Fine, it's a chain. And to me, a Culver's is a Culver's. BUT this location does some things pretty darn well that I think are worth a review: -This location is always clean. Super well-kept, and there are usually staff members making regular rounds to sweep up any spills and tidy up the tables. -The staff at this location are especially courteous, even to the point of occasionally checking in with guests at tables. Unnecessary but a nice touch. -Custard is good (obviously). -The chicken strips are my guilty pleasure. Not greasy in the least and perfectly crispy. Nom.

They run this location like a well oiled machine. This is one of the better locations in the metro area. My order was taken and 5 minutes later, I had my food. I am not proud that I am addicted to the fries and concrete mixers, but hey, I am not perfect. If I can't make it to Kopp's, this is always my second choice. Cheers to winter weight gain!

Culver's is one of the best fast food options, in my opinion. I don't eat here often, but every once in awhile, I crave a simple fast food lunch or I'm in a hurry and need a quick dinner option. In the past, I have stuck to the cheeseburgers, but yesterday I went for the buffalo chicken strips. The strips were good white meat and pretty large. The breading was not too thick and nicely crispy. I'ld like the buffalo sauce spicier, but this is not surprising for fast food. I ordered the blue cheese sauce and it was actually good quality with large chunks of blue cheese. The fries are crinkle cut and crispy. All in all, pretty good.

Like any other Culver's I have been to, the burgers here are fantastic. I also experienced great customer service. The cashier was very friendly and helpful. The person that brought my food actually went and got a little container of ketchup for me.

Damn it, I"ll admit it. What am I trying to hide? My pride isn't that fragile. (Maybe, actually. I digress.) I. Went to Culver's for lunch. Yesterday. All things considered: Chain? Check, minus one. Wisconsin-born chain? Check, plus one. Fast food? Check, minus one. Fast food that's at least recognizable and tastes more like real food? Check, plus one. Fish sandwich? Pretty okay, weird that they'd put SHREDDED CHEESE on a fish sandwich, but whatevs. (I would've been fine w/ lettuce and onion and tartar sauce.) Fries? Eh, as far as fries go. In the world of fast food, however, Culver's is as Ryan H. said "nothing mind blowing or earth shattering but they are fairly priced and good for what you're getting." Sometimes I like burgers and malts and then I feel like I have to be on the elliptical for a hundred days, but for those times? I go to Kopp's. Mmm. Kopp's. Culver's: fast food that's not terribly fast because they give you that little number and you have to wait, but in a pinch, it'll do just fine. Watch out for that shredded cheese on the fish sandwich, though. Um.

Yes, Culver's is a chain, and Shorewood is not the original location (that one is in Sauk City) but Shorewood is definitely the best location. Service is always fantastic, and the food quality is what makes Culver's stand out among its peers. When my sister comes to town from Florida, Culver's is always on her list of places to go. One thing that's fun about this location? The Shorewood High School wall of fame, where you'll find Mrs. Garrett, the guys who made the movie Airplane, and former Supreme Court Chief Justice William Rehnquist to name a few.

The food was good except they messed up our order quite a bit. We asked for the chicken salad value basket and they gave us a 7 dollar garden salad with chicken.

I like to judge a restaurant based on the strength of its reuben. Culver's serves a damn fine reuben and its pretty much the only thing I ever order. Skip the fries--they're nothing special. Substitute onion rings or the truly divine cheese curds for a dollar extra. This place has the nicest staff I've ever experienced and the dining room is constantly being cleaned. Send in the most difficult person you know and they will walk away happy. I've seen it happen.

I will admit, this busy grad student with two teens eats here far too often. Why? It is around the corner and easy to swing through the drive-thru on the way home. Although they have raised the prices - we can still get 3 kids meals for around $15 which is enough and includes custard if we want. I don't like their custard since being spoiled by Kopps. Many things to choose from - actual cheddar cheese. They are very supportive of local school events and often have dine in nights were a % of the proceeds go to school events. BUT - most importantly is the staff! Seriously, some of the nicest staff. My kids and their friends spend hours there and probably don't buy that much food for the number of kids. But the staff and management are always kind. They even know my kid by name - I am not sure if I should be glad or worried about that.

Culver's is the next closest thing to experiencing the Twilight Zone. The staff is so nice that I didn't even know how to react. I seriously thought it was some odd dream I was having where I walk in to Culver's and am instantly greeted by seven staff members. Enough with that. Baskets, burgers, shakes. Seriously you can get whatever you want at this place. I think they even have cakes....Butter burgers are a classic and for a "chain" or "fast food" restaurant are absolutely impeccable burgers. The wavy type fries are excellent too. The fact that they have their own root beer is a huge plus too. Haha... another anecdote regarding the staff... My friend ordered a bunch of random items and the woman ringing her up some how compiled it in to a "meal" order and saved him around five bucks. Place owns.

If you plan to stay fit you don't want to eat here often, but those times when you want something quick and tasty this Culver's delivers. I'm a big fan of places that are clean and that is one thing I can say about this location - it's always clean and the employees are always friendly. Whoever the manager is here does a good job of hiring because they are always upbeat and positive when talking to you. Fast food places nowadays you lucky if they ask you to take your order. I honestly don't eat a ton of their menu but I love the chicken tenders and fries. I've heard they have a few other signature items as well. This Culver's is a solid place to go when you want to eat some food that isn't the best for you. Beware of the construction that always seems to be going on in this area. It will be easy to park but may be a challenge getting out of the parking lot back onto the street.

Every Culver's is considerably a favor to the tastebuds. Nearby both the high school and middle school, this Culver's hosts a range of ages through the day. Children and teens are well behaved (so far as I know) and the service is kind and welcoming. Even the younger staff and local teenagers maintain the good service and name of Culver's. The drive in is well placed and organized in a non confusing manner.

As far as fast food goes they get a solid four, they dont have anything mind blowing or earth shattering but they are very fairly priced and quite good... I had the butterburger, which apparently is one of the things that they are known for... i'd suggest it, but next time i am heading for the fried chicken... their custard is pretty great as well... definitely try and save room for this stuff, and if you dont save room just stuff it down anyways...

I have been to over 20 Culver's locations in Wisconsin and neighboring states. Why? Because when you're on the road and you're hungry, your options are limited. It's either gonna be McDonalds or Culver's. And Culver's almost always satisfies. Culver's has a rather extensive and varied menu for a fast food chain. But at the end of the day this is a burger chain. Thick, juicy greasy patties garnished with fresh ingredients. Everything served at Culver's is always of top quality, and you never feel gross after eating there, unlike McDonalds. Culver's custard can also hold its own with just about any mom n pop custard stand in Milwaukee or Wisconsin. Rich, creamy, and of remarkably consistent quality day to day and franchise to franchise. Culver's has developed somewhat of a cult following in Wisconsin and those nearby. Many Chicagoans I know head to Culver's first thing after stepping foot in Wisconsin. Culver's is a rare treat: a fast food burger joint with top shelf quality ingredients, flavor and service.

I've been to this Culver's many times, but this is the first time after a long hiatus. I must have wanted it quite bad because the construction on Capitol made it a pain to get there. For 3 PM, it was quite busy. I didn't have to wait long to put in my order. I ordered a chicken tender basket with cheese curds. The girl took my order and my money, and then gave me a number. I waited for my food, which did not take long. However, when I was given my food, there were french fries instead of cheese curds. I took my bag back up to the cash register and told them the problem. The guy just looked at me as if he didn't know what to do. I really was craving cheese curds for the longest time, and that was the whole reason I even went. So, I said that I would pay the extra money, as long as they would give me the cheese curds. The girl who originally took my order rang up the cheese curds and apologized, she said that she heard me ask for them, but she just failed to key it in the cash register. Hmmmm, I'm not one to gun for free stuff, but it would not have been at all inappropriate for them to just give me the cheese curds, considering it was the fault of the cashier. Then, I was never given a cup for a drink, which I am pretty sure is included with the basket. However, at that point, I just wanted to go home. So I left. On a brighter note, the food was not a disappointment.

It's a whole big step up in its category. I usually order the burger, or a double one which is really sinful, and a malt. Just go and enjoy. Nice staff and service, clean, fresh tasting food. Like any outfit that is growing rapidly and seems to have a steady flow of customers, one is justified to expect the quality to slip after a while. Well, that "after a while" hasn't come. As good as the first time, and every other time in between. Excellent concept, perfectly executed.

I must say that as far as artery clogging spots go this place Rocks. I really liked this place. My father in law likes this place and my sister in law suggested that we take him a burger for his birthday lunch as he does not get out very much. My guys snapped up the chance at a Butter Burger...scary. They loved it. I had a Mango cooler and it was very refreshing. I did have the brisket sandwich on another day and it was delicious. I also had the mango smoothie. The guys stuck with Butter burgers with bacon and cheese. The both came home 3 lbs heavier and thank goodness I was a pound lighter. This place was really yummy.Onion rings were excellent. The only complaint is that the lady at the Jackson drive thru was so enthralled with our California plates on our rental that she forgot to put the fries in the bag. We had never tried it before but I think I prefer the grill items to Kopps.

Culver's leaves all other fast food restaurant chains in the dust. That's right, I'm talking to you McDonald's, Wendy's, and Burger King. Customer service from a time long since forgotten, a level of cleanliness here to before never seen in a fast food chain setting. If you can't reach Kopp's or just want to sit down in a place, this is a good alternative. They also have kickass turtle sundaes.
