This was a disappointment. Beautiful room, cozy bar and creative, inviting menu. It's all downhill from there. The "Trout Finger" appetizer was blandly breaded yet the trout was still nonetheless overpowered and tasteless. The person who ordered the Pecan Crusted Whitefish lived it but was on the toilet all evening. My pork chop was of good quality, however the preparation was once again overpowering and obscured the taste of the meat. We did not have coffee or dessert and just wanted to leave.

When my family and I visited the Apostle Islands last year, we drove by the Good Thyme restaurant and thought we should try that sometime. Our family decided to go back to the Apostle Islands again this year. We called and made reservations for Wednesday night. The place is beautiful and very comfortable inside and out. We started with the beef lettuce wraps and they were awesome. I ordered the elderflower grapefruit fizz cocktail and it was fantastic. I had the house salad with my dinner. It comes with their special Asian vinaigrette which was very tasty. My sister chose their homemade cream of tomato basil soup and it was excellent. All three of us in the party had the New York strip and it was one of the best steaks I have ever had. It was cooked to perfection and it came with sweet potato mash and asparagus. Everything was hot and perfect and the service was outstanding. Our server was very charming and sweet. And the hostess/bartender was also very nice. We loved the place so much that we made reservations for the next evening and it was equally as good.

Cozy family friendly place. Visited twice. Last time we had the fresh caught fish fry. Loved it. Feels like a family farm house with class. Unexpected bonus for us was the kids pizza was made with fresh made pizza dough not just frozen garbage.

Super yummy food. Attention to details. Every thing including the ambience is priceless. Food is heavenly. Classy!!!! We ate tofu tikka masala and it was a festival for my taste buds.

This is one of our "must go to" restaurants when we are in the area. Had the mussels tonight and have never had better. Delicious! The fish fry is always a winner. Tried the Thai salmon and will definitely order again.

I've only been here for the Friday 'Fish Fry' special with my family, but it's really excellent. Tasty fish, great service, and a reasonable price for all the food you feel like eating.

If I could give a 1/2 star, our dining experience would be 3.5 stars. Every year, on our annual trip to Bayfield for Winterfest, I stop in at Good Thyme for one of our nightly dinners. In winter, I feel this is one of the better options in the area and in the past, have always delivered. Unfortunately, this was not the case on this year's visit. With a limited menu, execution is paramount and they felt short. Featured on their appetizer menu were mussels mariniere. My girlfriend opted for that as well as a soup and salad. She should have stuck to only the soup and salad. The texture and taste of the mussels were off we knew immediately (and then confirmed) that they were previously frozen. I understand that mussels are extremely hard to come by this season due to the East Coast storms but if you can't deliver a quality product, pull it from the menu. I feel this is a huge miss by a restaurant that is trying to deliver high quality food and experience. Another miss by the restaurant was their lack of response both by email and on social media. A few weeks before our visit, I noticed that one of our favorite desserts (peanut butter pie) was no longer on the menu. I emailed the restaurant (using the email listed on the website) as well as posted on their Facebook page to inquire if I could just purchase the entire pie if it wasn't available to the general public. I still haven't received a response. Again, it goes back to execution (albeit a different form). If you are going to publish an email address for inquiries or create a Facebook page, you need to stay on top of it. With this rant over, I will point out that the steaks my daughter and I ordered were absolutely amazing. Service was also top notch. Next year, we will be back as always. Here's hoping the execution improves.

Such a phenomenal place! Always a treat. Every detail is just right, from the creative ingredients to the ambiance. And the staff give you the white glove treatment. We always stop by whenever we are in the area!

We stopped here because they were the only place FOR MILES that had a vegan option ( or knew what it was). We really hit the jackpot- the food was phenomenal. The drinks were pretty tasty and they had a bartender that actually knew what he was doing. The service was excellent and we will be making a point to stop here again!

I grew up in Washburn and whenever I come home it's a priority to go to Good Thyme. The fig and fromage pizza is my favorite app, the house salad dressing is delicious, and I've never been disappointed with an entree. They aren't fast or cheap, but if you're looking for a nice evening out endorsed by both locals and visitors, this is the place. Mid summer is especially great when the boat bar is open for fancy drinks (or plain ones) while you wait.

Had pasta special on New Year's Eve and it was the worst pasta I have had of my adult life. Chef had m no idea of proportions and ended up with a concoction that only a child would think tasted OK. Would only return if they were able to hire a new chef who had some good training and experience.
