We live close by and have gone here many times (average of 5 times a month, at times, Over the past 10 years). Love the food. Happy hour offerings and prices are reasonable However, the service is terrible. Same waiters and waitresses for a few years, but iti is surprising they keep their jobs. They obviously don't like people, and always seem put off that you are there. They often get orders wrong, and don't come back to the table for a while. We will continue to go, but wanted to vent about the service. We have told management several times, but that hasn't seem to help.

The server that we had was awful. Forgot most of what we asked for and had to come to the table three times to clarify our order. My salmon was way over cooked and the potatoes were half raw. I'm not sure that we will go there again soon.

Okay, I generally try stay away from superlatives. Really I do. Long story kinda short. Here it is. Decent layover at a nearby hotel. Did not feel like walking to the nearby restaurants. Trolled yelp. Called and crossed my fingers. Ordered the salt and pepper shrimp and hot and sour soup. First, let me reiterate the promptness of their delivery time. But more importantly my dish was excellent. The portion was large , which hardly ever happens with shrimp, the veggies fresh and the rice was just right. I am a flight attendant and most of the times when on layovers I jdont expect much more than edible. Mediocrity is not only acceptable it is assumed. I was so pleasantly surprised that I called my hubby to tell him about my meal. As we live in Chicago and can't order a pizza for less than thirty dollars , we are always excited about my low food cost when in other cities. I did not feel it would be proper for me to give five stats for one visit. However I have Denver layovers next month and I intend on trying a few more items. I didn't care for the soup, but I feel as if soup is really subjective. This one was just not my style. I do however appreciate the container that it came in as I will be taking my leftover shrimp to work in it in the morning

Have dined here numerous times always great food and good service , great prices as well. Our server Jessica last night was great , very friendly and took care of us very well. She was outstanding

Their Sunday brunch is OK, the best part being the "custom made" omelette station. The quality and freshness of the other food can vary wildly. The worst part is that the restaurant is poorly designed for a buffet. I would rather eat at the Charcoal Grill in Kenosha.

Stopped in for lunch on a Friday based on the recommendation of a local. Place is big, open, and airy with high ceiling. My waitress Fallon, was great and helped me make my selection. She periodically checked in on me . Perfect service. I got the burger with Wisconsin cheddar cheese. It was good. I would order extra cheese next time. There is a salad bar to add your fixings. I would prefer they add it on the plate. The waffle fries were crispy and addictive. I also got a side salad which was very good. It had romaine lettuce, shredded carrots, croutons, cheese, and grape tomatoes. The dressing was served on the side without my asking- wonderful! I ordered the tropical ice tea which is brewed there and it was refreshing. I would order that again. Great drink! I'll be back. I want to try the pizza after seeing the hearth.

Been coming here for decades, all kinds of history, etc... Most people like the burgers. They're fine. Not really my taste, but yay. Few good sandwiches (the beef su jus, or turkey crunch), solid apps, soup, bread... I wanna talk about the pizza. Best in Racine. Yep. Best in Racine. Period. If you like authentic New York style slices, cooked in wood/coal ovens, then this is the closest our little burg comes. Try the classic white. It's perfect with a starting lineup app combo!

Went here last night for dinner. Plenty of open tables around 5pm on a Sunday. I ordered the filet with a baked potato. The steak was very dry and did not look appetizing at all. Did not have a very good taste to it either. I was hesitant to order the steak as the last couple I have ordered here weren't very good either. I won't make this mistake again. My kids did love their fish tacos and pizza. Our waitress was very attentive. I do love their fish fry, but this place hasn't been as good as it was a number of years ago.

I went here for brunch with my family. It was fantastic! For $10.95, you get omelettes made to order, along with freshly made (and delicious) breakfast pizza. I really loved the French toast and the pancakes were pretty tasty, too. There was a dessert table and I tried a chocolate brownie which was just OK.

We went here because another recommended restaurant wasn't open yet, new in town & loved the food! Decided to go back for Sunday brunch; again the food was delicious----more than you can eat for $10.95!! I would definetly go back & recommend it to others!!!

We used to have a Charcoal Grill on my side of town years ago but they closed. When I was out in Racine, I spotted this one and had to stop. CG has an extensive menu and good quality food. I love the burger bar where you can put all your own fixin's on - that's a nice touch and it was stocked, clean and fresh items. Nicely decorated. Service was great. Restaurant was clean. Reasonable prices.

I don't think colllege students would want to frequent such an overpriced hangout. Really? a five dollar Mike's Hard Lemonade? Maybe the bartender just "forgot" to give me change. I'd rather hang out at the Moose Lodge, you get plenty of value at the bar. If you enjoy dry pizza Charcoal Grill would be a good place to go. Considering I paid $15 I thought some of that could be used to get some sauce on a slice. Nice banquet room, but if people have to pay more than $10 for an appetizer buffet, pass it by! I like a quality bargain when I network, service and good food look elsewhere.

We went here for our rehearsal dinner the night before our wedding. We were in a group of about 30 people. I had given my reservation about 6 months in advance. I was told they put it in the book and I walked away. I called 1 month before to confirm and they couldn't find the reservation so I had to wait until they made sure they would still be able to fit us in the section we wanted for the day we wanted or if they could even fit us all in one area. About 5 minutes later they said we were good to go and that they had the reservations in the book. I was a little bit concerned because of what happened last time so I called the week of the event to make sure that everything was all set and was met with attitude. On the day of, they were not very attentive to us. We had to try 2 or 3 times to flag down one of our several waitresses (when they were over by us) before one would actually come to us. It was also very hot where we were sitting. We asked several times if they could turn the fans that were right above us on and each time they disregarded it. The food was mediocre at best. I don't know if i will come back to this place or not.

We went on Wednesday night of this week. We got some apps which came out fast, the downside was the bacon wrapped water chestnuts tasted freezer burned (bummer) as they are our favorites. The pizza and burgers came out next, nothing beats a wood fired pizza, my kids love them. My wife's sandwich was very nice and good sized for it's value. My burger came out over cooked I asked for medium rare and got a well done burger. I can look past that. But on my second bite I got a piece of paper or something similar to paper. The waitress got the manager who did not know what it was but got my a new burger cooked perfectly within 5 minutes. The waitress(sue) was on top of things from the start and was quick with the refills and timing of things. Easily the best part of the meal was her smile and her service.

Stopped in before a movie. I'm not a regular in that there Racine and there didn't appear to be many open options on a Sunday night. So...hats off to Charcoal Grill for accommodating my hungry group of 6. Server was almost overly friendly...Oh, you know the type. Personally, I prefer too much service rather than too little, but some of my dinner mates found him a little too, too much. I had a pulled rotisserie chicken sandwich, not bad at all. Or perhaps it was the several happy hour long island ice teas (served in a commemorative plastic cup)...Who's to say. I had a great time and that's important to me. Overall, I'd go back if I'm ever in the area on a Sunday...

Good place for a reasonably priced family sit down restaurant. This place also has a pretty big banquet hall with good food.

Charcoal Grill & Rotisserie is right. Whoa Molly did my family tear a whole in the bowl that held the rotisserie chicken! I on the other hand, emptied the french toast bowl. There were 2 different kinds of french toast! Then there was cinnamon compote, strawberries soaked in sugar, heavenly whipped cream, and apple topping along with syrup and jelly. I could top my pancakes, waffles, and french toast any imaginable way. I also loved the breakfast pizza! I tried the pasta, chorizo con huevos, cheese eggs, fruit, sausage, gravy, biscuits, bacon, country potatoes, bagels, and salad, too. To be honest, there were too many goodies to name. Oh, there was a made to order omelet station as well. For 10.95, you just can't beat this brunch. I didn't see mention of bottomless mimosas though ...

I would have to say this was one of my worst experiences ever being here. Usually the place is ok, but tonight was very different. First it started out with my appetizer, as wings saying they were tossed in sauce but had no sauce tossed with them. The waitress try to convince, me like I was some sort of idiot, that they were tossed in sauce, but clearly they were not. Second of all I ordered a hamburger without cheese, The hamburger came with cheese on it I have to send it back only to be brought back my same hamburger flipped over with the cheese taken off. Thirdly my girlfriend ordered a flat bread wi and they were supposed to be basil on it and the basil was not, put on it and all they did was bring it on the side. After all that my friend right across from me. They screwed up and drink that was supposed to be 3.95 and tried to charge him 6.95 there was no compensation for any of these mistakes I am very disappointed in the lack of compassion for the customers.

Our server was great, however the food was bland. Two of us ordered the roadhouse burger. Now, I looooove beef! It doesn't take much for me to love a burger! This, however, was seriously lacking in flavor compared to the description that had our mouths watering. Even the waffle fries were dry and flavorless. I'm not one to complain, and I always finish what is in front of me, however last night I just didn't even care to finish. What a disappointment! I gave it two stars only because our waitress was very attentive and friendly.

After eating at the Douglas Ave. location, we thought we would give this location a shot. We have driven past the building and always seen many cars in the parking lot. To insure little or no wait on a Friday evening, we made reservations for 2. It turned out that we didn't really need any, but might have had we set a later time. The place was packed inside and still, there were many tables. This place is big. I ordered the combination baby back ribs with the rotisserie chicken and waffle fries. My wife got the baby back ribs/salmon/mashed potatoes. Both meals were good. For as crowded as the restaurant was, the time it took for the food to get to the table was very good. The waitress was friendly. The beer needed to wash down the meal, good. We will be back ... haven't tried the pizza yet, at this location or the other one in Racine ... yet. Do not expect quiet in this building. It ranged from loud to louder to really, really loud!
