What a little gem of a place on the north side of Racine! I come in here every time I'm in town to visit family. The staff is super friendly and the coffee and treats are excellent! Please come and support this local business, it's way better than Starbucks ;)

"THERE'S SOMETHING BEHIND THAT SMILE... ...and it's not the Mona Lisa." That's RIGHT, it's the fab-u-licious MOCHA LISA! CAMOUFLAGED Mocha Lisa sits proudly on the east side of 4 1/2 Mile Road in Racine, and if you aren't paying attention, you just might miss it! It looks like a charming wood clat-board sided farm house, because it was once a home that some savvy enterprising women converted into a warm, welcoming piece of local flavor. When you turn the corner, you'll see that Mocha Lisa has a large lot, so parking is convenient. THE COFFEE As an alternative to Starbucks, I've chosen Mocha Lisa as my hub to meet up with other reps in my line of work to take care of biz. While Mocha Lisa provides the privacy of separate rooms, with all of the comforts of home like rugs, blankets, and pictures, I didn't want to sacrifice taste in exchange for these accoutrements. The smart and sassy gals at Mocha Lisa did not let me down. They've satisfied my caffeine fix with fiercely prepared, full-flavored coffee-based beverages. Always piping hot as ordered, and always delicious. Want something a bit different, consult the baristas--the've got you covered! With the elbow grease of Rosie the Riveter and the business acumen of the shrewdest branding experts, these women have created a space that delivers a sharp, needed contrast to the large chain-style coffee franchises. THE BAKERY Mocha Lisa tempts your willpower with bakery cases jam-packed with all of your Alterra bakery favorites, and perhaps bakery from others that I did not recognize. There is always something different, so the novelty won't give you the chance to get bored. My recommendation would be to give in and have dessert, if not just this once. THE ART Americana. The walls of Mocha Lisa feature artwork from local artists, and you can purchase the pieces. Ah, Mona Lisa, Mocha Lisa--get it now? There is also a section of hand-made jewelry, and other crafts, candles, and cards. Need something to dress up your walls? Or how about a gift for a special friend? Whatever your reason for visiting this comfy, coffee destination, you'll feel right at home. Sit next to the aquarium, look at the artwork, or look out a window and enjoy the scenery in the yard. A MASTERPIECE FIVE COLORFUL STARS for the coffee shop with so much more. Mocha Lisa will "turn your frown upside-down!"

Very cute spot, friendly staff and Collectivo coffee and goodies, which is always a treat this far away from downtown. Cozy with lots of local art for sale on the walls and various gift type items for sale as well. My only complaint would be that other peoples conversations carry very well, the privacy/quiet factor is a little lacking. But overall, a nice little local coffee shop to hang out and catch up with friends.

As touch and go as the service was at Mocha Lisa, after moving to Minnesota I find myself missing this spot! Or maybe just the sunny porch.

Quaint place. Good coffee. My go to place when in town. Just wish the staff would seem not so snooty sometimes. I find there are a few older staff members I've encountered numerous times that are downright awful in building rapport and it's almost like their " too good" for you attitude. Yet when the regulars step in their attitudes completely change- they need to treat everyone like a repetitive customer! The younger workers have it right- friendly and kind- perhaps the manager and older employees should take note. I cringe on writing this review as the coffee is great but some of the staff make me want to give the place a lower star. But in spirit of the holidays I will give them a 4 in hopes their employees will catch the holiday bug and be happy and nice to each person that walks through the door! Maybe even this morning when I go there in a bit!

this is a great spot to get a spot of coffee, when you're in the five mile road wisconsin way. affectionately referred to as "the coffee shop" by my family, it was a treat to see this veritable house of coffee in person.
