parents. I have never had a bad experience in all my years. Because The Branding Iron knocks it out of the park at a consistent 100% of the time, it's the place my fiance and I choose to go for all our special occasions. Prices are quite reasonable for the extremely high quality of food, fantastic service and classy atmosphere. Their prime rib is just insane. It's so delicious, I can't even believe it. Every time I have it, it's just fantastic. Their King Crab legs are pre-split and delicious, although they're at market price, so sometimes are not affordable. The drinks and cocktails are well-made by a bar staff that knows what they're doing. There's a reason The Branding Iron has been around as long as it has, and I'm sure it'll be here for many, many years to come.

party of ten on Friday(12/27/12)--good service at bar with well made cocktails--mixed drinks on the strong side! Orders are taken at the bar(usually) with prompt seating and salad bar to enjoy(?). Salad bar is pretty standard with some macaroni salads and a bowl of chopped green salad. The liver pate seemed to be seasoned with lots of horseradish(?)-not very good We had ribeye dinner and fried perch dinner--rib eye was on the thin side, it was cooked well but completely devoid of seasoning(a common complaint of the steak eaters at our tables---fish was ok--garlic mashed potatoes were very good--no vegetables were served. the dessert list looked good but we didn't sample any.

Quite possibly the only restaurant in Rapids where you can expect to get a great meal. Friendly staff and very good steak and seafood. Typical wisconsin supper club fare.
