I've been going to Coasters since my 21st birthday. Can't help but to love this bar. It has changed quite a bit over the last nine years. Coasters used to be a very slow bar, often you could go in there on a friday night and it would just be you and the same 15 people you see on a regular basis. This all changed when new owners took over (5 years ago, maybe?). They did a major renovation on the place, added food, built a smoking patio, remodeled the bathrooms (thank god, who doesn't love 3 stall ladies bathrooms!?) and redid the floors to all hardwood. The food is awesome and definitely attracted a larger crowd to the bar(great for the owners, kinda sucky for us regulars who liked the place quiet). Drinks are extremely fairly priced and so is the food. If you plan on eating there, you can't go wrong with whatever you choose. I have honestly tried just about everything they offer. The wings are awesome, I suggest boneless or grilled with extra sauce on the side. Oh, and a warning about the sauce: medium is not typical medium heat, medium is comparable to a normal HOT wing, so if you normally go for medium get the mild, trust me, and if you want hot go for the hot, you will not be disappointed. If you're not feeling adventurous go for any of the sandwiches, they're all great!

My hometown hangout. So I'm a little biased. Great staff, nice smoking deck, recent interior renovations stepped up the look and class of an old Racine classic. The new kitchen (2011?) is really a bonus, and has become a main attraction to the bar as of late. Really, honestly, I'm not kidding- everything's good: wings, burgers, apps... All solid bar food. My personal favorite is the Cubano sandwich. They paninize the sommabitch, and serve it with a chipotle mayo that rocks it out! The lizard eggs are insane, as well. It's a jalapeño popper, stuffed in a chicken breast, bacon-wrapped, and then deep fried. Insane! Mac & cheese bites, tacos, yadda yadda yadda... They have darts, and video crack, and pool, and pool leagues, and Brewer bus trips and all the normal bar stuff. Sometimes it turns into a werewolf at night, but that's our Coasters!

This was my first time at this establishment and IT WAS WONDERFUL!! I was in Racine visiting family we had gone to other place but this was by far the best!! I found their HUGE cups of Long Island drinks to be AMAZING and was only able to finish half of it. Their wings were VERY SPICY, and I love spicy, but I could not finish them because they were too HOT. I plan to return to Coasters when I come back to Racine and order both again!!

This used to be one of my main hangouts 10 years ago or so (I'm dating myself) but as I grew out of my early drinking years I found myself at other establishments in the area and kind of forgot about Coasters. My husband and I decided to try it out again last weekend. I'm glad we did! They serve food now, and they have a menu posted right on the wall behind the bar, which is nice! They also have 18 different Long Island ice teas. My husband had the Purple Dew and I had the Grape Ape. Both delicious and served in a huge red plastic cup for only $5! I assume this place is busy on weekend night but for a Sunday Funday afternoon it had just the right amount of people and service was excellent. We'll be back again soon.

An attractive looking bar that spent some dough t ensure it would to be confused with a dive. Good tile and strong oak back bar. They had a pretty decent menu for a Racine college bar. The drinks were decently priced and the place was not to bad if your i your twenties and living in this area.

After a few hours at North Beach, it's time to get out of the sun for a cold one. Coasters is just a few blocks away beckoning you as you walk back from the beach to come in for a cold draft and game of pool. Like Cliff's, friendly atmosphere...typical corner bar. No frills, no BS, just a comfortable corner bar. My only beef is that you cannot rent a Moose here. Gotta fix that! Just kidding. =)
