These gals did a great job of breathing new life into the old Nikkos Gyro stand on Hartwell. I stopped in to carry out a couple of desserts. A slice if carrot cake and a slice of apple pie. Both were great. Their menu varies by the day so call, or stop in to see what they have to offer. They had sold out of most of their items by the time I got there that day, which in my opinion is not a problem, just a sign of Good Eats!

My wife and I finally made it here a few days ago for lunch. The bacon cheeseburger soup was delicious, as was the chicken salad sandwich and lemon bar. The bacon ranch chicken wrap was good enough, but could have used more dressing. The home made cornbread was phenomenal-you could actually see thin strands of honey as you pulled it apart. The home made potato salad was also excellent- one of the best my wife had ever had. I really hope this place lasts since their location is poor to say the least. It's pretty far off the beaten path in an old Boy Blue-style building that was empty for years. The main concerns I have are the limited seating and lack of adequate A/C. We went on an 80-degree day and I was sweating throughout my meal. I did overhear someone say "the a/c just kicked in" but it was still pretty sticky. Check Facebook before you go, as their menu is always fresh and changes daily. If it can get off the ground, The Spoon will be an asset to Waukesha and is much better than other locales who have a better location and undeserved hype.

I am so happy there is a good soup place in Waukesha. I got the bacon cheeseburger soup and it was delicious! The place has a great ambience and service. I want to come back soon and try more flavors soon

Disappointed there was a big sign outside that said SOUP when I got there, the soup was actually sold out so I ordered a chicken Caesar salad. For $6 I got a salad that I probably could have got at Wendy's for $1 maybe $2. Maybe a fancy plate may have made the difference but the salad was nothing special. I was not even greeted with a Hello or a smile or a thank you. #justsaying

If you are looking for excellent soup, sandwiches and delicious desserts, you can't beat The Spoon! The soups are FANTASTIC - go early because they sometimes run out! They have different soups and sandwich offerings every day, but if you "like" their facebook page, you can get the daily menu and scope out your favorite soups. (The loaded baked potato is excellent as well as their Lasanga soup.) The dining area is a bit small, so big groups of people eating together might not work out well. I'll definitely be coming back again! Yum!

I ordered take out the other day as I'm usually not home during the week. The chicken dumpling soup was good, but only had two to three dumplings and all veggies. The potato soup was onion soup, that's all I really tasted and had no bacon and cheese flavor. The Italian beef was good, but had to be reheated at home. The star was the bread of the Italian beef as it was outstanding. Both desserts I ordered, carrot cake and pie were fantastic as well. I'd go back to try other things but wouldn't get the potato soup again.
