When we're hungry for nachos in our house, we say "Welcome to Mo's!" Both of us being chefs we of course doctor it up when we get home but the reason we return time after time is for Kristina, who gets a gold star in our book for customer service. She remembers us and our orders, is friendly, and professional everytime all while helping other staff members and keeping things rolling.

Moe's is like if Chipotle and Qdoba had a kid, and the kid grew up with the basic knowledge of what it is supposed to be, but without actually figuring out what is needed. The steak wasn't as good as Chipotle, nor were the chips, the Queso isn't as good as Qdoba, and the price wasn't good enough to offset the lack luster quality or quantity as these are much smaller than the competitors.

I thought I'd try it again. The meat was dry (chicken and steak), the ground beef I could have made better at home. It was a bit pricey. Other than the queso..(yummy), it' not worth the trip! A couple employees were very rude when I first walked in and for visiting within the first half hour they were open and the floors and tables were filthy. No. Sorry, but never again.

Love it. "Welcome to Moe's". Food is good. Free kids meals on Sundays. Games are on, beer.

I will always have a special place in my heart for Moe's. It was my favorite place for cheap Mexican food throughout my teenage years, and I've had so many good times there. That being said, understand that my emotions might come into play when rating Moe's Southwest Grill. :) First things first, take it for what it is. It's a Mexican fast food place. Don't expect to get real, authentic Mexican food. It's going to be an Americanized taco. But I personally think it's much better than Qdoba or Chipotle. Why? 1. The people are very friendly - usually just a bunch of high school kids working and having a good time. 2. They have AMAZING salsa! Their salsas have won awards, and it is SELF SERVE. 3. They have one of those awesome Coke machines with like 100 different flavors of drink. Whenever I see one of those, a restaurant gets an extra half a star. 4. Everything is fresh and the establishment is usually very clean. 5. Free refills on chips, and your taco actually comes with chips. What is up with not getting chips with ANYTHING at Qdoba unless you pay an extra two bucks on top of their already overpriced tacos? If you're in the area and craving some nachos (burrito, taco, etc.) Moe's is worth your time!

Very tasty, but less coupons/deals under the new ownership. Big portions but a little pricey for what it is.

With all of the mega burrito competition on the market, you would think they would play by the rules. They do some things way better than the other places (free chips, salsa bar, pick your toppings, nice environment), but fall short in other places. The burrito was maybe half the size of a Q or Chipotle burrito, but oddly enough, the bill was higher. Stop if you are in the mood for decent boutique fast food, but don't expect a burrito the size of your head

Very friendly staff serving made-to-order Tex-Mex style food. I like that you can get your food exactly the way you want and that the ingredients are fresh. Great options if you are eating vegetarian, as well.

Welcome to Moe's! When I was driving past my tummy rumbled for tex-mex in a hurry. I completely forgot that I had seen this franchise on undercover boss until I walked in. Moe's is a good, quick tex-mex eatery on same order as a qdoba or pancheros. Ingredients are fresh and you can experiment a bit with flavors such as the pineapple salsa. Inexpensive and fresh food no mystery ingredients. Free wifi.

"Welcome to Moe's Pewaukee, where the scoop is more important than the customer" IF YOU HAVE NEVER BEEN TO A MOE'S BEFORE: DO NOT GO HERE! I have been to at least 5 other Moe's locations which blow this one out of the water, for a variety of reasons. Please do not judge all Moe's by this one, you could miss out on a really good meal at another Moe's location. I suggested Moe's for dinner, what a huge mistake! How would you feel if you talk someone into going to Moe's & then having it be the worst experience ever? Horrible! At least, that's how I feel now.... I ordered the Billy Barou Nachos, I chose chicken as my protein, and my scoops of chicken were so skimpy that if you added them together, they would have equaled one scoop! On the plus side she did give me the extra jalapeños that I asked for on top of my nachos. Another item in our order, was a Homewrecker Burrito with double steak, and the burrito was a lot smaller than usual. I remember I used to get a burrito at Moe's before I discovered their nachos, and I recall only being able to eat half. If you have been to Moe's before, you know their burritos are big & filling, not so anymore, at least, not in Pewaukee! I have never ordered mine with double meat, but this burrito should be a bit bigger than I remember eating, and yet it looked like one of their child sized mini burritos! We didn't see this until we sat down, and unwrapped everything, and by then it was around 7 pm and starting to get crowded, so we decided to just eat, especially since it was evident that these girls just cannot handle stress and a small crowd. Incidentally, all of this was all packaged to-go, even though I had said I wanted the nachos packed to go because I never finish them, I did clearly say that we were going to eat there. If these girls cannot handle a line of like 5-6 people, then perhaps they should look for a calmer & slower place to work. Also, you can get beans & rice in your burrito, or you can have it on the side, which is the way we ordered it, and yet the rice was literally 2 bites in the tiniest plastic containers that you can use to take home salsa. Moe's usually puts the beans and rice into the small size containers, how do we know this to be true? For the simple fact that for the 7 years we have frequented various Moe's locations and this is how we have placed this order. We also ordered a cup of queso, and when we sat down the bag of chips was less than half-full, no just no. The girl who rang us up did say, if we need more chips to go with our queso, we could just ask for more, so of course I did, and that bag was a little bit fuller (packaged by a different girl I might add). The ONLY reason we even paid, stayed & ate there, was because we had driven from Greenfield, and were both very hungry. I am pretty assertive, and normally I would speak up right away, but everyone working there tonight seemed stressed, young, and clueless to be honest. Consistency is key! Portion size matters! The Managers, and/or Owner(s) need to re-train every person, because tonight was just a horrible experience, the only plus side is that the dinner was under $30, so we aren't out too much money for our disappointing experience. Next time we will choose more wisely. Some people toss around the word 'never' on a whim, when I say never, I mean never: We will never go back to this Moe's, and I suggest if you're on Yelp looking for a great place to go for similar style food, go anywhere but here!

How does Moe's compare to the 2 other burrito joints in town? I was on a mission to find out. I first have to note that you can see this place clearly from the road, but you have to cut through an alley and loop around a bank to get to the front door (very strange). As I walked through the doors, there is a large screen TV playing the Packer game. The staff yells out, "welcome to Moe's!" I had to study the menu, because it was confusing. I picked the home wrecker, which is a big burrito, just like every other burrito joint has, only it costs about 2 bucks more. As a protein, they offer tofu seasoned with Mexican spice. I had to try that! They build the burrito in a service line, right before your eyes, but they offer a wide variety of toppings. I love black olives and they have them! In addition to burritos, they have the other standards and then some, not so standard items. One non standard item was a tostada wrapped in a large tortilla, that is sealed shut with beans and a grill press. We ordered white queso dip, which was really tasty. To kind of justify the high prices, each customer receives their food in a basket with a free side of chips. If you take your basket back up to the counter, they will give a chip refill. There is a small salsa bar that is just one of the perks, as well. The cookies were really good. Overall, the price was high and the menu was confusing and the food was okay, with the queso dip as the silver lining.

I am a fan of Moes food but word of warning! My last experience there today at lunch with an employee by the name of "Kevin" (tall, thin, light red/blonde hair & mustache) who built my taco salad was sarcastic and acted like a wise guy and offended when I asked for particular toppings at a "build your own" kindof bar. He stated "you want to come back here and build it yourself?" I couldn't believe it. At that time he then proceded to overcharge me for the salad. I asked for an extra scoop of sour cream instead of gucamole and he told the checkout girl to overcharge me for the Sour cream. She stated"I've never charged anyone extra for sour cream". He stated :just do it". I eat at Moes regularly and was very disappointed at his behavior and the additional cost. I should've left then but was entertaining guests and didn't want to make a scene. One bad experience can really ruin a meal. Next time I'm there...if Kevin's behind the counter, I'll either walk out or ask for someone else to help me.

Moe's is good if you eat it right away. I placed an order online a couple times and the food was pretty cold when I picked it up. I like that they have a burrito that comes with guacamole - most places I've been to charge extra. Their nacho cheese is really good, and they have free chips and salsa, but the salsa is just okay.

Moe's is OK... If there were a Qdoba and Chipotle next door, Moe's would be my third choice, but as there are not, I sometimes go to Moe's. Your burrito is a very personal thing, and once you forge a relationship with your burrito provider, it can be hard to switch it up. That said, Moe's is good, and if I had never been to Qdoba and Chipotle, I'd probably say Moe's is awesome! One place where Moe's beats the other is that they give you free chips, and a self-serve salsa... that's right, as much salsa as you want! So hey, that's pretty cool... But again, if they built a Qdoba or Chipotle nearby, I don't know that I'd ever go to Moe's again.

This is a great casual, friendly place. The food is very good (similar to other well known franchises) and the people are fantastic. Theowners are very involved in the community and support it in many ways car washes, fund raisers, and working with other local businesses. They always have lots of TVs on so you can watch sports or whatever. You can get a beer with your meal or snack. The chips are always fresh and sometimes it is great to stop by for nachos and a beer with friends as well as getting a quick meal.

Welcome to Moes! That's what they say, usually yell, when you come in the door. Moes is similar to the more known Qdoba and Chipotle franchises, but it is my first choice. Same concept (cafeteria style), but as the full name suggests, it is less mexican food and more Southwestern. The Billy Barou (nachos) is my favoritre but better suited for two people. They have several choices of meat/base for your taco, burrito, etc. Ground beef, Steak, Chicken, Buffalo Chicken, Port, Tofu, etc. My favorite is the fish that they have during Lent. The fish taco is different and way better than any other fish taco I have every had. The fish is flaked or shredded if you will rather than a big hunk of fillet. I even get the fish in my burrito sometimes. The portions are huge and the different salsas at the serve yourself salsa bar are great. I like to mix the green one with one of the regular chunkier salsas. They also have beer and blended margaritas with great specials during Brewer, Packer, or Badger games! You can not go wrong with Moes!

Good, cheap fast food mexican. The dishes have funky names. 2 large screen TV sets are usually set to sports channels and 70's music like Hendrix is usually playing. Good, cheap, and fast are the key words words to describe Moe's.

I was in a hurry and had to run to Costco down the street during lunch and needed something to eat. I figured Moe's was close by and I could get a salad before having to get back to work. I should have turned around when they all screamed welcome to Moe's when I walked in the door. The salad was super disappointing. The lettuce was not very fresh and the steak was super tough. Bacon on the salad was extra for some bits of bacon. I don't know about their burritos, but would not recommend the salad at all. Not worth the $9.00 at all!

Moe's has awesome burritos. Grandma's cooking taste! Way more unique than Qdoba or Chipotle! It is also great to go if you are into sports! There are lots of TV's, and each one has a different game playing!

Geez, there is just nothing Mexican about this place. Cheese, meat, beans, tomato, lettuce, tortilla. Mix. Make restaurant. Call it Moe's.

I've been to Moe's 4 times. The food is pretty good, it is a step-up from Qdoba or Chipotle, with a lot more choices for customizing (e.g. fresh jalapenos, grilled mushrooms, grilled onions, etc...) That being said, this place is disgusting. My family visited and the floor was coated with food everywhere, and half of the tables were not even remotely clean. If they don't care or are unable to keep the restaurant clean, it's probably an indicator of the management and cleanliness of the entire restaurant.. I would also add, that there are "regulars" there who sit at tables watching sports and drinking beer. Likely the last time we'll visit--it was not impressive.

An awesome place for a casual meal with friends and family. Way more economical than Qdoba types. Great food and an owner who's committed to the local community.

It was okay. Not great, not even good. Just okay. The two other people I was with, who ate nachos and a beef burrito bowl (or "earmuff"), shared my opinion. I also took a bite of wayyyy overseasoned chicken in my burrito bowl. Blech! Practically gagged. The guacamole, however, is good.

terrible. food is undercooked, service is awful, and the price is higher than qdoba or chipotle. do not go.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
