Came here in the recommendation of a complete stranger. When we are in the area we will have to stop back again. The Pan Fried Fishfry was great. Homemade fries and the fried bread top off the meal.

This bar is awesome. My extended family and I stopped in after a wonderful cross country ski at Nose Lake. Fabulous bloody mary's, definitely made with love, were enjoyed by all. We made several new friends. Will definitely be back for the Friday Night Fish Fry soon!

Pizza was awesome. Crust was nice and crispy! The 16" was enough to feed a small family. Bloody Mary with beef stick straw was off the chain. Great stop on your way to rhinelander!

You can get a great Wally Burger at the Pump in an interesting, cozy atmosphere . The Philly steak sandwich is good as is the Friday night fish fry.

We love the atmosphere at the Town Pump. Walking in, you feel like you are part of the family. Bartenders are always friendly and everything is a great value. The Friday night fish fry is the best in the Northwoods. There aren't many places outside of Texas where you are going to find Shiner Bock on tap. All in all it is a must stop when you are in Rhinelander.

An awesome, surprising find! Wow were we impressed by this Northwoods find. The atmosphere is rustic by tasteful, and the food was beyond good. The selections seem like typical WI bar fare by name only. The fries are handcut, the sweet potato fries are served with a sweet cinammon vanilla sour cream that is amazing. The pan fried cod on Friday nights is some of the best fish I have ever had, and I'm a seafood junky! It is lightly breaded with a subtle flavor and sweetness that is just fantastic. The philly steak was even great. The only selection to maybe avoid if you're from the Chicago area is the pizza- it sort of tasted on the frozen pizza side. They're also one of the surprisingly few places that have Point root beer on tap which my kdis love. The beer on tap could be more expansive. (BTW waitresses, it's summer shandy- not shanty! we went here more than once and every waitress we had said it wrong. :) Anyway, for the type of place it would 5 stars for sure if it weren't for the service. It is sooooo slow. I mean really slow. At least if the food is going to take that long to come out, the wait staff should make sure they come back frequently to ask if you want more drinks. So overall, the food will make you want to come here more than once, but prepare to be there a long time.
