Thank you Yelp brethren. You score for me again. Coming back from the north woods. Wante stop to catch the Badgers - Buckeyes game. Found this place. Mean no disrespect, but with a name like Mikeys I did not expect what we found. Great cocktail list and of course Point and Oso beer. Pretty amazing menu reasonably priced. Having a Rosemary-honey gin drink. Very good. Apples n mushrooms in a interesting broth with green onion and goat cheese. Very accommodating service and excellent bartenders. Looking forward to the capellini with lobster, shrimp and scallops. Great place!

I've been close to 10 times and haven't been disappointed yet. Lots of selection to choose from on the menu and the beer list is almost just as long. I usually try to find any excuse to get over there if I am in the area.

Went there last night with my wife and mother. Ordered both types of salmon. The herb grilled was traditional and perfectly cooked. The honey berry sounded risky but also was delicious. The salmon itself was almost an inch thick, not the usual shingle filet you get at other restaurants. My mother always finds something to complain about but could only find fault with the potato soup which was hot on the bottom and cold on top. Don't know why, microwave reheat? Flavor however was superb. The waitress may have been new, did not know if shrimp on the salad was grilled or boiled. Thankfully it was grilled. Out of ahi on a Monday. Probably a good thing, I'm guessing they want fresh fish to be served seared to be on hand only on higher volume days. House salad has a blue cheese on it that has a great flavor and bite. I will be back.

Stopped here for late lunch early dinner Place is very clean... Nice decor Very clean restrooms Lounging area Few video slot machines Barmaid / server " Jen " was awesome !! Very knowledgable about their many different craft beers. Excellent advice on menu items we have never experienced Super friendly Even gave us suggestion of things to go do and see in the area ( this girl is the perfect example of what customer service should be !! ) Food was awesome !! Seasoned perfect served quickly and hot Curry Haddock is what I ordered after talking to Jen ... It was one of the best dishes I have had in a very long time Lemon pepper honey salmon is what hubby got. We both agreed that it's the best salmon we have ever had !! The bloody Mary's are not the best in town but boy they were good !! All in all we are so glad we decide to give this place a try .... Food was excellent and service was even better. Exceptional !! We may just have to return again before we leave town Located in a strip mall type shopping center... No truck and trailer parking but bobtail would work If you live in the area and haven't tried this place you are missing out.... Get over there

Great menu with a surprising number of options beyond bar food. Excellent food quality. The drink selection is strong and the atmosphere is really nice too.

This place is a must visit! 35 beers on tap...and right next to a brew house, if your looking for beer. Great music, lots of small sitting area, for groups. I was traveling for work and the hotel recommended MIKEYS. I actually ate here the night before, but could kick myself for not taking pictures of my dinner. I had ordered the Ahi Tuna...let me tell you! The steak itself was an inch & 1/2 thick and as big as my hand. It was served with rice and a fresh bunch of broccoli sprinkled with a parmesan cheese/ pepper! Tonight for dinner... I ordered the Shrimp ceviche app and the orange/ginger salmon special, again served with the rice and broccoli so delicious !! If your looking for good food, this is your place!

Great food, great beer selection! Bartender was very attentive and easy to talk to. Seafood, Italian, Burgers and Wings what more could you ask for. I was not expecting this quality of fresh food when I stopped on here. The only negative was a smell. I couldn't determine what it was. Everything appeared very clean, but it was a little musty.

Major Props to Mikeys! We had a training event for 30 people and realized at 11:35am nobody ordered lunch. I called them in a jam because they are right down the street from our office. Sure 'nuff they can accommodate and within 30 minutes, we had a variety of 16 pizzas. Kudos for helping me out in a pinch and they team loved the pizza. Thanks again. Plus I've eaten here before and have had their salads - they are delicious too.

Great atmosphere, great food, plenty of space to relax in. On the spendy side for drinks, but great service. Try the muscles in wine sauce. I didn't even like muscles before I had them here. Really tasty!!!!

Excellent food. The Rubin with apples is a must. The grilled panini sandwich is excellent. Lot of local brews on tap.

We went there for Valentine's Day and were impressed by the unique menu choices. They were out of the special holiday menu items but my husband and I were pleased with the size of the portions of our salmon and trout. The sweet potato fries were especially good! We did feel overdressed though in dress and tie. Its a pretty chill place but has a distinct atmosphere and our wait staff was friendly. Would recommend for a taste of somethig different than the standard pub fare.

This was my first time here and we came for lunch. I had a cup of scalloped potato ham soup and split a burger. Both were delicious and the burger was large and good for sharing for lunch. The fries are to die for. The prices are higher than normal bar food but worth it because it's so much better. The atmosphere is really laid back and service was good.

I'm from out of town and was looking for a place to watch the NFL season opener, it happened to be the Packers at Seattle. They have a nice bar with pool tables and TVs but I sat in the back which is more like a traditional dining area (But you can still see and hear the TVs). I ordered the New York Strip which is labeled on the menu as a house specialty. It comes with a vegetable dish (Steamed broccoli) and I chose roasted red potatoes and the Chipotle Turkey soup. The waitress warned me that the soup would be pretty spicy but I like that anyway. The soup was spicy like she said and it was amazing. The steak was properly cooked (Medium rare) and it was also great. The waitress was very friendly and the service was great.

Verges on a gastropub, which is what they seem to be aiming at. Forty beers on tap, about 25 of them Wisconsin brews. Very tasty selection. Helps to have a brewery right next door (literally). Most $4-6. The food is not your normal bar food. I had the bacon, pecan Gorgonzola pasta, my wife had a panini with sweet potato fried and they have a range of other eclectic choices. Blackberry Salmon? Most entres are $15-25 and there are sandwiches below that. Solid service every time I've been there. There are TVs near the bar, but we usually sit away from them and hardly notice.

Went on a Sunday afternoon for lunch, so it was fairly dead inside. However, it was a really comfortable atmosphere where you can enjoy drinks and conversation. Staff was very friendly and attentive to our needs. I ordered the Apple Reuben with fries. It was a great sandwich with a little twist from the norm. The fries are excellent. A great spot to get some good food and catch up.

Absolutely love this place!! Our go to for a nice night out. The seared Ahi Tuna is just phenomenal. Always done perfectly and the wasabi sauce alone is worth coming back again and again. The service cannot be beat; fast, attentive, and professional whether it be at the bar, wait staff, or hostess. One of the best bar/dining establishments in central Wisconsin.

Customers service was great... Fish was okay... It's looked great just didn't taste as good as it looked and the Tatar sauce wasn't very good.

Went here on a Wednesday night for dinner, they have a very wide selection of beers on tap, many local which is nice. Our waitress offered us different samples of beer to try. The menu had a nice selection, with unique options. I tried the Honey Berry Salmon, it was delicious. Definitely recommend!

Really solid place. A bit pricey but the food is really good; one of the few places with unique offerings in the area. Definitely not your typical central Wisconsin bar food. Staff have always been friendly. I've been here a few times and had a couple experiences where everything was fantastic and a couple where the food was good but not amazing and that's why Mikey's gets four stars instead of five.

Outstanding food. Nice atmosphere. Came here after the Oso brewery tour. Found it after searching Yelp. We had appetizers, soup and salad. Flavors perfectly blended and not over done. Very impressed. Will definitely come back again.

I read some reviews and thought I would give it a try. I typically don't eat at bar and grills but this isn't a typical bar and grill. In a nice sit down area away from the bar I found myself comfortable and well fed. I went with the Seafood Alfredo and loved it. Everything was cooked to perfection and the dish was full of flavor. My last couple of bouts with scallops at past establishments left me with little desire to have them again but they were fresh and well prepared. Service was good, no complaints here. Enjoy!!!

Mikey's is the best in our 'neighborhood bar & grill' category. I'm live halfway between Mikey's and another Stevens Point Favorite, the Hilltop. Of the two, Mikey's is my favorite. The food here is a level up. Mikey's is much less dependent on how things arrive from food suppliers like Sysco than the Hilltop. Mikey's dinner menu is eclectic. It includes many choices. If it doesn't have something to your liking, don't be afraid to ask for the lunch menu at dinner time. 39 beers on tap and only steps away from the O'so brewery tap house. Large family-friendly dining area. Friday fish fry rates 'ok'.

I recently came here to watch a Packer game while home for the holidays and was genuinely impressed. It's nice to see good old Plover/Stevens Point area have a place like this available. The atmosphere is comfortable, modern, and attractive while the service was just as warm. They have a substantial beer selection (30-40) of mostly Wisconsin beers, while serving up a nice twist on bar food and high-end options too. Their fried cheese curds made me feel right at home, while the Creole quesadilla was deliciously crafted - probably one of the best quesadillas I've had (and I lived in Texas for a while). Spicy sausage, jalapenos, peppers, black beans, wild rice and zesty chipotle sauce in a quesadilla - jambalya met quesadilla and fell in love. If you're looking for a neighborhood bar that has good food, good craft beer, plenty of TVs (they even have one in the bathroom mirror!), and isn't aged by 40 years of smoking then come to Mikey's and take a load off.

Great fish fry! The batter is seasoned deliciously and the potato salad is pretty good. What was most impressive was the incredibly friendly, courteous and efficient waitstaff. Although this place is a bit pricey, it's worth it for the great food and stellar service. We'll be back!

My husband and I just went here and it was delicious! At first we thought the menu was weird just because it had a lot of weird names and a lot of seafood. I had the bacon wrap and my husband had the chicken wings and it was awesome! We would definitely go back again! The service was good and the atmosphere was really neat. They have a lot of pool tables and TVs. I would recommend this place for sure!

Wonderful atmosphere, beer and drink menu, and food. The staff was cheerful, helpful, and enjoyed taking care of us. The steak was perfectly done. Try the Mikey's D'licious if you like a fruity drink, it is terrific!

I regularly travel for work and this is the perfect stop for a bite. I have tried a handful of the meals and what stands out most is the uniqueness of the menu and the freshness of the food. You can tell they cook with fresh ingredients, not frozen boxed stuff. Super flavorful. Although everything is good, I'm specifically impressed with the pasta dishes. The best I've had since moving from out East 6 years ago.

The food was spot on fantastic. If you are in the area go here for lunch and dinner and go often. The pork chop and NY Strip were perfect. The sauced cabbage is savory and yummy. Any place making their own biters knows what they are doing. Thanks for a fantastic lunch.

Good food. Very outside the box for middle WI. We were in town for a wedding and enjoyed eating here and playing pool.

I tried them thanks to their birthday coupon mailer. I had a pizza & their chips on the side. The pizza was delicious; the sauce was perfectly spiced & toppings very plentiful. But the real treat was their home chips; They look like salsa chips, but are super light & crisp without being sharp as broken glass (like most salsa chips). Great place for lunch or dinner.

Had the IPA Burger....was very good and probably worth the $10. The selection of beers is great (39 on tap). The atmosphere was slow but classy for Plover/Rapids/Point area which brings me to the thought that I am surprised this place has lasted as long as it has cuz none of those places spills "class". It's nice though to have a place like this in the area though.

Great Burgers, Awesome Fish and a great selection of beers. Service was a little slow but we had a group of 14 at 8 at night. I would go there again.

I went here for a few drinks on a recent girls night out (so this is just for the bar - not the grill). There is a nice set-up with a long bar along the far side of the establishment. I was a bit disappointed to get the last (half) glass of Spotted Cow they had on tap - but they gave it to me on the house, which I thought was a good gesture. Overall, a decent selection of beers on tap and other bottled alcohol and a full bar. The tap beer was a little pricey, but again, the atmosphere is little better than some of the other bar & grills in the area. There are a couple of pool tables set up between the bar/bar table area and the entrance/dining area. This is kind of awkward when walking through to the bar, but not too bad. Overall, a nicer (more grown-up) atmosphere than the downtown bars.

Went here with a few co-workers. Surprised at how cozy and relaxing this place is 'cause it's in the Plover strip mall. Food is good, price is fantastic. Our server was excellent, she was attentative. They had a live singer / band the evening we went. It's a little too loud for my taste, we couldn't hear each other talk. Definitely give this place a try. I'm heading back to try all the other things on the menu!

Excellent draft beer selection, order the slow roased braised pork shank with red potatoes, great meal , not your typical bar food. Also great value. Really nice place.

Atmosphere was a little weird. They had windows hanging from the ceiling, which I found ugly, and not at all classy. And $4 for a Leinie's tap?? Come on! Not Guinness or Bell's, or any kind of awesome microbrew, but Leinie's. And a small glass at that. No thanks, Mikey's, I'll go get ripped off somewhere else.

Huge menu, decent food, solid beer list, but a bit smokey. I went to this place with some colleagues after work due to its proximity to the hotel we were staying at. Steven's Point isn't exactly a food mecca so when we saw a non-chain grill/bar/restaurant we had to try it out. On a weekday evening the place was pretty desolate. We were seated in the non-smoking section, but at the end of the meal I had inhaled the equivalent of two second-hand cigarettes. We wanted to watch the game so they seated us near one of the flat screens, which were much more concentrated around the bar area than the rest of the restaurant. They had a few micro brews, some local drafts, and a decent bottle list on the beer menu. The food menu is actually pretty gigantic for a bar/grill type restaurant - they have an entire page dedicated to fish entrees. I'm a sucker for cajun food so I went with the "Louisian" which was kind of like Jumbalaya dish with penne pasta, black beans, sausage, and a creamy tomato-ey sauce. It looked so good that everyone at my table ordered it and everyone equally enjoyed it. The service was great (although this wasn't surprising given the number of patrons), the prices were completely reasonable, and the food was pretty solid for a random strip-mall Steven's Point restaurant. Definitely worth a try!
