Two words....Duchess Burger. Have it. It's amazing. Had another great experience at Duke of Devon taking some out of town friends for lunch. Friends wanted cheese curds. Even though it's not on their lunch menu, they made some for us, and they were delish. I can't get enough of the Duchess Burger. Tons of flavorful mushrooms on top and a wonderful cheddar, cooked to a perfect medium temperature as requested. Service again was great!

Our second experience of rude service at the door. After 10 minutes waiting for a menu we decided to go elsewhere. Dissapointing when Il Ritrovo has such great service & food everytime we go there.

Very good pub fare, and it's no surprise that you find it in Sheboygan, WI of all places. We used to live in this little city and you just never know where you will find great places to eat. When we lived here this was one of our regular places. The only place my wife prefers over here is Il Ritrovo. The Duke of Devon features great fish n' chips, spotted dick, bangers and mash, etc, along with a good selection of draft beers to enjoy. I have always enjoyed the salad specials because they have that great "fresh n' zesty" taste to them. I don't order salads on principle, but I make an exception here. I don't remember the exact name, but there is a type of pot roast dish that is beyond out of this world! You have got to try the curry chips, and ask for extra curry sauce. The specials are good each and every time. Portions aren't too large, and the service is good every time. It is a bit on the pricey side for Sheboygan, but definitely high quality dining. Expect to pay $25/pp with tip.

Great pub atmosphere with a unique selection on tap. Great real fish and chips with the malt vinegar....and didn't even have to ask. Try have a nice outdoor patio in the afternoon, but when it gets crowded, the service can be slow. Loved my poutine! Come relax here...

We had a fabulous lunch on Friday. We sat at the bar so we could watch the PGA Championship. Our bartender Emma was a delight. She knew the menu and recommended great martinis for us. Lunch was cooked to perfection. Will definitely return when I am in Sheboygan. The only negative was the server who continuously created drama. Emma was very professional and tried to get her away from the customers.

Burger was well-cooked and a decent bit of beef but too salty. And wow, twenty bucks?! This is the burger joint for ambience and beer selection; for just a fantastic burger, try Charcoal Inn North.

My girlfriend had been talking about this place forever, and I'm so excited that I finally got a chance to go. This isn't a place I can afford to come all of the time, but it's a great meal and a great atmosphere that makes for a perfect night out or date night. The interior is super cozy and really friendly and inviting. The walls are absolutely chockablock with British kitsch. There's sports items and queen items and even a few Doctor Who items. It's really cool to look at them all to kill time between courses or to make conversation. There's a really nice full bar, and a patio with outdoor seating with a beautiful lookout to the river. When we went, it was absolutely packed, making a cheery and lively atmosphere. There's also a little section up front that sells tshirts and jackets, as well as a small assortment of British treats like tea and Turkish Delight. We said "okay" to being seated at a small two-top near the bar so we didn't have to wait for a different table, but in the future that won't happen again. It was way too small of a seat to fit our meals, drinks, and appetizers all together. It was a bit of a pain to shuffle everything, but I consider it just a note for next time. We started with a couple of Strongbow ciders, and a few appetizers too. We got the Clovelly Clam Strips ($8) and The Mayflower ($15). The clams come in a really generous portion for what you pay. They were fried but not overcooked- the clams were tender and not at all chewy. The Mayflower is an awesome little cheese plate that comes with English stilton, Deer Creek aged cheddar, Sartori aged goat cheese, Deer Creek Colby, pickled veggies, and long cracker strips. All of the cheeses were good, but I loved the goat cheese the best. We also got a basket of complimentary bread that included fresh made beer bread, and it was absolutely delightful. My girlfriend ordered the Big Ben Steak ($32) and that came with vegetables, stilton-bacon mashed potatoes, and a really good stout demi glace. She absolutely loved it, and would order it again in the heartbeat, especially the potatoes of all things. I ordered the classic Fish and Chips ($17) with mushy peas. It was perfect. The fish was perfectly cooked, the breading was crisp. I was pleasantly surprised that it was one large fish fillet instead of a bunch of little fish stick looking things like I've had at other places- I much prefer the larger, single piece! Our server was really quick and attentive. She made sure to list the specials and was knowledgeable about the food and the drink menu. She was funny and made great conversation, and I was really pleased that she had our leftovers boxed to-go, instead of doing it ourselves. I'm really, really happy with the evening I spent here. The food was good and in big portions that make it well worth the price. It's a great place to either eat a meal, or pop in for a beer, especially on the outside patio.

Solid, unexpected British pub in Sheboygan - high quality food, something for everyone with the best fried fish I've ever had - beer battered, light, flaky and worth a drive from Chicago Great beers on tap + solid bottle selection. We'll be back
(5)Taylor H.
"The Duke" always has a great selection of beers on tap and a great selection of dishes to accompany them. During warmer seasons it's great to have lunch outside with views of the river walk and Lake Michigan. A little higher priced on some items but the flavors never disappoint. Also, the atmosphere of this British pub is something that should be witnessed first hand!
(4)Janet T.
Kids menu, good menu options, fish and chips are delicious...perfectly breaded and fried, yummy homemade tartar sauce. Friendly service, British fun decor and nice outside deck when the weather warms up.
(4)Julie S.
Really great discovery, all around good food & lovely atmosphere & view. Had a Toastie and it was wonderful, husband had fish & chips and he said it was very good. Will stop back again!!

Everytime we go up to Kohler we make it a point to head over to the Duke of Devon. The first time we went to Kohler in 2009 we randomly stumbled upon the Duke and fell in love with this place. It's only ten minutes from the American Club and beats their overpriced food. It's got a great location right on the river and a very cool interior featuring all things British. The bar itself is huge and the best part is it features many unique beers. Get the Royal Tasting which is 6 three ounce pours - a great deal and a great way to try some different beers. The food is outstanding as well, with many unique takes on your average pub grub. I get the burger with chipotle mayo, avocado, and a bacon. It's as good as it sounds. The Duke of Devon is a very cozy place to make some great memories and have some great beer and food. 24/365

I had dinner here last week while I was in Sheboygan on vacation. I had discovered this restaurant while I was doing research on restaurants in the area. I was very disappointed. The food was just ok but what got to me was the prices. $16.95 for Fish and Chips? That's just crazy! Here in Chicago at an authentic English restaurant they charge $10.95. Bangers 'n Mash were priced at $17.95. Really? Again, in Chicago that would be $10.95. I just don't understand why everything is priced so high. Granted, they are located on the water and the view is nice but not worth these prices.

I am a sucker for a place with Churchill quotes, so that might taint my review a bit, but this place has some of the best burgers we've ever had. There are several interesting options, and all have been excellent. The beer selection is nice as well. Easy recommendation, and good for kids.
(5)Jon S.
There isn't much in that area for bars but this is a good option. The bartender was outstanding and fixed us with some great drinks. They did close relatively early that night and that was strange. The food was good, I am not sure how authentic it is. But it tastes good. I would give this place a try just because of the service we received.
(4)Dana R.
Went here for lunch this past Saturday and had one of the better veggie burgers and vegetarian curry dishes I have had in quite some time. I've noticed other people speak about the lack of authenticity this place has to offer, I'm going to guess none of them have ever actually been to the UK. This place is CHALK FULL of authentic photos, memorabilia, football scarves, etc. The menu is spot on compared to what you would see at a British pub, everything from Bangers and Mash, mushy peas, curry dishes, shepherd's pie...all of the favorites are here! The selection of draft and bottled beer, along with scotch selections make you feel like you're at a pub in London or elsewhere throughout the UK. Our waiter Joe did a great job and was very quick to get us anything that we needed. The only thing missing was a TV devoted to only EPL or Champions League games. I would love to check this spot out in the summertime (we went in Feb.) as it's right near the harbor and I can imagine how cool it would be on a sunny Saturday afternoon!
(5)Roneel S.
If you are willing to pay the price, then you are in for a delicious treat. We went in for fish and chips, they had fried chip, which did not really make an impression, but everything else we ordered was amazing!!
(4)Karen W.
Great atmosphere with lots of character, great location with a patio on the riverfront, superb service, terrific food and drinks! Had the perch special, which was fantastic, and the watermelon-basil mojito.....summer in a glass! A great find while traveling through on business.
(5)Jen W.
The Duke of Devon is our go to stop when we are in Sheboygan visiting our good friends. The atmosphere is great. I especially love the empowering statements found in the women's bathroom. Check them out - if you are female that is! My favorites include the picadilly pizza and the traditional fish and chips with mushy peas. They even provide malt vinegar at the tables which is a sign of authenticity in my book. The D of D is not particularly child friendly, not for a toddler that is. My daughter does not like anything on their children's menu. I usually have brought in food for her and that was never a problem. The quarters are kind of tight, there is not much wiggle room, so we usually end up walking outside on the board walk until our meal comes. There is outdoor seating with a great view of the harbor. The waitstaff are friendly and attentive. Their changing menu includes local produce and fresh takes on traditional British food. check it out when you are in town.
(4)Stephanie F.
Great place for an outdoor meal in the summer. They allowed dogs on their patio when other places on the boardwalk didn't. They even brought my dog water and a treat. Their beer selection was awesome and the food was out of this world. The service was fantastic too. The waitress never forgot about us.

Recommend the mussels and fish and chips

Yet another stop on our holiday tour of Wisconsin! We stopped in for dinner last Tuesday evening, hoping for a warm plate of curry fries and a delicious bit of fish and chips. The curry fries were pretty great, although a tad over-priced in my opinion ($9.95 for a plate of fried potatoes with curry drizzled over them). For the same price I could get an entire entree at a comparable restaurant in the area. What the curry fries lacked in price appeal, however, the beer menu made up for. We were able to buy a glass of Delerium Tremens for only $8-- a steal in a pub like Duke of Devon. I also tried to order a Black and Tan, but the stout they had on hand didn't float in the glass, so who wants that? In the end I ordered a plate of fish and chips, which was absolutely delightful. We ended up sharing the extra chips and using the remaining curry sauce to make our appetizer last throughout the entire meal. The wait staff tried to take away the curry dish three separate times. Overall it was a good experience. The decor and atmosphere at the bar is wonderful. There were a few bothersome things, but I left the bar feeling full and happy. I would definitely go again if I was in the area!

Had lunch here with a friend. Extensive beer list, but few domestics. Not surprising because it's British-themed. I had the small fish fry. Good fish, one piece, with fries and mushy peas. Malt vinegar on the table, which is good. My friend had the clam strips, which came with no sides, just cocktail sauce. Good food, but nothing amazing, so four stars. I'll be back, though.

ORDERED: Lynton Haddock Fish Sandwich (Our classic fish and chip haddock served on a Sheboygan Hard Roll with lettuce, tomato, and homemade tartar sauce.) $10.95. I chose sweet potato fries with house made curry sauce. TASTED: Great sandwich! The haddock fish, along with cod, are the most widely used fish in Britain's fish and chips. (Warning: I long ago learned not to Google image search the various fish I consume.) The house made tartar sauce added a nice tart bite to cut through the fried fish and the locally made bun held its own. The sweet potato fries were the crinkle cut variety, looking similar to Culver's. Devon's curry sauce is awesome! Note: The bread and butter served before the meal is outstanding. I found myself dipping fries in the butter. I drank a few cups of locally roasted coffee although I can't remember or find the name of the roaster. A great lunch, great service with an unexpected focus on farm to fork.

This is a great place to stop in. Chicken curry is worth the trip alone. Went in the winter but the deck looks like a nice place to eat.
(4)Stac M.
Went here on a chilly Friday night. We got in just in time to find 2 seats together at the bar while we waited for a table to open up. The service at the bar was so great we decided to stay there to eat while we chatted. The ambiance is low-key, nice and friendly. There were several 'regulars' at the bar who joked with the bartenders. The food was good- huge portions! All-in-all, I'd go back!
(4)Lisa S.
I had a special salad and it was good but the cured salmon was a small square and did not taste fresh. The salad had tempura snap peas which were really unique and delish, We sat in a booth with a curtain, that was neato. I thought the waitress was great and loved the atmosphere and beer selection.
(4)CM P.
Love this place. Great night out for something a little different.
(4)Kyle S.
This is a great place to go grab a brew after a long day...a lot of specialty beers on draft and even more in the bottle. Their salads are delicious and compliment the meal to follow. Tip: if you order a side salad, ask them to bring it out before the meal if that's when you want it, because their default is to bring it out on the same plate as your meal.
(4)Chris G.
Great curried muscles and lamb burger. Always a nice choice of good beers.
(4)Chris H.
I love this place and I come here at least once every time I'm in town. The outdoor patio is pleasant. My favorite is the burger with mushrooms and aged cheddar. I am not big on the Applebee's-style kitch on the walls but the beer selection is always interesting and the staff is great.
(4)ArTal K.
Great pub food, creative flavors and quality ingredients. Loved the extensive beer list. Our server was awesome! All around great spot!

As a "foodie", My emphasis is first on the food - everything else is secondary. The Duke delivers big time on food, and not far behind is the decor and location. I had the fish specials (mussels in a curry sauce, lake perch) that were exceptionally good - fresh and prepared as fish should be. My companions had similar comments on their choices - all top rate. Service was good, the wait staff very pleasant which added to the overall experience. Overall the Duke is not to be missed as a first class dining experience.
(5)Chef J.
The beer and drinks were great; most of the food was great. We loved the mussels in curry sauce. The frites were fantastic. What was going on with the Cobb salad? While they had clearly taken care to serve freshly cut tender slices of avocado, the radicchio was hard and so bitter that it overwhelmed the whole salad. (Good radicchio is hard to find. It should be sweet, tender with a bitter edge.) And the clam strips on the salad? What are they thinking? Clam strips are hollow and flavorless. Without the whole belly of the clam, fried clam strips have no excuse to exist, let alone being served on a Cobb salad. The salad experience literally left a bitter taste in our mouths. We love this family of restaurants. On this Sunday night, Stefano and the pizza place were closed.

English pub in Sheboygan, right off the lake. Interesting mixed drinks, warm decor, complete with the requisite Princess Di photos in the bathroom, and good curry chips. They also have a great beer selection, as might be expected.
(3)Kelli A.
We stopped here for lunch on our way to Door County. The service was great. The waitress was friendly and got me a larger glass of water when she saw I was almost done with my initial small glass. I got the tenderloin sandwich. I really enjoyed this sandwich. The horseradish sour cream sauce was subtle and added great flavor without being overwhelming. The onion ring on the sandwich had a very light tasty breading. My hubby got a beef barley soup to start and said it was good. He then had the union jack burger. He said it was just ok. The burger was a little over cooked and was overwhelmingly salty probably due to the bacon. He felt it needed some sort of sauce to pull it all together. He really enjoyed his New Glarus Chocolate Abbey beer.

I love all of the restaurants owned under this group so it pains me to write this. A large part of why I frequent the 4 restaurants is because the food is excellent and they have a gluten free food which is extremely limited in the Sheboygan area. I ordered a chicken sandwich with gf bun I was busy in conversation with my mom when the food arrived. I took a few bites which were delicious and kept talking until I said to my mom this is too good to be gluten free bread! I thought I was joking and kept eating until my cheeks started to flare bright red and my throat start to itch and then I knew I was in trouble. We tried to get our servers attention and finally we caught her and asked already knowing the pretty much knowing the answer but we needed to make sure since I have other food allergies, but yes they had given me regular bread not gluten free. They took care of the bill for us and apologized profusely. By the time I got home which took aprox. 10 more min I was in full allergy crisis. I had to take emergency measures and medication and was sick for 2 days following. I have not been back to any of the 4 restaurants since that incident which makes me sad since I was a regular customer but I'm still too shaken up by what happened.

Had the Empire Chicken Sandwich - it was ok. The chicken on one end was a little over done - but it was still relatively tasty. Along with the sandwich I had the sweet potato fries. Probably the most disappointing thing is they no longer serve an English Breakfast! For the amount of food, it is actually a little surprising how expensive the food is. For the chicken sandwich with fries as $14. The seating is plentiful, and there are some booths that can accommodate up to about 8 people - something you don't typically find in a restaurant anywhere. If you are looking for a place to seat a slightly larger group (like the 8 to a booth) you are good to go. However, be sure to have reservations if you would like to have a larger group. If it is a nice day, take advantage of the outdoor seating too. They are right along the water, so if it is in the afternoon the seating is mostly shaded. It is worth noting, the kitchen does close during the afternoon sometime between lunch and dinner. I arrived with a group right around 2:30 - and we were able to order - so my guess is they close between 3-4 in order to prep for the evening menu.
(3)Carrie H.
We were seated and didn't even see our waitress for 5 minutes, she said she would be "right with us." Everyone around us was also frustrated with her. I heard one table ask for their check twice, the table next to us got the wrong food...twice. We still hadn't ordered so we got up and left. I cannot comment on the food, but the service was awful. The host couldn't even tell us what was "on tap." He didn't know and said the waitress would tell us.
(1)Laura C.
We had a reservation but were sat beneath the TV behind the bar. Our waitress was very nice.. Ordered the salad with salmon and companion had the fish and chips. Very authentic. Would sit at the bar next time. Turned on to the alcoholic ginger beer and it will be forever a summer drink for me. A little pricey for what you get.

Having grown up Catholic in Wisconsin Friday night fish fries were a tradition and having spent time in England found that even English people don't like English food. Went to the Duke of Devon English Pub & Eatery on the recommendation of other Yelp reviewers but I was not overly impressed. While the food was good it was nothing to write my English friends about. I had the "traditional" English fish & chips, this was a block of haddock (bout 1" thick x 4" x 8"), I wish they had cut this into 3 or 4 pieces as to cook the fish through the batter was greasy and a little burnt tasting, set this on top of fried potatoes and you get greasy soft chips. And I don't know any Englanders that like mushy peas. We sat down for an early dinner, the dinning room is very small, and by the time we were done the restaurant had filled up so it felt like the guests sitting next to me were actually sitting at my table. Suggestion, cut the fish up so it cooks better and it will cook faster to get food out to dinners quicker. I would go back the next time I am in Sheboygan, but I think I would try something else, perhaps the bangers & mash.
(3)Christina A.
Stopped in the night of the first Packers game of the season and it was a ghost town. (to my delight since we had been moving all day and I looked like crap). There were only five of us at the bar and I felt like I was in some kind of fun movie on a coast somewhere. Our bartender/server was an absolute gem and the beer was delicious! My husband had the chicken sandwich (which he loved) and I was oh so delighted to find out they had Shepherd's Pie that night with goat cheese mashed potatoes. But you know what was truly awesome? The vegetables. I'm not kidding. The quality of the food at Duke of Devon was superb. I was really blown away by everything. I can't wait to go back and try one of their English curries!
(4)Leon J.
I am currently coming from Texas to Wisconsin for a short stay and I wanted to eat something that was different from steaks and Mexican cuisine. Well I tried this place and it was simply amazing. The customer service was phenomenal and our waiter Chad was simply spot on target and very attentive. He was truly world class and the transition between entrees from start to finish was great. I had the halibut with garlic infused kale as a side and it was delicious! I highly recommend this place and will definitely come back again and again,
(5)Tony C.
I like the place more for its beer and atmosphere than I do the food. We have twice ordered the vegetarian curry, which is pretty watery and doesn't have a great sampling of vegetables. The fish and chips is fine, and probably authentic, but not as tasty as other fish frys that one would get in Wisconsin. Like I said, the atmosphere is really cool, the beer selection is great, and the staff are all wonderful.
(4)Colleen B.
Adorable pub right on the river so the view is great and the decor is festive. We waited in the doorway for a few minutes while our server figured out where we could sit which as a little awkward. After that service was pleasant and timely. The food was very good. but mostly I would got back for the warm sticky toffee pudding. So good!
(4)Helene J.
I hadn't been here for a few years, but went for dinner last month. Had the chicken sandwich with the side salad and it was very good. The waitress suggested a nice wheat beer to go with. And I thought, why don't we come here more often? It also was interesting because two women at the next table asked a ton of questions before they ordered. One was extremely fussy about how well her burger was done (had to slice into it, sent it back once). The other sent back her steak salad, after she had eaten quite a bit of it, and got a totally new one. The waitress was very patient and accommodating, but I thought the customers were wannabe foodies who thought they had to criticize every little thing. But.... maybe their experience was actually more typical of the quality here than mine because.... Today we went for lunch and it was a total disappointment. My friend's burger with bleu cheese and carmelized onions was very skimpy on the cheese and hardly any onions. My fish sandwich was served on a stale roll which was basically inedible, and the salad had a light dressing with no flavor whatsover, rather like they sprinkled a little oil on it and that was it. For those two items and two iced teas: $30! not including the tip. In hindsight, I wish I had complained because I think it's important that consumers speak up when it's warranted (although personally, I would never send anything back to the kitchen for a redo, paranoid person that I am). Having said that, they have a great deck on the river. We'll go back, but only to have drinks on the deck and maybe try an app (or maybe just drinks!). But I don't think we'll spend any more money on a meal here. There are many restaurants in Sheboygan with better food and lower prices. This restaurant is related to Stefanos/Field to Fork/Il Ritrovo, and, any of those (although also kind of pricey) would be better choices. And there are many others as well.
(2)Kev k.
Well done! how can any one pass this up. Great choice ! Not very English staff but still epic
(4)Nilu r.
We came here as a big group on a Sunday afternoon. There is outside seating overlooking the river, with big shade umbrellas and surprisingly comfortable wood benches. Our waitress was very warm and friendly, attentive without being annoying. They have lots of beer on their menu and I tried a lovely British wheat beer. We also ordered some sandwiches, oysters (fried), and curry fries for the table to share. The food was very tasty and the Midwest portions were just right for a big group to share. I would have given this place a 5 star review but the menu was limited to a lot of fried items and the sandwiches were very cheesy and hammy...I guess the above sentiment is redundant since we all know this was Sheboygan, Wisconsin. But still...I really liked this place, I would go back there next time we're in town.
(4)Alexandra B.
Cozy, beautiful, delicious and friendly! I love eating here...mussels (either the curry or the pesto) are AMAZING! Fish and chips are always spot on. Mushrooms on toast are my favorite appetizer...actually, whatever I have eaten here has been exceptional. Servers are knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating. Sitting outside on the deck, overlooking the river is about as good as it gets on a summer evening. Great beer selection. Get the Churchhill Crispy Chicken!!
(5)Dane S.
Great food! Absolutely love the Cottage Pie. Great beer selection. Some menu items are a little pricey, but for the most part this is a great place for a good beer and a delicious meal.
(4)Chris G.
Can't really speak to the food proper, but the curry fries are fabulous, the atmosphere is nice, the location is great, and the barstaff very friendly. A bit pricey for some maybe, but still a great place to grab a drink and some snacks.
(4)John H.
Awful service. Waited so long for somebody to come and take at least a drink order, we got up and left. And we weren't the only ones annoyed. Two adjacent tables were also pretty mad. Seeing how these others were treated, we left before becoming their next victims. Never again.
(1)Joan S.
Happened upon this place while exploring Sheboygan. Top notch service and my Duchess burger was excellent. Grilled perfectly. The side salad was not an after thought as in most restaurants; fresh, crisp greens with a light and tasty vinaigrette. Unique ambience with many photos and displays of British tchotchkes. If I lived in Shebogan, I would be a frequent guest at this establishment.
(5)Peter L.
Don't do it. Disappointed by the food at this place for the last time. Lobster and avocado salad - four pieces of tough lobster the size of a pencil eraser. one small cube of avocado. Fifteen dollars? Really? They do have some very good beers on tap and normally good service, but last time I was there I felt like I got raped as well. Just stop in for a belhaven - then go.
(2)Darlene L.
The food at this place really disappoints. It is fine for a beer while watching football. Had the chicken which was pan fried in a crust that was saturated with seasoning and served with gritty spinach and greasy potatoes. The meat pie with mashed potatoes covered in cheese was not much better. Service is very friendly and I know the specialty is "pub grub," but they should be able to combine beer and food with better results.Skip it if you are hungry.

Happened upon this place by accident while driving around downtown Sheboygan. The Duke of Devon is modeled after authentic English pubs, and is situated next to the water. They have an excellent selection of beers and ales along with a fantastic menu featuring adaptations of true British fare. I had the Fish & Chips platter, which is made with Haddock, rather than the cheaper Cod fish that is served in England. Fried to a luscious golden brown, the coating kept the fish inside moist and sweet. The chips were akin to steak fries, chunky pieces of potato with soft interiors and crispy exteriors. The dish also came with an English favourite, mashed peas. A few splashes of malt vinegar were all we needed to make the dish taste authentic. My dining companion had a special of the day, which was a beef curry over basmati rice. The beef was made more flavourful with the addition of sauteed spinach and a kicky hot pepper sauce. The other way that the Duke of Devon differs from pubs in England was a large bank of windows on the pub's east side. English pubs don't have windows and their woodwork is usually darker. I appreciated those windows and the view of the river and the pub's 24-seat outdoor dining area they afforded me. I felt the owner has also done an artful job of decorating. He's covered most of the pub's walls with an assortment of photographs, prints and framed quotations, all in true British style. You will get an eyeful of pictures of everyone from the Rolling Stones, to Princess Diana, to the Queen herself. I would have liked to have taken advantage of the outdoor seating, but sadly it was flurrying out while we were there. Our seat next to the window though, was very pleasant, and we had excellent service to boot. A definite must the next time you are in Sheboygan.

I think I ordered incorrectly!!! First off, we had the chips with curry sauce, these were excellent, especially with the malt vinegar drizzled all over the place. We were both looking forward to our entree "The Union Burger". A Grass Fed Burger patty with port reduced red onions and bacon (still sounds delicious) however it was disappointing. Not sure what it was missing or if the flavors didn't jive but for $13 you expect a perfectly crafted burger. I saw a bunch of other dishes going out to the tables which looked way better than what I got. Our waitress was very good and if I wasn't there for lunch it looks like a great spot for a beer. I hope to try this place again even though the menu is very difficult to find something that is appetizing.

My husband and I were visiting Sheboygan (from Ventura County, California), in May 2010, and we were just driving around taking in the sights and attempting to find a decent place to eat lunch and we got lucky when we decided upon the Duke of Devon. The waiter was great and since they did not have Guinness, he recommended a very good subsitute. Then he brought us the best bread ever. Our hot chicken (or turkey) sandwiches were also great. This visit was two months ago, but I have not forgotten what a great find this was. The location is right next to the water with a great view.
