Dined here on a Friday evening with 3 teens and my wife. Service was horrible. Our waitress didn't check on us after the food was delivered. The food was blah. I've never had that bad of service at a Denny's. Hopefully they will train the staff better but that would require the manager to actually be inside training the staff not outside chain smoking near the front door. Will not be back to this location anytime soon.

I've been jaded about Denny's for a long time but this was a good experience. Lots of sweet tooth items. Can't go wrong with the price, it's a deal at any time of the day. Ask for Elizabeth, she's a nice waitress.

My sister, my best friend and I went to dennys for dinner and decided on this location because it was closer to what we where going to do later, but we almost always go to the one off of grandview...and tonight has set it in stone why i never go to the st. Paul dennys. Absolutely horrible service and food. We entered the building and stood at the desk. The (what i assume) manager and another empliyee were sitting in a nearby booth and got up a minute after we came in. We were seated in a booth right next to the kitchen and recieving area and waited another 5 minutes before our waitress came over and asked us what we would like. I believe her name was Adriana or Ariana, i wouldnt know because she didnt greet us or introduce herself and had a very unfriendly demeanor. My sister order the chicken avacado ceasar salad(grilled chicken)(which we love at dennys but had not ordered it at this location) and water. my friend ordered the smothered cheese fries and a bowl of the loaded baked potato soup and a soda. And i ordered the chicken avacado ceasar salad(crispy chicken) as well along with a water and an oreo milkshake to share. The waitress had to clarify multiple times about our orders(which we explained slowly and mannerly) and she asked me what type of dressing i wanted for my salad...was i not clear? I ordered the chicken avacado ceasar salad...so ceasar dressing. I said as i pointed at the item on the menu. She then walked away. As we waited for our drinks we could here a staff member clearly complain that she was already waiting on 8 tables as another trio was seated. She then after another 5 minutes went over to them and got their drink orders. We then get our drinks. Another 5 minutes goes by and the trio get fed up with lousy service and leave the restaurant right before another waitress kindly helps our waitress give them their drinks. Our waitress(adriana or something) then says clearly that "whatever. I dont care if they f$&*ing leave. F@#k them." We are still waiting for our food. And we can hear the staff by the food recieving area gossip and one woman says something along the lines of "i havent got arrested for that in a while" and "no jail for me." What kind of atmosphere is this?! No manager to scold them for talking where customers can hear?!? We then get our food a short while later (minus the soup and dessert) and my salad has chicken, avacado....and shoestring fries, tomatoes, and cucumbers on it with the ceasar dressing on the side. I tell my sister thats not what we ordered. So when the waitress came back i asked "is this the chicken avacado ceasar salad?" And she replied yeah. And then i said "but it doesnt come with tomotoes and cumcubers like this." And she pauses and then says "so you want me to take that stuff off then?" And i say yes. And she reluctantly takes our plates. And takes off the extra stuff. Leaving me and my sister with iceberg lettuce, gross looking avacado, cold chicken, and didnt take off the shoestring fries. The salad me and my sister recieved didnt look like anything like menu item. If anything it was a cobb salad with chicken. Then after me and my sister barely eat what we were given our soup comes. The soup was good. And our dessert was good beside the fact we werent given straws with our beverages or our milkshake. And once we finished eating and listening to the staff chat and chat. We wait almost 10 minutes before she comes back and gives us our checks. Lemme tell you. She got NOTHING for a tip. I am utterly disgusted with the service and food. I regret not leaving when the other trio left. I am never going to that location on St. Paul ever again. Ill stick with the amazing, wonderful, and friendly people at the Grandview location. i am never ever ever!!!! Going to recommend that location again. I will ALWAYS recommend the GRANDVIEW location!

Mediocre. That's the experience of this place in one word. The orders were roughly as requested, the food was alright, the service was ok. The experience I had in this place was the very epitome of mediocrity. Nothing wrong with it, nothing great about it. The eggs my husband and I ordered came a little under or overcooked, the waitress missed part of the order, but fixed it. A very, very mediocre experience.
