Over the years this has been a stop for family special occasions. We usually have a group of 15+ and have never had anything but great experiences. Yes we make reservations so there's no wait. The food is always flavorful and perfectly prepared. I highly recommend their twice baked potatoes. Nice wine selection as well. I'm really surprised at the reviews on here because we have always been very pleased with our meals here.

I don't know that Simpson's even still uses "Indian Room" in their title. I haven't noticed in years. Anyhow. Classic Wisconsin supperclub-type restaurant. Many family occasions have been celebrated here over the years. This last weekend I had dinner with a large group (about 15+) and the service was impeccable, and the prices - especially for the portions - are very reasonable. It's not a super fancy place, but it's tried and true and remains as good each time as I remember.

There were 16 of us at our table. They seated us, and had all of orders and soups and salads out in 20 minutes. The clam chowder was outstanding. The double baked bake potatoes are extravagant and to die for. Another one that the group enjoyed were the scallops. As for the kids menu, I did try a child at our tables chicken tenders, and they were outstanding. The service was good, and they were speedy.

6 stars anyone! Calling for a 6th star!. Last night my girlfriend and I went to eat at Simpson's. We are from Point and wanted to go somewhere we have never been. All of the food was amazing, and all of the tap beer, and wine were perfect!!!!!!!! Thanks Robbie and Tyler you guys rocked and made our experience TOP shelf!! Susan and Logan

Love the broiled shrimp, goes well with a classic old fashioned (get the secret recipe mushrooms for garnish).

Easily our favorite supper club in the area... we moved 40 minutes away to Appleton and still will travel back once and awhile as we haven't found a supper club in the Fox Valley as good as Simpsons. If John is bartending the drinks are amazing.. his bloody marys and old fashions are the best around! We always request Nicole as our server.. she is also amazing! We have only eaten here on Saturday nights (often!)... our favorites are their prime rib, garlic-parmesan steak, blue cheese topped steak and baked haddock. Sooo good!!

Possibly I came here on a bad day, because our food was horrible. The baked potato was so overcooked, I couldn't even eat it. The broccoli was soggy and not very tasty. The prime rib was cold, and I've had waaay better. This was an anniversary dinner, so needless to say, we were pretty diappointed that we paid a lot of money for sub-par food. Not sure if I'll try it again. At this point, I wouldn't recommend it.

Finally a winner... Almost. Growing up in Waupaca, I have been to Simpson's a time or two. It seems every time I go in to eat, I hope that I will finally get a meal that lives up to what Simpson's has always been talked up to be. I have always left disappointed. But since Simpson's is one of the few "nice" restaurants in the area, I always return. And like a child on Christmas morning who just opened a hand knitted sweater from Great Aunt Bertie, I'm disappointed, I didn't get what I wished for. That is until I ordered off the "Mother's Day Specials". The Stuffed White Fish was ...... pretty good. I know that "pretty good" is lame, and doesn't exactly make your mouth water, but the food isn't Simpson's only problem. The bar area has an old supper club feeling, decorated with a mix of the outdoors, Native American art, and random sports junk (local and pro). The outdoor seating is great for the 4th of July parade, but otherwise not that exceptional. The dinning room is confused. Not confusing, but confused. I can not tell what theme or look they are going for but a few random fake plants stapled to the wall is not exactly classy. On the other hand, there are cloth napkins, and table cloths, which are then canceled out by the paper place mats. The menu has an okay selection of fish, beef and chicken. The prices range from about $10 to $20. But, they come with a salad made mostly of iceberg lettuce and "from a box" croutons. The Service is marginal. No one seemed to enjoy their job. The bar tenders were great, but the waitresses seemed to be rushed, or too much in a hurry to smile or be sincere. Simpson's is a pillar in Waupaca, and I'm sure it will be there for many more years. Restaurants in Waupaca seem to come and go, so of you hear of something new and exciting, give it a shot, Simpson's will most likely be there for the next time you're out.

We ended up here after our first choice for lunch (Weasels) caught on fire. We didn't take any chances and decided to dine alfresco. Their outdoor area is pretty nice and it was a beautiful day in Wisconsin. We all had the Cheeseburger special. For $5.99 it was a steal, half pound of ground beef, with you choice of cheese and toppings. Mine came cooked to a perfect medium. I loved the old school, oddly-shaped bar. Simpson's seemed to be more upscale for a smaller town, but the prices were still moderate, at least for lunch.

My husband and I discovered this place on accident. We had lunch and ended up going back for dinner. We also brought my in laws for dinner when they were visiting from Chicago..we were all extremely impressed.

Don't be fooled--Simpson's doesn't in fact, serve Indian food. It does serve darn good steaks, with about nine different varieties of potatoes (mashed, twice-baked, fries, etc). It's open late.
