Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Our time at Linos was outstanding!!! The food was superb - caprese was fresh, lobster fettuccine was devine, and the tiramisu delectable!! The wine was also wonderful. However the best part of the night was Lino himself. Courteous, delightful, and a true gem, Lino knows how to run a fantastic restaurant!!! He treats his guests as family, showing pictures of his past and telling stories of growing up in Positano. Truly a gem of a man!!! Will be going back tomorrow night for another amazing meal!!

We were staying at the resort across the street and we're looking for a place to have a nice dinner. Italian? Why not. The manager/owner was very friendly and greeted you at the door, at your table, and on your way out. We thought the food would be just OK, given its convenient location. However, we found the food to be great. We ordered the calamari fritti, farfalle with gorgonzola cream sauce, and their seafood linguini. All came out amazing. Big portion sizes. Great flavor. Definitely recommended.

Nothing but wonderful things to say about this restaurant. Can't find fresher pasta, the fish was delicious, and the staff was gracious and efficient. You can't beat the views of Lake Michigan either! We'll definitely be back the next time we're visiting Wisconsin.

Love Love Love this place. Best Italian restaurant by far in WI. Family owned and run. The owner was a trip. Very animated. He went up to every table to make sure everyone was enjoying everything. Would recommend to all!

This restaurant is one of the best Italian restaurants I've ever eaten at. And that includes Little Italy in New York and The Hill in St. Louis. Our server Daniel is fabulous and make a meal extra special. Be sure to try their lobster fettuccine it will blow your mind. In the desert Coppa mascapone is to die for!

First time dinning at Lino's and we are in LOVE!!! My husband and I have dined at many of the highly rated restaurants in CHI Town and we would definitely with no hesitations give Lino's Italian Restaurant 5+ stars. If you are looking for an outstanding authentic Italian food this is the place to go. As we arrived, Lino's welcome was overwhelming. He warmly greeted us and made sure our request for a specific table/location was met. The restaurant ambiance was another treat. Beautifully put together and felt very welcoming. The servers were very tentative yet very swift and neat. Let's talk food now.. Everything we ordered bursts with unbelievable flavors we were enjoying every bite as we discover new flavors/aromas. AMAZING!!! We are definitely going back!!! Thanks Lino for your hospitality!! And bravo Marco (Lino's sun/chef) for a great talent. Cooking is an art and you sure WOWed us. Thank you!

This is a nice upscale Italian Restaurant which just happens to have excellent food and excellent service. It's situated just off of Lake Michigan. Because of its location you can arrive by car, bike, foot, or yacht. Somebody actually did pull up in a 55' motor yacht while we were dining. The meal started with a wonderful antipasti appetizer dish. The mushrooms, vegetables and meats were all delicious. When dinner arrived it was wonderful. I had the Rigatoni Salsiccia e funghi (Rigatoni with sausage and mushrooms). The pasta was perfect. After sampling the other dishes my party had, it's easy to give out five stars on this review. Consistently great food across several dishes.

Highly recommended!! Atmosphere was awesome!! From appetizer- thinly sliced tenderloin to main meal Lobster linguine & potobella pasta, very delicious . The staff was very friendly. What a memorable anniversary dinner! The view of the river with fishing boats & sailboats sailing down the river was beautiful at sunset. Just wish it was warmer to sit on the patio.

I wish ratings had a half star as this is better than 3 but not 4 so I will go with the 4 as I did have an outstanding dish. This was an interesting trip I took and we were looking for a good dinner with some friends we were with. Found this place on Yelp so we decided to give it a try. Lino was a very nice guy and we chatted about how he came to America. Everyone enjoyed their dinners and conversation. We have traveled extensively throughout Italy, I'm from Chicago, I love Boston's North End, and I frequently travel to NY. I personally had the best meal out of our group of four. I had the Chicken Milanese and it was fantastic. The pasta side was solid with a nice sweeter sauce. Our apps were decent basic stuff such as bruschetta. Wine selection was ok but a little pricey for what it was. The Chicken Milanese itself was outstanding and probably the best I have had. All other dishes were solid and enjoyable but the chicken was a standout best dish. I always find it interesting that you run into great food in all kinds of areas you would not expect it. From all the Italian places I have dined around the world who would have thought I would get the best Chicken Milanese in Schboygan Wisconsin. Then again you never know, the best Cannoli I have ever had was in a small Italian restaurant in Grand Cayman owned by an Irishman and a Sicilian. Get the Chicken Milanesse! When I do not know a place I go with the basics to avoid any major disappointments. Milanesse is usually a solid safe bet but on this occasion it turns out to be fantastic ;)

Best Italian restaurant in Sheboygan. We come here at least once every time we're in town! Lino, the owner is great entertainment -I highly recommend this place.

Lino is still a pleasure when we visit, and if you've heard that he's changed chefs and worried a bit (as I did), fear not! The food tastes just the same, which is to say, exceptional. The Tuscan bean soup with vegetables is always amazing. The house salad is quite good, and I finally had the chance to try the lobster pasta - phenomenal! Lino is as concerned about his wine as he is the quality of his food - and his wine list is extensive, having excellent wines by the glass as well. I just wanted to put this out there because, having learned his chef was going to leave, then that he moved to the Blind Horse (what a shocker - seriously!) I had to find out how the food was faring. Luckily, it is clearly fairing well in capable hands.

The food was amazing. The outside atmosphere on the river was great. The service was not the best but not the worst either. I would recommend it.

My friends live in Milwaukee and we rented a condo in the Sheboygan Harbor for a 50th BD celebration. Lino's restaurant was a high point of the weekend. Terrific service, food and attention from Lino who strived to make the evening special for my friend. You must try the Antipasto Misto Del Tavalo for a group appetizer. It's drizzled with Affiorato, extra virgin first press olive oil, imported exclusively from Italy by Lino for his restaurant is wonderful. The daily Gnocchi special with mushrooms lived up other reviewers comments and was truly the best we ever had. The veal bolognese is Lino's father's gold medal recipe and is amazing. It rivaled other bolognese I've had in Little Italy in the Inner Harbor of Baltimore. I will definitely return.

Good! But nothing exceptional. I had the lobster fettuccine. The pasta was perfectly prepared. The sauce was outstanding. But the lobster was poor quality. I'm not sure why, but I was expecting pieces of lobster and what I got was canned lump lobster. :( The owner and waitstaff were wonderful. Very friendly and accommodating to our large group.

Walked in at 5:30 on a Sunday with 5 adults and two kids. Host clearly didn't want us there acting put out that we didn't have a reservation (there were maybe three tables dining) and then noting that the only highchair in the place was already in use. We took our business down the street...

Friendly, intelligent service. Recommend the mussels appetizer and the rigatoni entree. Nice wine selection and good pours.

Arrogant, Maybe Discriminatory, we were asked to call ahead and make reservations for the next day, inspite of her looking up the reservation list and telling us of an open time............... Will never go there again ............. Go to Stefanno's - Great Food & Even Better Service.

Excellent food and great service. We were ate here two nights in a row while in town from Chicago. The restaurant was booked our 2nd night, but we got there early and Lino found us a table. Lasagna was very fresh, flavorful, and my husband loved the salmon. Will definitely come back when. In town!

Average all the way around. Average food, below average service, crappy wine list and so on. The location and views however, are spectacular! If you're out looking for a $100 rustic Italian meal, do yourself a favor and head back over the river and go to Stefano's. Its just not even comparable.

There is no way I'll ever step foot in an Olive Garden or Fazolli's after coming here. This is the most decadent Italian food I've ever had. I had a salad that was a mix of perfect greens, fruit, and cheese. As if that wasn't enough, the lasagna was amazing. I am struggling to find accurate words for just how great this food was. Our table shared a bottle of amazing wine that was a perfect compliment to the meal. The atmosphere is wonderful with a nice view and very attentive staff. The owners were there and even pour us more wine. Hands down this was the nicest and most exquisite place I've ever dined. FYI - I have young children and I would never bring them here. This is a place for adults that want to be pampered.

Ok, so I'm a loyal Yelper and I almost didn't even give Lino's a try because of the poor reviews on Yelp. That would have been a BIG MISTAKE! Lino's is an excellent, authentic Italian restaurant. The service was good, not exceptional, but definitely above average. The food was hand-made, seasoned perfectly, and delicious. My wife and I shared the Insalatta de Casa and it was wonderful. A very large portion and more than enough for two people. It was fresh, the dressing was Caesar-like and very good. I ordered a special, which was the Lobster fettuccine. The fettuccine was fresh, the Alfredo sauce was flavorful. The lobster was nice, but a little overdone for my taste. My wife had the lasagna, which was excellent. Great marinara sauce. Fresh pasta and a nice spicy Italian sausage. So, I would definitely come back here the next time that we are in Sheboygan.

This is the greatest atmosphere! Kudos to Lino and Therese for the terrific customer service and their staff for all the wonderful food! Definetly a must try!

Food is wonderful, views are nice but the service is the worst! We won't go back if we are in the area again.

It is sort of surreal to me how many really GOOD restaurants are in the Sheboygan area. Lino's is one of the best. The Anipasto is excellent, and a great choice (if you like it!). Another in our party ordered the Cappuccino and I wish I had - it also was excellent. I had (we all had!) the Caprice salad, and while tomatoes really weren't in season, these were perfect. A great balanced salad. Our entrees included the Gnocchi, the Rigatoni (sausage & tomato based sauce) , the Ribeye and the Whitefish Piccata (can't remember their names on the menu). All were good portions, passed around and everyone agreed they would order any of them in the future. Service was impeccable, and timing was spot on for everything. Lino came to the table, introduced himself, and personally asked about each of our meals. We will definitely be back!

Very, very nice Italian trattoria. The food was delicious, the wine list was good with several nice value oriented bottles, and the service was quite good. One of the best pappardelle con ragu I have had, and that is saying something!

Stayed at Blue Harbor and found this place by mistake since we had a poor dining experience at the resort's signature dining room - Latitude. Ate here two of our three nites in Sheboygan. Lino went out of his way to make us feel welcome. Bought us a complimentary antipasta and free shots of Limoncello on the way out. His veal scalopine is the best I have ever had. Sauce of marsala wine and porcini mushrooms - the BEST! The place was packed the two nites we were there which means Lino is doing a lot of things right. I highly recommend it.

You would think that a restaurant directly across from a family hotel and water park would cater a little to kids. We went there for dinner this weekend and found the hostess very rude. Our kids are extremely well behaved and eat at fine restaurants frequently. However, the look we got from the hostess was as if we asked to eat inside with our dog. Although we had a reservation, she disappeared for nearly 15 minutes and finally sat us (we could clearly see several tables available) They do not have a kids menu, so we ordered just pasta with butter for our kids to share. That turned out to be the most expensive thing on the menu. We were charged $21 for that item. I ordered risotto and was served rigatoni. They corrected the error and out came a very watery poorly cooked version of risotto. If visiting Sheboygan I would definitely avoid this place and visit any of the Stefano owned restaurants just on the other side of the river including: Field to Fork, Devons, or Tattoria.

My wife and I have been looking for a good Italian restaurant, so we made a 30 minute drive up I-43 to Lino in Sheboygan and it was well worth the trip. It was a Packers game night, so they were not too busy. The service was very good - our waiter Dan was helpful and attentive without being annoying. The owner was very friendly. The decor was very tasteful and not overdone. The food was delicious. I had the black Angus ribeye with balsamic glaze, which was cooked just right (I ordered it medium and that's exactly how it came) and very flavorful. The marinara sauce on the side of pasta was excellent. My wife had the ravioli and commented that it was some of the better ravioli she's ever had. The portion sizes were just right. We finished with the tiramisu for dessert and it was fabulous. We will be returning to Lino in the future without a doubt. The restaurant is not very large, so making a reservation is probably a good idea.

I have been visiting Sheboygan for over a year a few times per month. Once I discovered Lino's I make it a priority to have dinner there at least one night during my visit. The food is outstanding and the service, atmosphere and the personal attention is excellent.

Came here for my wife's birthday celebration. Everything was fantastic. Great food, attentive service, nice atmosphere. Highly recommend!

This restaurant is FABULOUS!! My BFF and I do an overnight once a year in Sheboygan. For the second year in a row, our night on the town was spent at Lino's. Know how they say, "You can't go back again?" Well!! They are wrong. Yes you can! We shared a Calamari Fritte appetizer and the evening's special salad, delicate baby greens with hand-made mozzarella, lightly dressed in a wonderful balsamic brew. Both were quite ample to share. THEN, 'cause I mean, "Hey!! We were celebrating our friendship!" We shared an absolutely delicious mushroom risotto. Wonderful arborio rice slow-cooked to perfection and deliciously seasoned. We didn't share our entre's, but we both had the same -- a ravioli with sage accents in a light cream sauce. The prices are reasonable. The service was excellent. The ambience is perfect. The view is lovely. Our wines were great value for the money. Our dinners were exceptional. The hosts, Lino & Therese, couldn't have been more gracious. And son, Marco, the chef, is a genius. (Forgive me if I've gotten his name wrong.)' Oh, and by the way, in case you're wondering! NO!! We are not related. Ha!
