The best special in 15 years, Amado's Mom's recipe. Plantains, chicken, shrimp, with just the right amount of seasoning and spices...WOW. All this and paired with Mary' libation of marinated pineapple martini!

Not sure how anyone could go lower than four stars here....great location, atmosphere and personal & courteous service. Some highlights: - Chips & salsa are fresh, and they vary the salsa flavor. Makes each visit unique and tasty - Daily lunch specials are creative, sometimes using "out-of-the-box" ingredients to challenge your taste buds (sweet potato burrito was amazing!) - Size is just right, fits about 30 (seated) to capacity, but feels smaller. Great for a lunch-time convo with a friend or business contact Check this place out - highly recommend!

Sorry but food did not have any flavor. Overcooked pork, soggy shells, ground beef filling very bland. Service was ok and it was quaint, but food not tasty at all.

Easily the best Mexican food in town. Yet only a three star. But I go back and forth between 3 and 4. Amado's sits on the south side of Main Street, below a sign that seems to be hiding, only wanting to show itself to those with a keen eye. But the sign fits this restaurant perfectly. There are maybe eight tables in the entire restaurant, that sit along the front window, and one wall. The other walls are occupied by a classic "Main Street Bar". Cozy and personal are two words that come to mind. The staff seems to consist of a bar tender or two, a bus boy, a waitress, and maybe someone tucked away in the kitchen. And that guy in the kitchen, who ever he is does a great job. I have eaten here over a dozen times, and try to have something new every time. I have yet to be disappointed. The fish tacos are the best I've ever had, anywhere. There is a vegetarian burrito that is unbelievable. The Mexican Restaurant standard, Chips and Salsa are superb. From the bar there is a margarita night. I can't remember what night, because they are great, full price or discounted, I get at least one. (See, teetering on 3 or 4) The menu has Italian, but I'm too afraid to stray from the Mexican side. Perhaps the Italian may be what will give that little boost to a 4.

This is a nice little place. The Mexican food is original and tasty. They usually have specials that are creative. Nice bar and freindly service. Good homemade salsa.

One of the yummier and more consistent places to eat in town. They make everybody feel welcome. Can get busy at peek times. Great deals for lunch, but even at dinner I've always found all their prices to be more than fair. They're to be commended for going non-smoking even back when they didn't have to.
