Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

While I've never been to the brick and mortar Arandas, I haunt their south side "taco bus" like they parked it over my grave. Steak burrito, al pastor tacos, lengua tacos... All fantastic! The guys that run the bus are super nice, and clearly recognize me by now. They have good salsas, but lately I'm freaking for this spicy avocado creme that I would put on my hand, and start chewing, it's so damn good!!! They've got a bunch of other stuff, too, a lot of which I've never tried. I know they do tripe. Scary, but one of these days, I'll put my big boy pants on, and give 'er a whirl. One day they told me they had brains, but I had already ordered... Damn! Next time. See ya soon, taco bus!!!!

Per dollar, the best food in the country. I love this place. The tacos and tostadas are my favorite. The pastor is to die for. I went through a 6 month phase in which I ate here 2-3 times every week. The exterior is not very attractive, but it's actually pretty pleasant inside. The tacos will have you coming back over and over again. The green guacamole sauce that is served with the chips and salsa is amazing too. I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!

So a close friend and I were hanging out this day eating tacos from a local taco truck and I asked her what the name of the restaurant that which the truck belonged. She told me Arandas and that they had the best tacos ever. I was curious and had to look it up on Yelp and found about 3 locations within Southeast Wisconsin. Anyway, I ordered my usual, Carne Asada with all of the fixings. She ordered al Pastor and Carne Asada and we had heard that the Chicken Tacos were delicious as well. I enjoyed my Carne Asada, but they weren't as greasy as I would have liked. However, at the same time, they were very good tacos compared to many others that I've in the Milwaukee area. Since I had never had Tacos al Pastor, I thought it would be a good idea to try them at this taco truck since the food was pretty good. I even tried the Chicken Tacos. All I can say is that they both were DELICIOUS AND FULL OF FLAVOR. I am definitely a fan of this taqueria now and will be getting my tacos from them more often. My friend encouraged me to try the Horchata and I was hesitant at first because it did not have cinnamon. I thought it would be bland and really taste like rice milk, but I went ahead and tried it anyway. Man, it was the best Horchata EVER! It tasted like vanilla rice milk (if you can imagine what this would taste like). I liked it a lot and even more so than with cinnamon! All I can say now is that I highly recommend that you try the food at this taco truck and visit the restaurant and you won't be disappointed!

Yesterday found myself in Racine and wanted a taco. Saw three decent reviews on Google Maps for the food at Taqueria Arandas, and one review here. Sounded like my kind of place, so headed over. Now, I'll eat practically anything, anywhere. Love food trucks, out-of-the-way spots, holes-in-the-wall spots, greasy spoons. Have lived several years in South America and speak fluent Spanish. But when I pulled up in front of this place, I just thought "Uh-oh!!" This place looks terrible from the outside. First of all, the neighborhood looks pretty dicey. Not being from Racine, it was a bit hard to judge. That alone would not have bothered me too much. Added to the neighborhood, the restaurant itself does not even look open. If you approach it head-on, as I did, it looks boarded up and abandoned. Check out the photo of the front added by someone else and you'll agree. The doors are boarded up except for a tiny slice of window showing at the very top. On top of that, the sign at the top of the building looks like it was painted on by a 6-year-old, no kidding. The words didn't fit so the letters are all squished in at the end. I couldn't even see the lit-up "open" sign from the angle where I was parked. Decided to turn around and find a different restaurant. Sorry, Arandas, maybe your food is great but seriously, you need to work on the way the outside of your building looks. It is very scary and uninviting.

I've ate at many different mexican restaurant in milwaukee, racine and kenosha. Out of all the places, this restaurant has the best Mexican food. Dont judge it fron the outside. The building it's in is a 3 star at best, but the food makes up for it. If your looking for really good Mexican food this is it.
