The best thing I can say about this place is it appeared to be clean. The service was awful. The food was greasy. We ordered typical breakfast fare which admittedly isn't fat free but I felt like I wanted to ask for some extra napkins to blot up the grease. When we needed a drink refill there was no one around for a long period of time. We finally flagged down the greeter who was fussing over a display near the front. Only then did our waitress show up. She admitted that she saw the greeter guy come over to the table so she came out to see what we needed. My guess is the servers are behind a glass window that we cant see thru.

Had the Poblano Chowder, clam chowder and the chicken Caesar salad my wife had the honey mustard turkey on oat bran. All was phenomenal. You have to come here if you haven't since a kid! The pies are still good too;)

This food is awful. I will never waste any money there again. The ultimate breakfast was a plate of tasteless garbage. How hard it's out to make real bacon and eggs. The pie didn't redeem it either. Very disappointed.

Went there with a friend from work. BIG mistake! Slow service. Food is bland and boring. We both in our 30's, but the regulars are in their 60's, 70's and 80's. Fun crowd...lol. My friend had to order water several times before the waitress brought it out. Water...really? NEVER going back there again

Went for Sunday breakfast, wanted to do something different than our usual breakfast stops. Oh what a mistake this was.. Terrible service...waitress took forever to check up on us, had to ask for water refills, gave us a tobasco bottle with no more than a few drops left in it so we had to ask for another, left us sitting for ten minutes after finishing our food before finally bringing our check. The restaurant was not busy so I don't know what she could have possibly been too busy with to properly serve us. The food itself did come fairly quick however that didn't make up for it being utterly uninspiring and bland. Not coming back here again.

This is the old Poppin Fresh Pies. They seat, take the order, serve, & get you out very promptly. Entrees are ok priced $7.99 for 1/2 sandwich, bowl of soup & piece of pie, $8.99 for bowl of soup, quiche, & slice of pie but apparently on Wednesday, with any entree, you get a free slice of pie. If you fill out the receipt survey, you will get 20% off your next visit.

Do you like pie? They make pie! Are you are my genetic clone, and have my addiction to chocolate mousse pie? It's a very difficult, time-consuming recipe, and they've been making this pie very well for many years! Do you see the pattern of punctuation marks here? Four stars!

I'm very disappointed in what has happened to the standards at bakers square. I've been eating here for over 10 years and it just keeps getting worse and worse. I still enjoy their food and the pies. Which has gotten them 2 stars but man their service is crap! The past few times we've been the service has been super slow. This time we waited over 40 minutes to get our food even though half the tables were empty. (Side note: the empty tables were covered with garbage from earlier diners that hadn't been cleaned. We didn't see a single table get bussed in our hour and 15 min sitting there for lunch) Our waitress apologized for the wait and said she'd be sure to get us free pie. When we finished our meal she was no where to be found. After another ten minutes we decided just to go to the front, get our pie to go and pay. The manager was nice enough and gave us her 30% discount. I still left a 18% tip however when I got my receipt back they had charged me for a 30% tip! Again I had to go find the manager and get this fixed. Upon arriving home I found they didn't even give us the pie we had asked for! Luckily their pie is amazing or they would have lost another customer today. I'll only be back to get some pie to go from now on.

Come for the food, stay for the pie. It's a chain, so the food is neither the highest nor the lowest in terms of quality, and the service can be hit or miss, but the pie makes it worthwhile. Menu is mostly soups, salads, and sandwiches, but they also serve breakfast all day. I had the Ultimate Breakfast, and it reminded me of the scene in Pleasantville where Joan Allen cooks breakfast for the kids, and just piles breakfast food on their plate... "and of course, a ham steak!" The ham steak was cut really thick and full of flavor. Although it's a chain, it holds a special place in my heart because this was our hangout in my college years. For whatever reason, we went there every Monday (even though Wednesday is free pie day), and so many college memories took place there. So even though it should probably get three stars, I'm giving it four... because "I'm getting pie!"
