I come here all the time since its within walking distance of WLC. I come here to get away from school when I really need to concentrate on studying. Overall, this place is pretty darn good. I love their tea, you can get a large tea for the price of a medium, and they are usually cool with refilling my drink (I mean, its essentially hot water I paid 1.50 for). Their bagels are good, personally I prefer Einstein's. But this place, unlike its competition, is open later. The hours aren't the most fair, but it usually closes around 7pm (which is great for a bagel place). The reasons I give it one less than five stars is because their bagels are a bit costly, and their service can be pretty bad sometimes. Their bagels cost about 2.50, which for something as insignificant as a bagel, thats a lot. As a poor college student, I usually can't afford a bagel. If they were to drop the price by about 50 cents - 1 dollar, I might consider getting one. But they have free wifi, and the music is not too loud. It beats the living crap out of Starbucks because they offer more than just fancy-smancy drinks. Plus stone-creek is adjoining if you don't like bruggers coffee, you can get a cup of stone creek coffee. (I like the tea at bruggers though, I mean pomegranate acai is pretty freaking good combination) Great place to get your homework done; I have written plenty of ENG101 papers here! :) So overall Pros: Free wifi Nice ambiance Good location. Good food. Cons: Expensive! Inconsistent staff.

I love the bagels here, and the breakfast sandwiches are very good. But like a lot of the reviews here, my problem is with the staff. They always seem to be understaffed and inefficient. To their credit, they are working their butts off, but you can see the stress in their faces while two of them wait on a line of 12 or more customers at times. They will make your sandwich, put it in the toaster oven, then wait on another customer, get around to retrieving your sandwich, take their gloves off, go to the register and ring you up. The work flow is very inefficient. Great product, Good people, Bad process.

Bagels are bagels really. The customer service here is pretty bad, they really don't try to make you feel important or welcome. The coffee shop next door could teach them a thing or two.

I enjoy the bagels but the customer service is terrible! The dinning area needs to cleaned!! I came in today and the bald "manager" was on his cell phone behind the counter! The napkin dispenser was empty, the tables needed to be wiped and I'm sure there is a ton of other things he could have been doing instead of being on his cell phone! I feel that it was very unprofessional to be on his phone while at work! The bagels are great if you have time to wait! This "manager" is setting a bad example for his employees!!

Ordered a large order for work. Couple of people ordered salads. The lettuce was brown and wilted and out and out slimy and rotting at the bottom of others. Gross. Won't be ordering from there again.

Over the past few months I have seen this store shape up immensely. I love eating here all the time

There are not many bagel places to choose from on the Westside of town, so Brueggers is our best alternative when we get a bagel craving. They do a good all-seed (or everything) bagels and a pretty good asiago cheese bagel, the two bagels we favor. They also make pretty good sandwiches. I happen to like their lox (smoked salmon) bagel sandwich: open-faced lox and cream cheese sandwich with capers, tomato and red onion. It's about $7.00. Coffee? This is where they lose us. Coffee here is poor. I've never had a good tasting cup of coffee at this location, but we keep trying. Today, one of us had decaf and the other French roast. Both of us tasted our coffees and didn't touch them after the first sip. (Thus, what would be a four star rating if the coffee was just OK, is taken down to an overall three star rating). But never fear; they have an assortment of beverages/juices to choose from and there is a Stone Creek coffee shop right next door.

I've been to this particular Bruegger's several times and I always seem to leave disappointed with something or another. I do enjoy their sandwiches but I feel they are hit or miss. If you get a particularly good "sandwich artist" (sorry Subway) they make your bagel sandwich correctly with just the right amount of ingredients / cream cheese. However, there have been other times I've ordered a simple Herby Turkey sandwich, or the egg and tomato basil breakfast sandwich, only to find the cream cheese CAKED on. The last time they must have put a quarter of an inch on my bagel - I wound up tossing some of it away because it was just too much. The last time I was in, there was a newer kid working the counter and he was getting his ass handed to him by (who I assume) to be the manager. Fine.... I understand if you have to correct employees sometimes, but shouldn't they just do that when 1. customers aren't around, and 2. in a way that doesn't sound like you're ripping the new employee a new one? It left a bad taste in my mouth. I was a little embarrassed for the new kid and I felt bad that he was getting yelled at over such a trivial thing. Especially since she was yelling at him in front of several customers. I agree with Aubrey - skip getting the coffee at Bruegger's (I won't make the mistake of ordering it there again) and go next door to Stone Creek. The last few times I've had coffee grounds in my coffee. Gross. I can't say as though I've ever had a good cup of coffee here, which is why there's a Stone Creek next door.

I always enjoy the food here. The issue is they are almost always understaffed during busy hours. I know employees call in, but management doesn't seem to rid of the no shows or call in some back up. Then the employees who have showed up are overworked and put up with big orders and long lines all at once.

On a bad day Bruegger's can be OK. When the stars align and all is well, Bruegger's can be a bagel wet dream. My problem with this location is that it is not very consistent in quality or service. Sometimes they have one person and it can go quickly or take forever. Sometimes they have an entire bagel-maker heard and can still be a cluster f#ck. And most of them don't even cut the bagels sandwiches in half. They don't even offer. It's just strange to me. My friend and I came here 3 days in a row. Saturday we wanted to get our lunch bagels on. It was around 3pm and we snagged the last rosemary olive oils and some of the last everything bagels. For a place that is open until 8pm, I was surprised they were running low. The cream cheese was standard and great. The tomatoes were quality; however, the bagels were not so flavorful and a bit hard. The second day was breakfast time. I went for the breakfast bagel with egg, cheese and bacon. The bacon was meh, the eggs were flavorless and the cheese was just there. Again the bagel was hard and lacked sufficient 'everything-ness'. So day three comes along and DING, DING, DING! We have a winner! It was pretty close to being perfect. The bagels had recently come from being baked. They were more flavorful and the best part was that they were hot and chewy. Sadly, everything seems to fall off of the everything bagel here. But I was just stoked that I could actually bite into my bagel and not have to gum it into submission first.

A longtime favorite of mine, good value, honey walnut cream cheese is the bomb.

Their breakfast sandwiches are pretty good, and their regular coffee is pretty good (though served hot enough to scald).

I just went to this branch for the first time today, and really enjoyed their Leonardo da Veggie sandwich and broccoli cheese potato chowder. Service was quick, and the place seemed clean--even though we entered between a bunch of dumpsters (i.e. on the back side of the building). So, yeah, a chain... but handy right after a doctor's appointment, and a good option if you're in a rush.

I know it's a chain, but it's a very convenient on-the-way-to-work spot for me to stop for either a hot Stone Creek Latte or tasty egg and bacon on a warm honey wheat bagel. I've found the service to be relatively consistent and quick over the years I have stopped here and usually the line is short enough in the morning to grab a quick bite before work. It's also nice to see a smaller chain shop linked to a local one, and although the interior is small, there is a cozy, local vibe to the place.

Very welcoming with music and everything. There is a very wide selection of bagels for a cheap price. The coffee and beverages are overpriced. The worker handled money then my bagel. The bagel was also very under toasted and soaked with butter. The tables are always messy and their seats are uncomfortable. The restrooms are smelly and poor taken care of. There is only one restroom that is always occupied and running out of supplies. The employees tell me a different price for the same thing every time I am there. Overall, their bagels are delicious but there is a lot the restaurant can do to improve. There is also a strange lady who smokes and memorizes our order. She always convinces us to get water so we don't have to come back. Stone Creek is next door and is so much better with lower prices. They both have hot chocolate and coffee but Stone Creek is less expensive.

On my way back from my appointment, I stopped to pick up a quick lunch before heading back to work. The place was pretty empty, but it took quite some time for my sandwich to be made. I didn't realize my sandwich didn't come on a bagel...sad day. Anyway, my sandwich needed two minutes in the microwave before a couple minutes on the panini press. Not sure why it needs to be nuked to within an inch of its life, but ok. It was the Turkey Artichoke, but there wasn't much of the artichoke pesto on the sandwich...so it was really just a toasted turkey sandwich. However, what bothered me a bit more than a nuked sammy was the service. There were three people behind the counter and one of them seemed to be barking orders at the other two while meandering back and forth. At one point she was helping a lady at the register and one of her friends went by and she just stopped what she was doing to talk to him. Just little things like that don't really make a good impression on customers. A bit disappointed because I really love their bagels and maybe I should stick to the bagels.

I live like a mile from Bruegger's but somehow always forget that it exists until last week. Since last week, I've been there every other day and for a girl who shouldn't eat carbs, well this could lead to be a bad thing! The staff is awesome- sometimes I feel bad for them since my order seems to take forever to make but they never seem irritated or like they are going to spit on my bagel. The trio special is way worth it- for $7 you get a bagel sandwhich, soup and a drink. It's always clean plus they have Stone Creek so it's a one stop shop for breakfast! So don't go forgetting about Bruegger's because it really is freaking good!

We stopped here to grab some breakfast before visiting the zoo nearby and found the bagel sandwich with egg, bacon and cheese to be thoroughly disappointing. The egg must be made from beaters because it was gross and watery. I ended up pulling it off my second half of the sandwich. The cracked pepper and sea salt bagel barely had any pepper or sea salt on it. Talk about false advertising. I'd never eat here again. Visited: May 18, 2012
