Just because there aren't many current reviews of Shady Sues doesn't mean it's changed or gotten bad. Shady Sues is still the BEST! We dine here often and love everything about the experience!

Great food, great service. It's on the small side for both the restaurant and menu size. However, the food is worth it, particularly the ribs.

Just took our 4 kids to this little gem of a place we happened upon. The food was homemade and cooked to order. Homemade rye bread was delicious too. Hot wings were hand breaded and our 17 year old loved them. We had fish and it was great too. Highly recommended! Staff was friendly and attentive.

Went here the other night with my two nephews and we had a great meal. The highlight was probably the Grasshoper I had for dessert. We started with the fried cheese curds (cheese nuggets) and a friend of mine had the berry salad, which he loved. The crab cakes were also surprisingly good and went well with their famous Old Fashion. My sister even commended their twice baked potato, so I don't think you can go wrong. Service was also very good, even though we got there at the tail end of a rush. I would definitely recommend this place as a nice alternative to most of the North Woods' supper clubs.

Great food at a very reasonable price! My favorite thing to get is the Friday fish fry. The portions are big enough that I'm always able to bring a box home with me. Also, there is nice screened-in outdoor dining area. The best part of Shady Sue's is that during the warmer months, you can usually find an adorable old dog (I think it belongs to the owner) resting outside the door. Enjoy your visit to Shady Sue's!

Great food, great service, and the only place in the Northwoods with a great NZ Sauvignon Blanc. A little tough to find, but well worth it.BTW, the bourbon t'loin is excellent !

One of the few places in the northwoods that goes out on a limb with a more refined menu. Without a doubt worth a visit, especially if you are tired of the same old hamburger, mediocre steak, and fried food fare found throughout the northwoods.

A must Go, the bourbon flame tenderloin is the best stake iv ever had or close 2!! Huge portions, great people and a bartender (ted) who pours 1 heck of a good drink! O also the baby carrot balls are delish, baked french onion soup awesome and 2 really go all out wrap it all up with a grasshopper:) sue cooks most of the nights and is quite a fun character along with being a phenomenal chef

I was very happy with my several visit's to this little combo bar/restaurant. All the food is home-cooked and downright delicious. Steaks, fish, pasta's, sandwiches and dinner's all include a wonderful, fresh salad and bread/rolls. Nice dessert menu. The Friday night fish fry is superb! Their decor is "country-charming". NON-smokers...don't bother. Pick the 99 3/4% of the other area non-smoking places to go. There is NO non-smoking section...because it IS a bar/restaurant. For those who don't make a living bothering smokers you will be impressed. The staff is pleasant and fun and very professional and the prices are very reasonable.
