Great diner- cash only- so worth the stop! Had brat burger and a steak sandwich. My husband said he's getting the double steak sandwich next time. Waitress was a doll! Added fries and cheese puffs- two drinks $16.00! Highly recommend the stop

Food is made quickly, but poorly. They only accept cash. My entire order was wrong and I waited for at least 10 minutes to get the staff's attention, even though they were all standing 10 feet away (including the owner) with their backs turned, ignoring the customers. My food was so sloppy and messy that when I picked it up, it all fell apart. When the waitress finally came over, she picked up my food with her bare hands and was touching and handling it in front of me, at the table. I left after paying $15 for a meal I couldn't eat. This is isn't just a one-time quick judgement either... I've lived in Sheboygan for 15 years and have eaten here multiple times, and every time I regret it. PS: Scott B., I probably am a douchebag, but I'm also a chef in a 5 star restaurant and spent the last 2 years working for Stefano Viglietti, so I'll disagree with you on your opinions about my taste.

Great brats, for those who may not know they come from Miesfelds. So do the steaks, these are called restaurant steaks. Shulz's uses a lot of salt on the meat and butters the bun generously so if you are not from Wisconsin, know that. Fries and rings are from a bag. Hi-Lo buns rock. Worth a stop in Sheboygan. But make it infrequent or have a cardiologist's card in your pocket.

The best restaurant in the entire world! I have made many a road trip up to this fantastic restaurant... By far THE best hole in the wall restaurant in the entire world!

When in Rome.... When in Sheboygan you better have a Sheboygan Hard Roll! If I really followed this rule I should have had a brat too! I had the classic diner meal. Cheeseburger, soup and a chocolate shake. Everything was very great. The burger was right up there with one of the best and of course it was on a Sheboygan Hard Roll. The place looks a little unassuming from the outside, but the food is very good.

Great place to go to for a quick bite to eat. There's a very homey, welcoming feel when you walk in and the staff is great. My coworkers and I came for lunch and I ordered the shaved barbecue pork sandwich with a side of cheese fries. The barbecue pork was great because most pulled pork sandwiches you have are usually drenched in sauce and pork is sliding out like the bun is on fire. The fries were great and I had one of the best root beer floats I've ever had. This place is definitely worth visiting again simply on the basis of trying out their cheese steak sandwich which my coworkers were raving about. Until next time Schulz's. Cheers. UPDATE: We went back the next day. Had a double cheese steak sandwich with lettuce, onions and mayo and it lived up to the hype. Go to Schulz's and get a steak sandwich.

Food wasn't fantastic, but it wasn't bad either. Service was definitely one of the worst I've had in years. Upon entering we seated ourselves and had to wait a little while for someone to greet us and take our orders. Our waitress an older lady only came to take our order and never came back to check on us. While we sat there eating for about 40 minutes she stood by the kitchen area looking around and talking to another employee. I did see her quickly go out to greet incoming customers as well as take their orders. Definitely a turn off especially for Mom and Pops places. Had the double cheese burger and it's better than fast food restaurants thats for sure. Husband had the steak burger and said it was ok. We also tried the cheese puffs the waitress recommended and it was pretty good. It's definitely a mom and pop restaurant and cash only. I don't know if I would try again.

OH HELL YES! This is why God made road trips. This nondescript boring little building on a curve in the road only attracted me due to the 1930's style art deco wall art. I stopped to take a picture and smelled the burgers. And the Lord smiled. I entered and found a classic old diner interior with crescent shaped counters and a gum chomping sweetheart of a waitress. Its cozy and inexpensive, but the food. OH THE FOOD. Grilled burgers that rank among the best I've ever had. EVER. Served in a wrapper with no grand accoutrement's, the meat is flavorful, char grilled perfection. Maybe it was unicorn meat? JUST FANTASTIC. Don't miss this delightful joint!

When I was a kid, going out to eat in the 1950's was a once-year birthday event. Schultz's (and Charcoal Inn) were our picks. LORDY, the buttery to-die-for burger tasty goodness is the same at Schultz's now that I'm back visiting, 40 years later. Unlike other parts of the country, the TRUE BURGER was, and still is, simply the bun, burger, pickles and grilled onions -- or "the works". None of that tomato and lettuce business. Of course, Sheboygan hardrolls of days past and present, still exist, (Johnston's bakery hardrolls are the best!) I hope they are around another 50 years. May 26 2013: Just read Sara O's negative review. Does not compute... This is a burger joint. There's nothing on the menu more than $6 as of 2012. How'd she spend $15 for one person? Says she's been there multiple times. Is she sure she has the right place? (Prices were so low, I tip at least 20% contrary to Sheboygan tipping custom at burger joints).

Absolutely love their cheese steak sandwich and cheese curds! This place is cozy and not updated by any means but that just adds to the charm. Food comes out in wax paper and is very speedy. Definitely a must when in Sheboygan!

My wife and I come to Sheboygan at least once a year to visit family, and Schulz's is a must-stop. This place is (and their steak sandwiches) are the jam. Go here.
