Buy a $100 gift card and get a $20 coupon. Sounds good? Not if it doesn't, expect a hassle. Most coupons with gift cards are for use anytime. Maggiano's has a page of terms and conditions for use and an expiration date. Read them. Most companies have one phone number or one website to handle problems. Maggiano's has many websites and phone numbers and no one follows up well. Here is a summary of our hassle. Many different things did not work. The phone number on the back of the gift card did not help. Maggiano's website complaint took several attempts to get to 5 hour customer services. Maggiano's website had a phone number for the Springfield, VA location. Lauralen/Manager offered to help as a last resort. The website had routed calls to her from all over the country --- San Francisco and Las Vegas. Brinker.com did not work at all. Customer Service wanted a confirmation number. I emailed the gift card number, credit card info, and date we bought. They treated us like we were cheating them. Frustrating and humiliating. I contacted the Milwaukee Maggiano's Gen Mgr for help. Then I found the email with the confirmation number. The punchline today after about three weeks: they said my email address was wrong but they got the confirmation emailed to me. [I research for a living. For something like this, I wondered how bad it was going to get.] We love Maggiano's. After this experience, we wonder.

The place is very large and the tables are packed. The prices are very reasonable and the bread with olive oil is great. Our service was very good but the food was nothing special. If you are looking for a reasonably priced place with American style Italian food it is not bad at all.

I went with my friend for lunch last Saturday. We sat outside on the patio to enjoy the beautiful weather! We ordered wine & our food right away, and someone other than our server brought bread to our table. Everything was going fine, although our waitress wasn't overly attentive. Our meal came and I was unpleasantly surprised to see that they changed the potatoes that come with the Chicken Francese (I always order the same thing although I hadn't been to Magginao's in probably a year or so). The new potatoes still tasted ok, but the old ones were out of this world! Our server brought our bill WHILE we were still eating, and she took my salad without asking if I was done with it - which I was NOT! I'm glad I paid for a salad that I didn't get to finish! I was very upset about this! She also took away our bread which we weren't done with. She came back only a few minutes later to take our bill, which we had just looked at and set back down because we were still drinking our wine. We told her we weren't ready and she said to take our time, but she seemed kind of rude about it. After we put it back out with our payment, she THEN asked us if we wanted another glass of wine. So, now that I'm paying you think I want more wine? We didn't since the service wasn't good and our small glasses of wine were $7.75 a piece! We left to go get another drink somewhere else! Based on the experience I'd probably give 3 stars .. but I contacted Maggiano's and got the most generic response imaginable! Most of my concerns weren't even addressed and the fact that the waitress was rude, took our food without asking, etc. wasn't addressed except they said we should have asked for a manager. Maggiano's made no attempt to right their wrongs, so I don't picture myself going back anytime soon.

I travel to Wauwatosa frequently and while I have dined at other Maggiano's, this was my first (and probably my last) time eating here. When we first walked in did not think this was the same Maggianos I had eaten at in Atlanta and Las Vegas. The décor was much more casual then I remember. I actually felt like I was in a renovated Pizza Hut. There were four of us and we had reservations so we were seated quickly. Service was good, our waitress, although very new was attentive. She just didn't have a grasp of the menu and had no real recommendations. I ordered the Lobster baked Tilapia. While we waited the brought us bread, which was really good, it was hot. I never understand why some restaurants don't serve the bread warm, its so much better. When dinner came they messed up the order and one of our guests had to wait another 10-15 minute for them to re-cook his meal. My Tilapia looked great but that's where the good news ended. It was very bland. As many of you know Tilapia is a very mild fish, hardly any flavor. It requires careful seasoning which mine did not have. I mean it had NO seasoning whatsoever. I ate about two bites and passed on the rest. Know two things to keep in mind, and the only reason I didn't give it a 1 star review. Everyone I was with said their dishes were tasty, AND when I complained about my meal to the waitress, they took it off the bill, good customer service. Not sure if I will go back, there are so many restaurants in the area that I want to try and I can get bad Italian food at home.

Maggianos made good on its poor service at our last visit and we brought ten people back for an event tonight. Having eaten last week at Chicago's legendary Italian Village, my wife said the sauce at Maggiano's is better. The deals ($12.95 plus another entree of similar value to take home free) are still great, even if Olive Garden and others have tried to copy them. The $12.95 dessert sampler is a real bonus to be shared by two or three. Service and ambience tonight was great.

I want to like Maggiano's and have been here a number of times but I have never had a good meal here - but the others I have been with have. Last time we dined here about a month ago, we had good service, but my main course salad was inedible and soggy (how can you screw up a salad?). Time before that my steak was awful while everyone else's dinner was fine. Not sure why I keep getting the short straw on bad food here, but the rest of the people I dine with get great food (I have tasted their meals). Generally a pleasant atmosphere, and service is usually prompt.

I was excited to come to Maggiano's for dinner once I learned about their gluten free pasta. I took my fiance out for dinner and while the food was alright for being sensitive to my allergies the service was horrible. The server never seemed to get anything right. She brought the wrong wine, walked away from the table as soon as I mentioned the allergy, and was very unpleasant. Maybe it's their way of saying that I should take my food to go.

I usually am not a fan of chain restaurants but I won a $25 gift certificate and by chance, I happened to be near Maggiano's with extra time on my hands. I had time because I needed to take my iPod to the apple store for repair and I had to make an appointment with a "tech". The appointment was an hour away so I thought I could squeeze in lunch. We waited quite a while as a large group in front of us were seated so by the time we were seated we had less than 50 minutes. I explained my predicament to the waitress and she said she would do her best. I ordered the Ruffino Salute Amico, which is made just for Maggiano's and my husband ordered the house Pinot Grigio. They were both very good, in fact the Salute Amico was fantastic. I was sorry to find out it was exclusive to the restaurant. We were served warm, fresh bread with olive oil. The bread was nice and dense which soaked up the olive oil nicely. The pasta dishes were buy one get on free (weird) so I ordered the 4 cheese ravioli with pesto and fettuccine alfredo to go. My husband ordered a chicken special that was not on the menu. It was breaded and sauteed with mushrooms and served over gnocci with vegetables covered with a white sauce. He said it was delicious. The pasta was good, but I wished I would have tried a specialty dish. The waitress was very accommodating. In fact she brought the carry out fettuccine before our lunch came. The service was incredible and we were out the door within 45 minutes. Just in time to get to the Apple store but wishing we had time to order a cannoli for dessert.

I suppose there's not much special to say about Maggiano's. I like their pasta. Their newest menu add of Marco's Meal for two is a favorite of my husband and me. You start with the option of two salads or an appetizer to share. You each get an entree from their classic pastas (plus another choice for each of you to take home) and then a dessert to share. It's enough food for at least 2 meals. They just changed their cheese shakers and man that stuff pours out! (great for me!!!) Food is tasty, service is good enough (our drinks were refilled in a timely manner) and service is with a smile. Parking lot is sometimes a pain since it's in the mall, but if you can get lucky with a spot, great! Also good for group dining. You can end up with food for a week with a group of 4 or more.

Shared the spinach salad and mussels. Both were great. I'd go back for that.

This place is great. The food is authentic. You can dine in or take out. It does get very busy and crowded because everyone likes it so much so we prefer to take it home. The food is great and you get a lot! I dont think it is expensive because of how much you get. The rigatoni D is so great. This is authentic Italian so keep that in mind when you come, for instance mozarella stick is not some finger size stick its a thick slap of breaded mozarella. Its so good. The ziti is good also. Make reservations online or call to get in fast.

The once shining star is showing is rapidly losing it's luster. Had I written a review for Maggianos before 2010, I would have given it a solid 4. That ship has sailed my friends. This used to be my favorite "chain" restaurant. What happened? Let's go down the list, shall we? 1. Either their intelligence standard for employees has significantly slipped, or people are getting stupider. Although I have never been one to put a lot of faith in the intelligence of mankind, I think I would have to pin this one on Maggianos. They have a great product, and a nice location, they just lack an efficient liaison between themselves and my belly. Shame shame. 2. They are underestimating their clientele. We don't all fall for that "take one home" deal. Although its a great deal, the quantity of the take home entree is half of the portion served in the restaurant. My leftovers have been larger than the "take home" entree. Plus, the "take home" entree list is very limited. 3. They do not know how to tell time. Apparently, when you make a reservation for 6:00 on a Friday, they interpret it as " Come on in at 6, we'll give you a pager and through you in the Que with all the other walk-ups." You can also interpret "Your take out order will be ready in 20 minutes" as "Please come in 20 minutes so you can watch us root around for your order for 15 minutes, tell you it will only be another minute, and please sit on the crowded waiting bench with all the other suckers for 15 more minutes whilst your car gets towed from the 10 minute parking zone." I might be exaggerating about the tow job, but the rest of the statement is fairly accurate. Because I love the baked zitti and their Italian sausage and don't want to see them go away, I will offer some advice: Please Mr. Letusserveyou Franchisee, wake up. Don't rest on your laurels. You need to always strive to be better. In today's age of ever-increasing restaurant dining options, there is a list a mile long of places we have yet to try in this city. Just because you built it, it don't mean that we will continue to come.

Only reason for four stars is I just cannot get past the fact that the same wine that I can buy for about $15.00 a bottle at Discount Liquor is $16.50 for a nine ounce glass. However, other than that, what a wonderful place for dinner. Everything was cooked to perfection and our waiter staff was incredibly thoughtful without being pushy and around every two minutes. I will definitely go back again, except this time I think I'll stick with water to drink.

No idea why this place is packed as often as it is. I think it's the Wisconsin belief that "the more food you get, the better the restaurant is". Appetizers are okay but the main dishes are two steps above places like Fazoli's, at best. Service has always been decent but for a place that usually has an hour wait on the weekends I would expect better. There are much better Italian restaurants in Milwaukee.

For Gluten Free pasta choices in a chain restaurant.. right now this ones got the cake for me. Ive been here two times in the past few weeks-- (all at corporate events--so I will speak to that aspect of their service and seating) and I am definitely going to try back as a normal customer. They take pretty good care of you.. there is always a server waiting to take your empty plates or refill your drink. I emailed with the events coordinator in order to make sure that my meal wouldnt be a suprise and that there would be something that I would be able to eat.. both times they were very accomodating.. she even gave suggestions after I had confessed that I hadnt eaten there before. For the first course.. the first time I was there it was a salad with a light dressing and lots of good veggies and it was topped with bacon.. I was skeptical about this as the sight of crumbled or chopped up bacon usually makes me really grossed out but this was quite good.. the second time we had a big caprese salad passed around.. also fresh and tasty.. For the main course I got the Rigatone D pasta with Chicken both times and its really enough for two meals.. and two big meals at that. My coworker who is also gluten free had the salmon and loved it too. The other people in our party enjoyed the baked cheese with marinara sauce.. it made my mouth water too.. from a safe distance of course haha.. For dessert.. I was lucky enough to get to try the creme brulee for the first time I was there.. I CANNOT EVEN TELL YOU HOW GOOD THIS WAS.. it was like a huge plate of it too.. I spent the whol next week dreaming of the dessert I would be having the following week at my second time there.. This time I had the flourless chocolate cake.. not going to lie.. another homerun! I took some home and snuck bites from it for the next week. Any questions or concerns I had about the gluten free menu were answered and everything tasted great.. the seating wasnt too cramped as I had read in previous articles but I will make sure to post an update when I go in January as a normal diner!

My family of 6 arrived at 3 on Sunday to an almost empty restaurant. We were seated in the middle of two other families, one had to move there table to better accomandate us. We asked the manager if it would be possible to provide a larger table and space, the companies policies would not allow to move two tables together to provide comfortable seating. It is very obvious the main goal of this restaurant is to cram as many people into as small a space for maximum profit, explaining the emptiness.

I am normally not a fan of chain restaurants but this experience was too good not to give a great rating. We hosted my brother's wedding rehearsal dinner here and were able to fit 40 people in one of their back rooms. The food was great from the bruschetta to the caesar salad to the chicken parm to the apple crostada to the.. I could go on and on The servers were attentive and you almost didn't notice that they were there the way they went about the room. I would recommend Maggiano's for a group outing! I have never been as a diner in the main area but would be willing to try.

Maggiano's is supposed to replicate an Italian family dinner. I get it. Warm tones, checked tablecloth. Check. The biggest complaint I have about Maggiano's is the seating. I don't like sitting on top of my family or anyone else for that matter. This was probably the most uncomfortable meal I've ever had. I arrived late for dinner and met my friends who had already been seated. I'm a really big guy, and I had to fight my way through about a dozen other dinner parties to get to our table, then when I finally sat down I felt like I should offer the woman behind me a seat on my lap. The food is just fine, the service is decent but I felt like I was sitting in a desk in high school. Come on Little Italy, tall people have their needs too!

I ate here for a business meeting in one of their community rooms. So, this review is more about the service and food in one of their meeting rooms. The seating was a bit cozy, the large chairs around the circular tables were faced in the direction of the projection screen. We had a large group, a sell-out, no seat empty. We were sitting near a wall and the 2 waiters that filled our water glasses and brought out the family-style portions did have a bit of trouble getting to the outer perimeter, bumping chairs, and I felt the need to keep pulling in my chair. The family-style portions were slightly different in real "portions". The appetizers and bread basket were not enough to go around the table of 8 of us. But the entrees had more than enough to feed to 8 of us, and sadly the leftovers were taken from the table and thrown out. I am the type to not see food go to waste, so this made me sad. The desert was a huge triangle silce of cheesecake, and tiramisu. This proved a bit complicated for eight people to easily take equal portions without destroying the slices. The flavor of the food was good, not great. The beef was dry and hard to bit into, chewy. The rest of the food was again good, not great. Though i am a sucker for cheesecake, which always tastes good to me! I would go again if my business provided dinner for us again, but not sure if I would eat here with my spouse. The tables in the restaurant were so close together and the portions are a bit large, unless you like eating leftovers. Don't get me starting on parking. Since this location in connected to Mayfair Mall, parking can be a bit of a hassle and a long walk, esp on a rainy day.

What can I say? This is the first time I have ever eaten at a Maggianos and not absolutely loved it. In fact, it really wasn't very good at all. The caprese salad was way too salty and the crab cakes were blah. I have loved every other meal I have eaten at at least four Chicago area Maggiano Restaurants. Loved every meal for years and years. I have been to Skokie, Schaumburg, Oak Brook and Downtown Chicago multiple times. Loved it every time. The atmosphere here is the same, old school charm, great service and I love the Sinatra music. But the food was a definite disappointment. Not sure what happened. I'm hoping it was an isolated incident.

My family and I went here for the family style dinning...this is where I fell in love with Chicken Picatta ^_^. The atmosphere is wonderful and I loved the music. Oh and the waitstaff is attentive and ftiendly.

I hate myself for liking this place! Don't worry, it's my problem not theirs!!!! I've never been to Maggiano's but how can you not like this place. Here's why I hate myself. They have a section on the menu with their home made pastas, where if you order one they give you one to take home in a nice little neat package. I'm sorry, I couldn't resist. I know I should eat a healthy diet and abide by portion control, but I just couldn't damn it! My friend and I ordered the zucinni fritte (fried zucinni) with garlic aioli. I don't think I've ever had better fried zucinni anywhere, even Italy. I know I shouldn't be saying that but it's true. It's a big portion (like everything else here) so next time I'm just getting this. For the buy one, take one home, I had the eggplant parm, it was very good. I got the spaghetti and meatball to take home. My friend got the lasagna. He loved it. Even worse, because I had eaten so much, I just ordered two of the dessert samplers. The tiramisu and the creme brûlée. The creme brûlée was excellent, the tiramisu was good, just wish it had a little more espresso flavor. The sampler sizes are close to what a normal size dessert would be, so beware. Service was quick, friendly, professional and welcoming. I know I'm not suppose to like chains, but I like this one!

The hook here is family style, cooked to order food and when you order a pasta dish they give you 1 to go home with. We went with a party of 14 and ordered the following items:Italian Tossed Salad, Spinach Salad, Chopped Salad, Spaghetti w Meatball, Lasagna, Four Cheese Ravioli, Baked Rigatoni Pomodoro, Eggplant Parmesan, Taylor Street Baked Ziti, Chicken Parmesan, Chianti Braised Beef, Chicken Marsala, Fresh Grilled Asparagus and Fontina Potatoes. The salads were completely flat with very little ingredients. They were all very similar with lots of lettuce and dressing that came out of a bottle. Very little cheese, bacon etc. The pasta's were similar. Very little ingredients and all WAY OVERCOOKED. They cook the pasta ahead of time and then recook it in water and then in the pan. That's not cooked to order. The sauce's were edible. That's the best thing I can say about them. The "Chicken Parmesan" looked like a giant McNugget with sauce and cheese. It had been warmed up and put on a plate. The Eggplant Parmesan was similar. Chicken Marsala?? I'm not sure what that was but certainly no Marsala I've ever had. Just warmed up again. Nothing here is hot like cooked to order is. The Braised beef was incredibly salty and inedible. Grilled Asparagus was soft and overcooked. The Potatoes were swimming in cream and raw, not edible. This is not Italian food. In fact it's just reheated, pre-made "food" out of a box. It's a not cheap place but not overly expensive. If you want Italian food then look locally for an Italian Restaurant, spend a little more and have real meal. Maggiano's is just another concept place service pre-made garbage they try to pass off as cooked to order food. The service is sparse. We were literally clearing the table ourselves. Getting another drink. LOL good luck with that. This is the third one we have tried and all have been the same. We never choose them but the people who brought us all three times said how great it is. Only thing they are looking for is free pasta and coupons. Yep they send out coupons so people come in to spend some money. It sure isn'f for food or service. Don't waste your time, treat you body like a garbage can or money. This place is everything a restaurant should not be.

Bleh! My parents are/were obsessed with this place for way too long. We'd have to go here every time I visited them, usually on a weekend and we'd always have to wait at least an hour. Somehow people think this place is worth it?! The service was quick enough but I came here once with my whole family including small children and apparently people were complaining about them being too noisy and the server had the audacity to pass that on to us. WTF? This is a kid appropriate restaurant not fancy at all. Are you kidding me? The children weren't even being rowdy. Give me a break. Needless to say, we did not pipe down and the tip suffered. Anyways. The food is very unexciting, very bland and wayyyy greasy. I love greasy food. I could eat fries all day long. But I literally felt sick afterwards from the grease on my pasta dish. I got it wrapped up just to be polite and the next day there was a real nasty layer of sludge on the bottom of the container. Thank god my parents got sick of this place and have moved on.

Love Maggiano's! Wonderful food, great service, great bread! Everything my family loves at a restaurant. We had the chicken parm with spaghetti. My wife had angel hair with tomato cream sauce. They serve family style, but the waiter said that starting Aug. 2nd they are changing their menu to non-family style. We'll still be back!

Maggiano's is a loud, lively restaurant. Even with a reservation, each time I have been there we have had a long wait. I don't know if this will be a good explanation, but it reminds me of an upscale McDonald's. You can tell they are not interested in truly offering good customer service, but more so in "next customer....next.....next" The food is so so, definitely not authentic Italian, but typical chain food. Not bad, not great, somewhere in between. It's VERY loud and you will definitely have the feeling servers are hovering over your shoulder waiting for you to get up and leave. With all of its faults, for some reason I really like Maggiano's. I don't know why.....

Not very good. family style you certainly get a lot of food but it's about on par with spaghetio's. Basic chain italian restaurant.

A buddy and I grabbed a bite here last night. Everything was great. Parking is easy since it sits on the edge of Mayfair Mall's parking lot. Inside it was clean and comfortable. Service was quick and friendly. The food came steaming hot and fast. Was it the best Italian food I ever had?... no. But, it was pretty damn good. I took a dogie bag home and had enough for lunch today. All in all, two thumbs up. I will be back!

I had a $20 coupon from opentable.com which I forgot to take with me on my last Vegas trip, so I decided to use it here for lunch. I had never eaten here before but the hostess was very nice and greeted me like I was a regular (in order to use the coupon I had to make a reservation through opentable.com ). Even though I was early and they were pretty busy, I was seated right away. My waiter came by with bread and olive oil and took my drink order. I usually don't drink wine at lunch, but how could I be in a restaurant with pictures of Sinatra on the walls and not order a glass of Chianti? So I ordered a glass of the Ruffino Chianti. It was Full Bodied with Deep Cherry and Hints of Chocolate. As I looked over the menu I saw Chianti Beef on the Specials list. I figured it would be a good choice to go with my wine. Boy, was I right! It was like Pot Roast over Pasta. Nice tender pieces of beef with peas tomatoes, mushrooms, carrots and pearl onions all in a nice, rich Chianti Gravy. A really nice classic comfort food dish on a cold Milwaukee afternoon. Thanks to the coupon, my bill was only $3.50. You can't beat that! The Restaurant is wheelchair accessible, but you can't enter from Mayfair Mall, so you have to go outside if you are shopping.

Big portions of greasy generic Italian food. Ravoli's are ok... the veggie sandwich has breaded/fried zucchini which makes it all soggy and yucky. I once tried the dessert plate which was a platter of generic flavorless Italian cookies/pastries. I never knew you could make those taste bad.

I love Maggiano's. Of course, they are a little expensive, but if you stop to consider that you are getting enough food for 2 meals then it's not so bad. Even their lunch portion allows for 2 meals. When you get their bread, make sure to try it with the balsamic. I don't care for the oil, but love that. The kids and hubby love them together. I can't get past the Rigatoni 'D, while my son usually orders the salmon and my daughter orders spaghetti or ravioli. My hubby (a true Chicago Italian) can NEVER decide and has tried alot on their menu, but loves the Beef Braciole and now is stuck on that. As for the reviews about the sludge or whatever on day two...well, you must have had an alfredo or white sauce, which is mostly butter and milk so yes, it will curdle on day two. Day two may not look as nice, but it still tastes great. We have never ordered appetizers as the food portions are way to big. Dessert? We've never ordered either, but they do have some lemon cookies or another choice with the kids menu. It is usually busy there, especially during the lunch hour and after 5-5:30. We always try to get a seat there after 1 or before 4:30. The service has been up and down. We have had a couple bad servers and one male in particularly who brought us our food and headed upstairs to eat his own and return a half an hour later. It sure made it alot easier to leave a tip! Are kids allowed? Yes, but there isn't really a place for a stroller or car seat. It's not that type of establishment in my book. Very tight quarters in there as they really have almost to many tables. Which also has me questioning the wheelchairs. It would be tight and may take your wait a little longer. They do have a couple areas that I haven't been in and it also looks like they have larger meeting rooms for showers, etc. As for better Italian restaurants? I haven't been lucky enough to find another one in Milwaukee, but also haven't tried that many. If you know a great place that's authentic let me know!

This place is so pretty inside, it inspires me to redecorate with rich mahogany and overstuffed leather furniture with accents of old Italy. love it. Visited for a work Christmas lunch. The service was wonderful. The apps were wonderful. Had perfectly done calamari. My colleagues got the mozzarella marinara, which was a giant deep friend brick of cheese, covered in tomato sauce, and again covered more cheese. I ordered a shrimp marinara dish. It was awful. Maybe 5-7 pieces of shrimp were set upon about 8 lbs of pasta. It was awful. It was pasta overkill. I felt that if I dint eat the pasta it was going to eat me. For the cost of pasta, which i imagine is not an exorbitant cost, there should have been more shrimp. And even this shrimp tasted like it was previously frozen. ICK!.

We had been given a gift card for this place and decided to use it to celebrate our anniversary. There's a fun option available called "family style" dining on the first page of the menu, that, while decadent for two, is what we opted for. Basically, it's a prix fixe meal with everything from appetizers to dessert included. You get your selection of two each from each meal segment: Appetizers, Salads, Pastas, Main Courses, and Desserts. We chose the Spinach & Artichoke al Forno and the Zucchini Fritte for our appetizers... and probably should have stopped there. Each dish is delivered in over-sized proportions, and according to our server would have been refilled on request--and whatever you don't finish, they wrap up in bakable tinfoil pans complete with removable cardboard tops that have directions for reheating the items in question. At the same time, we were also given our salads, Italian Salad and Maggiano's Salad. The vegetables were amazingly fresh, and the dressing was that perfect amount that added good flavor without drowning out the delicacy of fresh salad. And the grape tomatoes that were in the Maggiano's Salad had to have come from some secret garden in the building, they were so fresh and sweet. Moving on to the main dishes, we opted for the Farfalle, Spinach, Asparagus, Broccoli in Pesto Sauce and Lasagna with meat sauce, and the Veal Parmesan and Italian Pot Roast. By this time we were reduced to small sample tastes of amazingly flavorful food. And we still had desserts coming: Creme Brulee and Tiramisu. Nothing of any of it was disappointing. And we brought home enough tinfoil-wrapped packages that we'll be eating on our anniversary meal for several days. Of course the real issue with that kind of pig-out is the lingering sense of being completely over-stuffed, so my recommendation would be to do what we did and eat dinner before any of the crowds arrive (we were seated shortly before 4pm). Or bring friends and family along. The wait staff was friendly and service was prompt, so we had to ask whether it was a chain (it is), and we're both having to revise our old contempt for chains with this experience. Even my husband's mother (who cooks old-style Italian meals regularly for the whole family) was happy to recommend Maggiano's.

I have eaten here a bunch of times and the experience is usually decent. My favorite thing that I ordered has been the chicken parmesan. A lot of other things that I have tried, spaghetti, baked ziti, and ravioli have been good but nothing special. I think Maggiano's is a little bit pricey for what you get and there's usually a long wait for a table. The food is worth trying at least once, but don't be surprised if you find it about average quality.

I already enjoyed Maggiano's in general, and this location met my expectations as well. Front of the house staff was very attentive. My server was okay (minus one sarcastic comment she made to my girlfriends mom but I'll let it slide) and did her job good/decent (minus adding two alcoholic drinks to my tab I didn't order but she corrected once notified). The food was good, piping hot as usual, moms lasagna like I like it. This restaurant is in a good location and I imagine does a ton of business. I would return.

My boyfriend, mother and I visited this location for dinner and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Location - At Mayfair Mall, this is a good location. Near major roads and Hwy 45. The only issue might be parking. There is a huge lot, but when the mall and restaurants get crowded, parking may be hard to find. Atmosphere - If you every have been to a Maggiano's you are familiar with the decor and set up. It's meant to be a place for families so a bunch of tables and larger booths. We were seated a both which would probably comfortably seat 5. Service - Lovely service. The hostess was very friendly and helpful. Our waitress was sweet and very attentive. She helped us figure put the best items to order with good details on the menu. Our food came out quickly. The food - I tried something new (Bowtie Aiglio) and it was delicious. And pre the suggestion of our waitress I order it with chicken which was moist and tender. I finished every bit. I actually just looked up the recipe and am thinking about visiting a local Maggiano's to try it again. My entire party enjoyed the food. Overall, a great experience.

We love the food from Maggiano's and therefore get take out fairly often. I won't comment on the dining in experience. Despite the delicious food, we had a few problems with take out at this particular Maggianos. Everytime something seems to go wrong. The first time, they left out the pasta that should've accompanied a chicken dish, called the restaurant, the manager kindly actually mailed us a gift certificate. The other times, I have been unable to order online even though their online site says you can order, when I push the final order button, it says it isn't working and to call, which is more of just an annoyance. However, once the online order system actually charged my credit card, but said that the order didn't go though. When I went to go pick up my food, they tried to charge me a second time. The last time we went, it happened again, missing items but I caught it before leaving. We will continue to order food, but you would think such a large restaurant chain would get it together and not mess up on carry out so much.

Visited here this past Wednesday. Not a good experience. Ordered the happy hour glass of Moscato and received a glass of pink Moscato, when I questioned the waitress she said oh yes a lot of people are confused they should really tell you it's pink Moscato on the menu. My logic is why doesn't she as a waitress just tell customers? Next we ordered an appetizer of the margarita flatbread, it arrived and was so soggy we couldn't even pick it up to eat it flatbread is supposed to be thin and crispy it also had no real flavor. Then our entrées arrived I chose the baked ziti with Italian sausage all of the Italian sausage in my entrée was burnt. Just not a pleasant experience at all waitress seemed rattled that we weren't pleased manager came over and offered to replace my appetizer after I was already having my entrée, gee, no thanks.

Ahhh, good ole Maggiano's, Food: We have been here from our very first date so it holds a nostalgic place in our heart and we are sentimental that way, however not so much that we won't be honest. Pasta anything is always good here, meatballs, sausage, chicken and the eggplant Parmesan. We love the rigatoni d, the Caesar salad is AMAZING, crisp romaine lettuce, amazing Caesar dressing and the croutons are something special. Great flavor almost bacon-ey. Broccolini with lemon and garlic is good as well as the asparagus. Faves: Stuffed Mushrooms(make sure you squeeze the lemon on them, it does make a difference in bringing all the flavors together) YUM! and the cheesecake (better than cheesecake factory if you ask us!) 2 items we DO NOT like there or recommend are: Chicken Marsala (olive gardens is better) and Beef... Every beef dish I had I did not enjoy, including steak. Deserts: We have tried EVERY desert they have to offer. Creme Brulee is Not good, (if you want really good creme brulee head to Flemings in brookfield) Lemon cookies are just okay, nothing special. The Zuccotto chocolate cake is amazing, really rich but good. Our absolute fave is the cheesecake with seasonal berries(usually strawberry or blueberry). Everything else is just okay. As far as service goes.... We have had some really really bad servers who barely come back to check on drinks or water or even if our meal is ok, we have also had just plain rude people. Most of the time we ask for a specific server because we go so often we got to know who is good and on top of their game. All that being said, we have made complaints and the manager is always more than willing to apologize and correct the situation the best they can. Food is so good you can't keep us away but sometimes we take a break. In our experience we find it's better to go when they aren't too busy.

I was really surprised with everything. Service was cheery & on top of it, but were did go on a Thursday around 4:30. The salad was crisp & huge. Only wish it had more chicken. I also always get the dressing on the side. So it never over dressed and loses crispness. The Roasted Peach Bruschetta was a special feature. Would highly recommend if on the menu. Came together well with the arugula & gorgonzola cheese(remaking at home).

I will have to agree with Brian M. on this one: Maggiano's USED to be the popular kid on the block around 2009/2010. The "golden age" of this place provided better service and this "aura" of fine-dining at an affordable price. It used to provide the limited but appropriate range of "anything-but Olive Garden" style food... Italian with a tasty twist. But it kind of stayed there and didn't keep going. These types of restaurants need to continue to perform. I will attest to their catering service or reception for events- their appetizers (or antipasto) are way better than their entrees. As far as service goes, Maggiano's is usually pretty good. They always seem to refill your drink when you have barely taken a sip of it...blink once and WAM! New drink on the table. Servers always walk around with a smile and are fairly receptive for your needs. The other day, though, I was absolutely freezing in there. If I wasn't wearing just a t-shirt, I would have given it to my better half.

Reminded me of an overpriced Olive Garden. The booths are so close together you are practically sitting in your neighbors lap. We went for a nice dinner date and couldn't ever hear each other due to the loud table next to us. The food was bland.

If you want actual fresh Italian food, go to Maggiano's, and skip Olive Garden. The fresh bread and olive oil on the table are wonderful contributions to what will be an amazing meal. My boyfriend loved his Marsala Chicken and I was head over heels with the Clam linguine with the white wine sauce. The wine was fresh, I did not think that I was drinking something that had been sitting in the fridge for three days already. We did not have the dessert tray, but just from the looks on peoples' faces, we could tell that we would be back for it the next time. The service was amazing. For people who love it so much and want to have it the next day, there is a special where you can take the same pasta that you just had for dinner home so you could have it for lunch the next day. The selections of pasta for this special are excellent too.

For a restaurant chain, Maggiano's is very good! Very consistent with their entrees; they give you a lot of food and I've never found the pasta dishes to be anything but fresh and delicious! Love their Tiramisu and their coffee! The dining area always look clean and inviting. The banquet facilities look beautiful and have ample room for a decent size reception, compared to many other restaurants. Love the wall portraits and other decor-very classy in a casual way. The wait to be seated is pretty quick generally speaking, and the waiters are prompt with serving the food. I'll take a dinner at Maggiano's over most other chain Italian restaurants any day!

I came here for lunch with a friend and it was a good experience. The service stood out for me this time; she was really friendly and just the right amount of attentive. They seem to be really wanting to make improvements because she encouraged us to fill out a feedback survey. As for the food, it was alright. They have a tasty butternut squash ravioli. It was kind of too sweet but it's topped with sundried tomatoes and that helps. This dish is not vegetarian, by the way. I found this out because I asked about getting a salad with no meat (seriously, almost every salad has meat on it!). The server asked if we were vegetarian and told us they could make a minor change to the ravioli to make it chicken-stock free. I was happy she said something because I would have had no clue otherwise. The menu does not specify. The salad was good but overdressed. The last time I came, they a really delicious mushroom ravioli, but it wasn't on the menu this time. I wish they would bring it back.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR! Yes, it was that annual day of the year Wednesday and she had a taste for her favorite Linguine & Red Clam Sauce. Having to go to Mayfair anyway, I signed up for Maggiano's E-Club the day before which includes a $10 off $30 coupon. We had never been here before and after Sunday spending time with Joe Bartollotta (go to: jeffery m.-yelp Milwaukee) and dining at Ristorante Bartollotta, it would give me a possible comparison. My first impression was not very good. At lunch time we were led into a 2/3 full dining room that had tables on top of tables, just inches apart from each other. Worse yet, diners' chairs were sticking out on the carpeted walkway. Seated, we could hear almost every word at the table of four next to us and the table of two next to them. This was not my expectation of "fine" dining. Then came our server Danielle and despite the loud noise and tight fit, with me also partially blocking the walkway, I thought we had just been reunited with a distant cousin. Danielle was spectacular in knowledge of the menu, seeing to our every need and overhearing that it was my wife's birthday, surprised her with a complementary dessert. She even asked about any food allergies and with me being allergic to cheese, she called her manager Lena who offered to have the chef tell me what I could eat off the menu. Maggiano's has what is called a "scratch kitchen" making every order individually, however almost everything has cheese in it. My wife's Linguine came with 10 clams ($14.95) in a large covered bowl. It was as good as she remembered "Little Italy's" being in New York City. Unfortunately both the Chicken and Veal Marsala's had cheese in them, so I chose the Peppercorn-Crusted Sirloin ($14.95) medium-well with whole green beans instead of the cheesed garlic mashed potatoes. Sadly a thin medium piece of meat arrived looking almost like two combined White Castle burgers, only the sauce added color and taste to the presentation. What will our memories be of Maggiano's? Danielle, Danielle, Danielle!

My family and I went for dinner, Food was ok. Server came to give us our bill and my husband gave him our credit card. It was busy in the restaurant (when isn't it) and the waiter took our card. He came back 10 minutes later and put the check on the table for my husband to sign. The credit card was not there. Just the check. We called him over and he had a total lack of concern for the situation. Time is passing and our credit card is laying on the floor in the restaurant somewhere, during the holiday season. My husband, daughter and myself were under the table thinking maybe it fell out while the waiter was filling other peoples water glasses and taking orders. After 20 min or so he came back and told us that he put it in the leather case with the check and it was basically our problem. That was his attitude. My husband asked to see the manager. The waiter then came back 10 minutes later with our credit card in hand. Someone had turned it in to the manager because it fell out of the holder. Total lack of concern. On our way out my husband went to speak to the manager who was behind the bar. Instead of stopping what he wad doing and showing concern for the situation, he listened to my husband while pouring his drinks for other patrons. Unfortunately for them we will never dine there again. If you do dine there, pay in cash so there isn't a chance you experience what we did.

This place is basically an Olive Garden that moonlights as a fine dining restaurant. I ordered the chicken picatta and it was lousy on so many levels. The chicken had that overly processed feel to it, the sauce had a film on top of it and it was broken by the time it got to me. Only giving it two stars because the bite of my friends pasta dish was ok.

I went there at 3 o'clock with a party of 6, it was pretty dead at the time. When we showed up the hostess rolled her eyes when she was told we have a party of six. We were seated fairly quickly, but the table was crammed directly in the center of the floor and aisle. My little brother (who is 6ft tall, not overweight) could not even get to his seat without asking the person in the table next to us to suck it in and move their seat. I went to ask the manager if there was another arrangement available being that half of the restaurant had no one in it. He told me these are the only tables they have for a party of 6. When I asked if we could just push two 4 tops together, he told me he would only do that if we had a party of 8. At this point the table next to us felt so bad about the manager's lack of willingness to accommodate that they offered to move their table making themselves more uncomfortable. We attempted to sit, but after having my seat nudged every time a waiter or guest walked down the aisle we decided to leave. I felt very bad because the wait staff was doing a great job. I was very disappointed because i've had such a great experience at Maggiano's in the past. It is very clear that the management at this particular Maggianao's is trying to squeeze as much profit as they can out of the floorspace at the expense of the guests' comfort.

Ok, I actually LIKE Maggianos. There, I said it. Yes, it's a chain but for all that it's pretty darn good. The meat sauce has a little kick, the pastas are tasty and they do an above average bolognese. We've had very good service when eating in, almost without exception. The real reason to not hate Maggianos is take out. A regular entree feeds like 2-3 people so you can feed a crowd for a fairly reasonable price. Service in the take out area is, sadly, not good. They are slow and tend to be chatting with fellow employees versus getting food out the door. I do a lot of business event hosting and really, pretty much everyone will eat here happily. So Maggianos has me covered on that front too.

My wife and I got out for a date night and wanted to try somthing new. This place was highly recommended to us. So we thought we would take the drive out to Mayfair. We went in off peak hours so there was plenty of seating and we were sat right away. Our server was exelent and asked if we had been been there before. After we had said it was our first time she explained everything from the drink specials to the fresh bread. We ordered our drinks and she carded us, I'm happy I don't look over 40 yet, after she viewed my wife's ID she mentioned to my wife wow it looks like you lost some weight after that photo was taken. Man th as t made my wife happy! And me it's nice for somone else to say somthing so it's not "he's just saying that to be nice" when it comes out of my mouth. Our drinks were awesome. Mine was the Sicilian, and my wife had a long island. Of coarse we tried each others drinks and I have to say it's been a real long time since I've tasted a long island that dangerously perfect. My Sicilian was really good too. I kind of wish I knew it was a pink drink though to save myself some harassment from my wife. As we were enjoin our drinks the staff brought out some complimentary fried zucchini for an appetizer. It was so good I almost forgot to snap a picture before it was gone. Our meals came out with perfect timing and we're simply delicious. We had an awesome experience and we can't wait to get away for the next date night and head here.

For a chain, Maggiano's is pretty top notch. On my most recent visit, I attended a catered brunch in a private room. The food was absolutely fantastic, I had no idea Maggiano's served brunch. The apple fritter was by far the most favorite food item at the event. The service during the event was wonderful. The servers were very attentive and at the same time respectful of the event. I've been to this Maggiano's previously and have always had good service and good food. They do offer Gluten Free options. I'd recommend this spot for anyone who is looking for Italian food and is the Mayfair area. It's a nice change from the hustle and bustle of PF Chang's or the mall food court.

We normally order either an entrée size Maggiano's salad or a chop salad for takeout. The salad itself is $16. We normally add chicken, until today. I was informed by the takeout staff that the chef told him they normally cut up only 4 ozs. of chicken to add to the salad. For those of you paying attention to the math, that is $0.75 per ounce of chicken. I do like the food but not enough to return at that (lack of) value. This is another chain that has gotten too big and focused on money instead of serving the customer and providing the customer with a good value, regardless of whether they are dining in or taking out. Our past experience with takeout has included brown lettuce, messed up orders, etc. We have complained and Maggiano's has been decent enough in the past to keep us as customers. No more.

We enjoy the ambiance of this location and come here about once a year. It is "dressed," decoratively like an upscale dining location, which it really isn't, and it is a pleasant respite from the more crowded and noisy locations in the Mayfair Mall area, like PF Changs or Cheesecake Factory. Food wise, it's hit or miss for us. Tonight, Cheryl had the Chopped salad as a starter and Eggplant Parmagiana. It was AOK. I had a starter Caesar salad and the Veal Piccata. The Caesar salad was pretty bad. The Romaine was wilted to the point where leaf tips were brown and some body of the leaves were equally brown. Not sure how that got by their QC person in the kitchen and our server, but after my server saw me picking at it, he offered to get me a new one, which I declined, and then subsequently took it off the bill. Veal Piccata: The veal was tender and cooked just right. The sauce, however, was thickened either with agar or maybe a cornstarch. Not sure why they do that. Ugh. Piccata should just be a simple mix of lemon juice and some sort of stock. Maybe they make it up ahead of time and add an additive to keep it fresh? I don't know, but I didn't like it. Cocktails are priced accordingly to the ambiance, however, the pour could be a bit more for the price. When I asked for a "Twist" in my Dewar's Rocks, our server asked me, "A Lemon or a Lime?" Hmmm. Although a professional server, he obviously has not been fully trained in alcohol service. Regarding our server, we were nevertheless very happy with "Joe" because he was efficient, informative and helpful. He also had a good command presence when interacting with us; an asset to this restaurant, though he could use a "heads up" or a bit of training regarding alcohol service.

Never had a bad experience. I love the romantic dim lighting and setup in general. There is a separate room for the bar and can accomodate large groups in the dining area. Ive been here probably 5x and almost always get the baked sausage ziti. Very comparable to more expensive Italian venues in the Milwaukee area.

My husband and I went here for a date night on a Wednesday evening, and it was absolutely beautiful and amazing (including the lovely interior!)! We had the appetizer for the mozzarella, and it was so delicious -- it was far above and beyond any mozzarella sticks I had ever had in the past! We also had pasta classics, which were delicious and quite filling about half way through. And their chocolate zuccotto dessert was amazing and quite large -- definitely your money's worth. In and out, it was just under two hours. Wonderful, professional service. Such an entrancing and elegant place to go to to escape from the surrounding city life for a short time, even though it's in the mall. Five stars.

Service was horrible. Workers were not friendly. Waitress was talking in plain site with two other coworkers when she needed to clear the table. We had dirty dishes still there when our main dishes came, so there was no room to place the food on the table . Soup was served cold. We continually asked for bread and waitress had forgot 3 times. The male hostess was very rude and even rolled his eyes after kindly asking to switch to a booth table. Not a pleasant start at all. And when leaving the same male hostess turned his back and did not greet us out.

Went there the day before Thanksgiving. Although the place was not crowded the tables are so close together you can't move. The take one home specials are mediocre. We asked to have ours removed from the check. They changed the lemon cookies. They look like undone dough and taste the same with a little pit if lemon. They use to be my favorite now I will never buy them again. The flavored lemon aid and teas were bitter or bland. Sugar could not save it. On a bright spot. The crab cakes were amazing. I would compare this place to red lobster nothing special.

I should have followed my own chain advice. Maggiano's Little Italy is attached to Mayfair Mall and there are locations in twenty-two states. SET: My wife and I were using some holiday gift cards and were hungry on a Sunday afternoon. The food court and Panera offerings didn't sound appealing so we decided to try Maggiano's for the first time ever. FIRST IMPRESSIONS: The space has really tall ceilings and was unexpected being attached to a suburban mall. We were seated at the perimeter step-up shared booth situation. It was like boarding coach of an airline. It was tight and the tables are too close to one another so that you hear clearly neighboring diners' conversations. OUR WAITRESS: Was a little over eager (more about this later) and followed a script full of adjectives and verbs. ORDERED: We chose the Chef KB's Lobster Carbonara (Spaghetti, lobster, smoked bacon, snap peas and garlic cream sauce) $22.95, Smoked Brisket Cannelloni (Brisket that's been slow-cooked for hours over natural hard wood, fontina & grana padana cheese and carmalized onion...and it's topped with Roasted Butternut Squash and Swiss Chard with a spicy Diavolo Sauce) $18.95, Coffee $2.95 TASTED: Each table receives a complimentary bread basket. It was nice dipped in the table olive oil and shaky parmesan. I asked our waitress if it was "sourdough" and she didn't know. Not sure if this makes me the dumbass or her but it was good bread. My wife chose the Lobster Carbonara and it's a HUGE portion, insert lame Midwest cliche here, but this isn't a dish that would warm up well so we know we had to eat it or leave it. Generous lobster portions, fresh tasting snap peas, bits of bacon, perfectly cooked pasta, a sauce that coated but didn't overwhelm. This was a nice dish. My Smoked Brisket Cannelloni, with the Maggiano's website description above, was our favorite of the two entrees. Reminded me of Mexican cuisine's enchiladas. Smoky tender meat on the inside with a sauce that wasn't as spicy as the description. Topped with butternut squash and (not enough) Swiss Chard. This was a nice dish as well. POST POSITIVES: The chain food was surprisingly good. I agree with other Yelpers that it's a "fancy" Olive Garden. The dishes weren't super salt loaded like most chain food. The cocktail list looked interesting with unique bitters flavors and a Negroni. Really, it's a chain but a chain that has a negroni gets props. I thought the "take one home" deal was hokey at first. If I'm hungry now I'm not thinking about what I'll be hungry for later. They bring the smaller portion in a microwaveable plastic container in a branded paper bag. I had lasagna for dinner later that evening. It was good lasagna. (I'm probably losing Yelp fans after this review! ha!) POST NEGATIVES: Our over eager waitress gave us the big sell at first and then ignored us. Our water glasses remained empty. My $3 coffee didn't get a refill. This is despite her having to walk right behind us to access the wait staff drink station. There were multiple managers roaming armed with the "Best Buy" head set walkie talkies and nobody bothered to see our drinks. Our waitress was super duper nice when it came time to tip on the bill. This wasn't my first rodeo. Nice try. Survey at bottom of receipt - seems most chains do this now. RETURN RATIO: 2/10 - would sit at the bar, order a cocktail and split an entree ** Un-chain and Support Local Businesses **

Ok, so the first time my boyfriend suggested this place, I was very prejudice when he said it was connected to the mall. The mall?! Well I stand corrected because this place is divine. For starters, ordering one their house pastas and getting a second to take home?! What sorcery is this?! Well whatever it is I'll take it! 2 pastas for the price of 1?! And they do not skimp on quality for the price. Seriously, everything I've ordered here I've been a huge fan of. If you're not into pastas, I would not recommend coming here as this is mainly their menu, but they have such a wide variety of what's included in their pastas, I just might tell you pastas-haters to give it a try (eggplant was superb!). Ambiance and interior are very elegant, seeing it's located almost in the mall, and while a couple trips have been a little soured due to the smaller paster eaters having major meltdowns, it's not the end of the world. They turn down the lights for dinner, and I'm such a lover of the intimate feeling that it enhances when my boy and I are on a date. Service has always been elite, I give you 5 stars all around, Maggiano's. :)

My friend and I ordered the country pasta from there and the chef was specially asked to make it vegetarian as he had come down himself to give us more information on the food. We get our pasta which wasn't appealing at all. Tasted even worse. It was so watery and bland and it felt like as if they had just put steamed spinach and bald broccoli on top without saute. We got dessert which was on the house, even that wasn't up to the mark. The only one star they do get is for service. Other wise I would have given them a 0. Never go there.

Maggiano's used to be a favorite, but things....they are a changing. First complaint is the lack of coordination between the host station and waitstaff. We were told the booths in the bar were first come, first serve by a waiter. But, we were royally chewed out by a hostess for grabbing an open one. Second, when we were finally seated it was at a table under a speaker...we couldn't hear eachother or the waitress. Drinks, which were ordered when our waitress greeted us finally arrived just prior to our dinners. I literally had one sip and my meal was served. Obviously another disconnect. The meal was good - hats off to the kitchen staff....they seem to be the only thing consistent. The two stars are for the food quality, but that isn't the only reason folks eat out. Need to get the management back on track - it's a very large restaurant and will not operate well without good training of all staff.

I always heard nothing but good things and friend of mine raved about it. The first time I went to Maggiano's our experience was less than pleasing. The wait was long for our food, waiter didn't seem to care about our table and the service overall was terrible. The manager later came by and offered some incentives to return and took care of our bill - that is how bad it was. Fast forward to more recent experience. We returned since we had a gift card from the last experience. Service was awesome! Finally what I heard about. The food was fantastic and to make things even better, we received extra meals on the house because the table next to us cook not take theirs. (See if you buy the house pasta dishes, you get one to take home) We left with our left overs, our second pasta dishes and the other table's second dishes - WOW . Our freezer is not stocked :) The waitress didn't have to offer that at all so I thought that was very nice of her. I would like to think that our first experience was a fluke and therefore based my review on the second experience. I say definitely give Maggiano's a try, especially if you like Italian food. I am not a huge fan of Italian but really liked what I ordered because it was light and had a great flavor. I believe it was called Pasta Aglio which had broccoli rabe, spinach, sun dried tomatoes, bow tie pasta and an garlic olive oil. YUM! If you are new to Maggiano's I also recommend the 2 for $40 meal deal. You will get an appetizer, two entrees and a dessert ( the cheesecake is delicious and HUGE)

Italian food by a chain. It's what you expect I guess but I'm never a fan of this place. Everything is "decent " and that's all. I'd almost think for the price the food should be above average. All in all the service was great and food was average.

Every Maggianos I have been to has been excellent. Quality food and a nice drink menu and great happy hour. Try their Moscato Mojito drink!

Pretty weak..A server takes your order, puts it i the computer and somebody else brings the food. The problem is that nobody is really taking carw of the customers,..just doing their exact little function. No ,ind that there's no silverware on the table when the delivery guy comes..it's not his problem to bring the silverware. This place would be better off to serve from a pickup window...

I'm fairly picky with Italian, and this place was certainly mediocre. The prices were way out of whack with what they were serving, and I guess if you like Olive Garden you'll like this place. Try to avoid it if you can unless you have no other choice.

Ok, it's not real Italian food and quantity over quality does not impress me, but some days you just want easy and their chopped salad is just that. Affordable if you split it. One gripe is that the place is always cold. They make the wait staff wear such hot uniforms, so if you go in the summer in a tshirt you will freeze.

It was a crowded Friday evening here, as i came on 05/03/13. The Wisconsin Marathon & half marathon in Kenosha was the next morning, so I don't know whether or not, a majority of the patrons here were running either distance or just enjoying a nice night out. In any case, Maggiano's was a quaint Italian restaurant that makes everything from scratch with their own special sauces - as told by the server that waited on us that night. I guess we got lucky since we just had to wait just 5-10 minutes for a table at 7pm. Located within the mall complex, it was easy to get around and the parking was excellent. Plenty of parking here, so you'll be good to go. Maggiano's feels like an old school Italian restaurant. With dimly lit ambiance, this place can be really anything you want it to be. From an intimate date for 2 to hanging out with friends, to a girls night out. The decor here was nice and they try to be upscale, but it wasn't really. Still the feeling of being here was a thrill. 3 of my marathoner friends and I were here to load up on delicious carbs for our marathons the next day. The main dining room was already full of chatter and people that night. Guess this place is really popular, since it was nearly packed to capacity when I was there. We got a nice booth and our server explained everything was made from scratch and that I knew that was authentically Italian. Since 2 of my marathoner friends lived Nearby in Wauwatosa, they knew this place was awesome and I inclined to agree. The service I would say was above average, although that night, we had some issues, but they had corrected it during the course of the night. The menu wasn't as extensive as I thought it would be. Not much of fine dining, but it was more upscale than Olive Garden. To be sure, I had my fill of liquor that night, along with a lasagna that was decently good. My friend ordered the buy now, take home meal deal for $12.95 and that was pretty good price. The entrees that were listed separately were closer or over $20 per and I could not really justify spending that much on Italian food, but that's just me. The overall experience was good. As for the issue aforementioned before, the servers inadvertently mixed up the orders and gave out our to go order to another table, leaving us with the wrong one. They eventually solved the mix up and we ended up with 2 extra dinners! Thought that was pretty cool, but yep, it was their mistake though. Overall, I would give this place another try on another night, if my travels were to come through here once more. Love the Italian, but would consider making my own if it gets pricey - even for pasta! Support local! B

Took my girlfriend here last weekend. Food was nothing special although reasonably priced. Presentation was poor. Our server acted nice as others have said but service was really strange. At the beginning she offered us a sample of a appetizer but we never saw it. Our drinks came during the entree. And the rest of the food seemed to come at uneven times. They probably don't have enough servers. In our opinion Olive Garden is way better.

I was really impressed with my recent visit to Maggiano's in Mayfair. I went around 5:00, beat the rush and was seated right away. I ordered a cocktail and bread was served immediately. Our server was knowledgeable and attentive, without being invasive and annoying. We ordered Marco's special, which was $40.00 for two people - THIS WAS AN INSANELY GOOD DEAL. Included, you get one appetizer (or two salads), two pasta entrees, a desert, AND TWO MORE ENTREES PACKAGED TO GO! It was awesome! I got eggplant parm for there, which was awesome with angel hair pasta and whole roasted garlic cloves - and 4 cheese ravioli to go, which was a pesto/marinara/alfredo sauce. Due to my mushroom allergy, I needed to be careful. The chef came out to my table, during a dinner rush I may add, and explained my best options and what he could whip up for me in his from-scratch kitchen. The extra gesture was greatly appreciated. I am very excited to return here and try other items.

Great service, the good was a bit unimpressive. The venue is absolutely gorgeous just like a old school Italian place.

Five stars... Holy good eats Batman. As you may know, I rarely give out five stars and you pretty much have to be perfect to get this ranking. Well, let me introduce you to the newest member of the five star club. I ate here with my wife and my parents and it just might have been the best Maggiano's experience (excluding my rehearsal dinner) that I have ever had. The food was excellent and the server was outstanding. I didn't find anything to complain about and even our water glasses were filled when they weren't even completely empty. We are Family Style and the server spaced out the courses perfectly. The mushroom ravioli and the tiramisu are still my favorite two items although I didn't bring home any ravioli, I did bring home three (yes, that is correct), three boxes of tiramisu. I could go on and on about how friendly the staff was, how they kept bringing the food in a timely manner, etc. but why waste your valuable time. Just try it out for yourself. You won't be disappointed.

I was attending a luncheon for the Wisconsin Risk Management group here at Maggiano's. This was my first time here. I'm impressed folks, back in Madison I have Biaggi's and Olive Garden. Magianno's blows them out of the water. The group I was with had the banquet room in back, their was about 45 of us and it was very spacious. The servers were on top of everything, before I could say refill they had a new beverage for me. They presented the food well. I had the Parmesan Chicken with ravioli and mushrooms, for the appetizers we had bruschetta, spinach artichoke dip. And for dessert we had Tiramisu and NY style cheesecake. Overall greats service, great food, and a great banquet present by Quarles & Brady. I told my fiancee next time we're in Milwaukee we're stopping here.

Been wanting to try this place for quite a while, Finally had the chance when a friend picked this location for her birthday dinner. Upon walking in i couldn't get over how big the place is, Sure doesn't look that big from the outside. it has a nice style that you would expect in an Italian restaurant. Service seemed to be pretty good, my server though talked very quietly which was a bummer as like i said the place is big so there is alot of noise from other tables. The free bread they have is pretty good and a nice touch. I ordered the Shrimp Scampi which was pretty good though maybe a bit heavy on the garlic side of things, The other thing i noticed was the shrimp to pasta balance was very heavy on the shrimp side which is nice, but with as many shrimp as they gave it would be nice to have some extra pasta. I noticed the pasta that wasn't swimming in the garlic butter sauce was kind of hard which isn't that enjoyable. My fiance ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo and that was decent, she also received the buy one take one offer and order spaghetti and meatballs, i'll see how that is after sitting in the fridge for a day or two. Overall the price for the food is DECENT at best. the fact that they don't include a salad is a bit interesting as most places like this do include a side salad. Ok, so I'm not a big review person. Many of the regular people here try to be funny and cutesy and that's just not me. This was my 11th time at Maggianos so I feel I am now qualified. Unlike the people that go there once and trash a place because the waitress didn't fill up their water glass for the 3rd time. :/ When 4 people can get out if there for $80 dollars with drinks you would think it's not good. It's not only delicious, the service is exceptional (the A team) the sauce is almost as good as my Italian Nona!! I have never had a bad meal there, and I am no relation to anyone affiliated like most reviewers. You don't have to dress up and even if you eat your entire dinner, they will give you another full dinner to take home!! Free!! I love this place, and it will continue to be my birthday go to place.

Maggiano's is one of our favorite Italian restaurants. The food is good, the atmosphere enchanting, and wait staff attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. When, for the first time last night, we were actually dismayed with one of our very expensive entrees, Cameron, the manager, immediately came to our table to find out why we were dissatisfied. Without any hesitation on his part, he immediately took care of the problem with a very warm, genuine smile. Cameron was professional and courteous. Maggiano's should be proud to have him in their employ.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
