On our way to Pleasant Prairie outlet so decided to stop somewhere for breakfast. Had never been at Iron Skillet before so I thought we would be adventurous and give the truck stop a try. I love stopping at places like this, always an experience. We were greeted and seated right away. I was surprised how nice it was inside and that they had a salad bar too. We ordered off the menu and I got a spinach, egg and pepper jack breakfast sandwich with hash browns and my son to a grilled cheese. It took quite a long time to get the order but when it came it was very good. I wasn't expecting much so it turned out ok. Tasted better than it looked. Service was slooooooowwwww. Wasn't' impressed with our waitress at all. Not friendly, not motivated and didn't seem to care to be there. How sad. Overall, good experience and I would definitely stop in again to try something different.

We stop at the Iron Skillet mainly for the amazing cole slaw. They make it in house and a side is enough for two. The staff is always very nice and the business seems to be well run.

If you don't want to be bothered with drink refills or being asked "how is your meal?" before getting your bill, then this place is for you. Food was slow to get but it was hot.

I've been here twice while waiting for coach. Service is great, but the food really sucks. I won't try again.

The buffet has a good variety but tastes mediocre. My apple was rotten through, I'll attach the picture. I had to ask the guy hitting on the girl working behind the buffet to move so I could get food. They proceeded to chat in front of me extremely inappropriately and after sitting down my husband watched them exchange numbers. This is the type of place that gives truck stops and OTR truckers a bad name! We will not be back.

I always drove past this place in the past but decided to stop in with a friend on the way home. The place was clean and the waitress was friendly. The menu was average and the prices were very reasonable. We got our food and it was good and seasoned fine. The picture of my Skillet I ordered looked better than what got delivered but this seems true everywhere you go with pictures on menus. What is nice it is attached to a gas station along with other small stores including a bakery outlet so it is an all in one stop since it is a big Truck stop for Truckers. I enjoyed the meal and I would go back again if I was on that side if town. I would compare it to a Mom and Pop type of diner.

I enjoy eating at this restaurant when the Chef named Mr. Mann is cooking! He's an excellent cook that reminiscent of my southern roots. This place would be wonderful if it weren't for 2 things: #1: We were told by one of the workers that crablegs will not be served anymore - the menu will be changing. #2: I found a FLYING ant in my drink and the hostess/manager named Karyn refused to acknowledge it & apologize but instead advised me to call Myron - the GM. Why bother! I would just as soon not go back & eat in unsanitary conditions!!!

Im a trucker and usually enjoy the buffet at Iron Skillet but this place is not a corporate owned location and the owner insists on blasting Fox News in the trucker area with strict instructions not to change the channel. I couldn't eat with that stupidity blasting at me. The waitress apologized but said she couldn't change the channel even though other people ask as well. I called Petro corporate and got a prompt call back from the district manager who also apologized but this is a franchise so not much he could do. More people should complain.

The breakfast buffet is somewhat strange ... you get the "sides" from the buffet, then order the main meal , eggs, pancakes. Strange. The sides didn't seem all that appealing to me this morning. Nothing wrong with the display ... full. For how long the food was on display, I don't know. The restaurant wasn't very busy so either the food was on display for a long time or it just got put out I did see a couple of customers go to the buffet and they weren't complaining. In any case, I didn't really care since I ended up ordering off the menu. I ordered a skillet dish that I believe was called the "ham scrambler." It was to be scrambled eggs on top of ham and hash browns with a side of toast. The eggs weren't scrambled (broken up scrambled), but they did cover ham cubes and has browns. I has some wheat toast with the meal. The meal was pretty good. My wife has some eggs/french toast/sausage combination and she was please with her meal Overall, okay for breakfast; no comment on the buffet; waitress friendly, place relatively empty for a Saturday A.M., prices okay and clean from what I could see.

Looks like an old Denny's Service mediocre I got a steak breakfast skillet & was hopeful that the steak was of decent quality, and it did not disappoint Most items seemed slightly overpriced for the kind of place it is

Good service from Meghan. Clean family friendly truck stop diner. Large portions at a good price. My scrambled eggs tasted a bit funky though.

The buffet looked okay. I ordered the cajun shrimp wrap with coleslaw. I was very surprised by the flavor. It was good! I would also recommend this as a general truck stop because it has some pretty cool Wisconsin souvenirs and the restrooms smell good.

Stopped in late one night and enjoyed a refreshing fresh salad bar, well stocked and a burger. Experience was exactly what I needed to get me back on my way. Amy the manager was great and accomodating

I loved this place. The food was excellent and quickly prepared. The waitresses were funny, enjoyed their jobs and suggested the best food. On top of that they have a Danish bakery inside and a great truck-stop shop. Excellent all around. Over a weekend I came here three times it was so good.

Breakfast buffet looked like it was made last week. Unfortunately we ordered before we looked. The intestinal consequences were not good and hopefully will not linger for more than a couple days. Truly awful.

This truck stop restaurant is also the Racine area bus stop for the bus shuttle between Milwaukee and Chicago O'Hare. In the long-lost days before every stop along the interstate had three motels and three chain restaurants, our rule of thumb when on the road was to look for places that seemed to be popular with truckers, as a way of trying to make sure that the food was decent and the rest rooms clean. This place would have made the cut. If anything, the food is a cut above the Denny's/family restaurant level, and I know some Racinians who think it's worth a trip out to I-94.

My husband and I have eaten here plenty of times and tonight the buffet was ribs, pork ribs, brisket, chicken, hot dog, mashed potatoes, hush puppies, vegetable stir fry and a large salad bar. A lot of the food was cold, chicken was greasy. Stir fry has stringy cheese in it. Usually the buffet is good but not tonight. The place is very clean, the servers are very attentive. The truck stop part is nice, clean restrooms, there is a bakery inside to get awesome danish's. I have had better in the past and I would recommend trying the menu, they do have very good food off the menu.
