Gulliver's Landing is a classic mid west Friday fish fry joint. Where the cocktails are strong the beer cheep and the fish fry ... What you would expect and hope for when you enter. You would t want to eat this food every week but a few times a year, it's like going back in time. I go for the broiled so I don't break the calorie budget with my loaded baker and bread but I tasted the fried and it was wonderful. The only knock on this visit was the slowness of the service to get drinks and our food. I bet in the next visit it will be a solid 4 stars now that I'll be a regular.

This was the worst food and most deplorable selection of items as I've ever seen at a brunch. And all for the ridiculous rip you off price of $14.99. My bad for not walking out. I'll end this review with two words, POWDERED EGGS :(

We were in Mosinee for a baseball tournament and our son wanted to stay back at the hotel and hang with the guys. So my wife and I went driving around to find a nice place for the two of us, and we found one. The atmosphere was great inside and out, the bar was awesome! The waitstaff was phenomenal. Our waitress was one of the best we have ever had. I had a steak and my wife had seafood, OMG! Fantastic! We loved it so much that we told her that we will be back in Antigo in a couple of weeks for another ball tournament, and we are going to drive down just to eat there again.

I really wanted this to stack up the way I remembered it from pre-prom dinners in high school. But it just didn't happen. The servers were nice- the salad bar was ok. My husband (who is originally from DC area) is infatuated with walleye - in researching hometown restaurants while there for Thanksgiving (except the one we went to FOR Thanksgiving!) - this was the only place I could guarantee it was on the menu and was open the night before Stuffing Day. I love Nueske's meats- and order brats shipped to California, where they don't realllllly understand what makes a good one (that's a whole different post). But the pan-friend walleye we had here = major fail. Dry, overcooked - and I'm a girl with a good Friday fish fry tradition running through my DNA. It's one of the things I miss about my hometown- and unfortunately this meal didn't deliver. Maybe it's time to shift the focus to what the family really does well.

This place was horrible. Waitress forgot us, twice. Had to flag down a busboy to get anything. Fish was cold when delivered, steak was undercooked. Took 10 minutes to get anyone to take it back to the kitchen, and then it came out burnt. When we talked to the person at the front desk, they didn't apologize, but got downright defensive of their service claiming they were "very busy."

Was excited to try after learning about new owners. Got a great deal from Deal Chicken and still ended up being a waste of money. Our server, Ashley was great and friendly. The steak had good flavor and was cooked perfectly medium, however it was very tough and chewy for a tenderloin. I could prepare a better one from Townline Market myself at home. The soup and salad bar was such a letdown. The soup was cold. It was chicken noodle and reminded me of the bag stuff they sell at Subway. The salad was your typical old timey supper club salad bar. Every single thing on it tasted the same, unflavored and bagged. No light salad dressing options.

I always see the parking lot full on Sunday mornings, but I was here for the Sunday brunch buffet a couple years ago when the current owners took over, and it was not good then. I thought I'd give them another shot, because I really enjoy the unique nautical theme of this place. We visited Gulliver's for their Sunday brunch buffet. A good brunch buffet has a huge variety of foods to choose from, and on that note Gulliver's is successful. A whole table of hot foods, another with the salad bar, and a third full of desserts. There is also a carving station of prime rib (or a similar delicious cut), and an omelet station. So the selection of foods was great. Flavor and presentation are key when you go to a restaurant. Don't get the "scrambled" eggs. They aren't scrambled, but poured into the crock pot and cooked to non-perfection without seasoning, and the eggs tasted fake. The omelet tastes a little better of course, because I added cheese. The salad bar had a variety of fresh options not seen on many salad bars. Thumbs up. The dessert table looked like a sloppy pile of desserts, where patrons sloppily cut their own slices, and are not cleaned up when slop gets out of hand. The desserts tasted like all the staff were asked to bring their own box mix or frozen pastry for preparation on site. I would not expect this in a restaurant. I would happily pay $16/person for good homemade food in a restaurant - this was not it.

My boyfriend and I have lived in the area for almost a year now and still haven't gotten a chance to try this place. When we did finally decide to go for a Friday fish fry, we were not disappointed at all! It took a while to be seated, but that is expected anywhere on a Friday night, especially at a restaurant with a fish fry, but we were able to sit at the bar and have a couple drinks beforehand. We were seated for dinner in a booth by the bar, and there was live music. The musician was a really fun guy playing guitar and singing and by the time we got up to leave everyone in the bar was having a good time and singing along. The fish fry was great, I had the hand breaded haddock which was delicious and my boyfriend had the beer battered which he really enjoyed as well. The twice baked potatoes were excellent, as was the tartar sauce, rye bread, and cole slaw that came with the meal. For our appetizer we had the crab cakes which were perfectly done, and for dessert we split a slice of carrot cake, which was also wonderful. All in all, it was well worth the wait and was the most fun we have had in a long time. We will be back!

Great atmosphere for the kids; nautical setting. They have good steaks and chops as well as a neat little salad bar. Decent view of the lake in the summer. Above average service. New family from neighboring town (Antigon) owns it. They do a nice job!

The Sunday buffet was overpriced for the appalling lack of quality in the food. $63 with tip for a family of four for food that was unappetizing to even look at. The buffet station was messy and unattended. It wasn't even busy.

I agree there's a nautical setting. One might assume they serve seafood. We found this on Yelp while driving back home to Chicago on a Sunday. They were serving a buffet brunch ,which no one in the family enjoyed. Everything looked old and tired and tasted very ordinary. We asked about the regular menu and they do serve shrimp, scallops, and oysters and steak, roast chicken. All of those sounded a lot better if they were to be ordered from the menu. One of the main reasons we stopped at this place was because it looked like it overlooked the water. Even that was a disappointment. While it does technically overlook the lake, it is not a waterfront place with a deck on the water. The lake is across a road where there is a boat landing. We might return to this place if it were serving its regular menu, but we are in no hurry to do so. However to readers of this review, you might let our experience dissuade you from the Sunday brunch buffet, but if it's a different day or time, you might want to check it out.
