Very good breakfast, very friendly staff plus a great view. Easily accessible from the three Lakes Airport (40D). Dean

Great place for breakfast, lunch or an ice cream cone. Come by boat (or car). Very friendly staff although service was a bit slow.

We stopped here this weekend on our sleds and had a great breakfast! I had an omelet with sundried tomatoes, spinach, and cheese...it was fantastic! All of the ingredients were very fresh. Wonderful view of the lake, very friendly staff, lots of room to store your snowmobile gear(in a separate room from the eating area), and decent prices. We'll definitely return when we're back in town!

Loved the biscuits & gravy and the corned beef hash was the real deal...not a fan of the coffee or it would have earned five stars.

My father and I and a couple of his friends visited Sunset Grill and the service and food was awesome. I had the fried steak and eggs and it was awesome. The atmosphere is nice and the staff does a great job offering expedient service in a busy environment. The Sunset Grill is right on the water and the atmosphere is cool, eclectic, and with a North Woods appeal. I would recommend this to my family and friends. The menu has a great variety and the items are prices right! Awesome place!

Sunset grill is the best breakfast place in three lakes. I tried the three lakes poacher and that's all I have every time I go there. In the summer the wait can get very long, but it is defiantly worth it.

Stopped in for lunch in the middle of our road trip. We both had pot roast sandwiches, which were excellent. Staff was friendly and the lakeside setting was great.

We went to this restaurant and left really upset. We came by boat. No one was available to pump gas, so my husband went off to find someone while I went in to get a table. I told the person at the bar there were 6 of us and asked if we should take a booth. She nodded. The owner came over and literally chewed us out for sitting down without the whole party. I explained my husband was trying to get gas, but she nastily stated there was a button to push for that. She also chewed my husband out for not ringing the bell for gas and then it took forever to get the food.

What a change from the other place on the Three Lakes Chain. No offense to the other place but the food at Sunset is just better! After year we finally decided to try Sunset Grill. Why have we not tried it before? Well, Big Stone is quite a boat ride from Long Lake and also the severe lack of dock space always turned us away. But we tried it and we were impressed. now I guess we should have come for breakfast because I have heard it is amazing but we came for lunch and... I had a Bacon Ranch Burger and it was a very good burger. Was it the best ever...no but it was very good and more importantly...cooked the way I wanted. My wife got "The Anchor" witch is the Sunset version of the Philly Cheesesteak. Now I will say this is your typical northwoods attempt at a Philly and they did well. it was good but the melted American singles on it did not scream Philly to me and it seemed to lack some sort of flavor. Just a suggestion....try some wiz. it really makes a Philly good. So, we had a great lunch and it was a fast lunch too. People with children appreciate that very much. Oh...and our service was excellent! Still need some more dock space for boats but the good meal offsets that and we would like to thank the people at Sunset for many more trips to come.

Bill & Karen run one of the best breakfast joints in town! The menu is full of tasty, healthy options as well as old favorites. Every time I go, I always have a opportunity to try something new. Check out my photos (Eggs Florentine, Steak and Eggs & The breakfast omelet)... I think the photos speak for themselves! oh-- and if you're a local or seasonal visitor of Three Lakes, Karen & Bill used to be the owners of the Black Forest a couple years back :D

Great views of the lake to go with some tasty burgers and breakfast food. I give it three stars only because it is such a hit that it can be absolutely impossible to get a place there in the summer and the wait is far too long. A good sign, but it also means I eat here less than I otherwise would.
