We arrived just as the restaurant opened - only ones inside. The restaurant was very clean with nice views of the water. We sat at the bar and had great service. Another server even joined in our friendly banter and discussions of the badger game and food/menu. We ordered the cheese curd burger, loaded nachos, and bloody mary bar. Everything was wonderful, except the shoestring fries were a little over done. Otherwise, for the price and atmosphere, good food and friendly service.

The service at this place is forgettable. We docked our boat and sat out in the patio. No one came to help us for several minutes, despite several servers servicing other tables. We were told the restaurant closed at eight despite what their hours online said, so a different waiter was sent over to see if it was okay to serve us a drink. He then told us the restaurant closed at nine. Who knows but clearly it was going to be whatever time they decided. :P Drinks were what you'd expect from a place like that. Went across the river to Beckets for much better service, drinks, and surprise - food!

Was there fun and relax in!! It was a great place and great food there, we had Meat Lovers pizza it was good, also Wisconsin Cheese Curds and i had a kitty cattail and my mom had '' not your father's root beer''.!!! Had fun and watch a concert my friend and amazing country singer Brandon Maddox!!! My aunt and uncle come with us.!!! Maybe next time my friends and family will show at the concert.!?!! I recommend this place!!! First time we have been there!!!

At 6pm on a Friday, the restaurant was practically deserted. This should have been our first clue that perhaps we should have gone elsewhere for dinner... Overall, the food was decent -- about what you'd expect for a place like this, and really not terrible at all. My club was good, and the tavern chips (potatoes, sweet potatoes, and beets, of all things) were the highlight of the plate. The shoestring fries were fine, but nothing special, and they sure gave us a lot! However, the service was what killed it for me. We were on a bit of schedule, since we had tickets for a show at 7:30, and watching our waitress dilly-dally around the mostly empty restaurant drove us all nuts! Drink orders took a loooong time to come out (and it's not like there's any seat that far from the bar), and though one member of our party wanted dessert, we were sufficiently strapped for time at that point that we took a pass and tried to pay and leave as quickly as possible. None of us could figure out what the deal was with the slow service, and honestly, I don't want to go back and see if she was just having a bad night. With only about 8 occupied tables and something like 4 servers milling around, I just don't get it. Moral of the story, decent bar food, but don't come here in any kind of hurry.

All around pretty great experience here! Our drinks came quick considering it was a full patio at 6pm on a Friday, and they were pretty tasty too. Our food was half and half for us, the jerk chicken sandwich wasn't very impressive (not enough spice) but the chicken nachos were the best nachos I've ever had. Perfect spice on the chicken, perfect amount of cheese, just amazing honestly. And not that the music talent for the night has anything to do with the restaurant, but we were impressed with the singer for that night as well. Great evening!

Love the Walleye Fingers, lots of them fresh crispy and fries were great! However and this seems to happen a lot here, very Slow to get service and even much slower for food to be served after order is placed. This was a Wednesday only a total of 6 people in the entire place no one outside. Glad the food was good enough that we will go back and give it another chance. Maybe it's a sign when most places around Oshkosh are packed on a Wednesday night!

Fun atmosphere to relax in. During the summer they offer a large deck with lots of outdoor seating and outside bar. They periodically have bands and entertainment to enjoy while having a great meal or some drinks by the river. The menu changes with the seasons and normally has all around good selection.

I had been here several times previous, service was adequate and food was the same. Since it is on the lake it has been a good casual place for me to bring my company. Poor service, slow, waitress was poorly trained. Med rare was medium well & the replacement was well done. Desert came without everything the description said it would have and when we enquired why she answered "oh, we are out of..." She did not tell us before hand so we could change or order. When we asked to speak to the manager her face looked terrified, We watched her approach him with trepidation & fear. The manager had spent this evening sitting at a table on a laptop, in the restaurant for all to see. When our waitress told him we wanted to speak with him, he did not look up at her or acknowledge her at all. She spoke, he kept looking at his laptop, she stood there in silence and eventually walked away looking confused. He came to our table 6 1/2 minutes later (we counted) and was rude, surly and annoyed. Not a good eating experience all around. I will not return.

We came to Oshkosh from Chicago for the air show and chose Docside Tavern for the reviews and atmosphere. When we called to make reservations they told my Husband they had a fish fry and considering it was Friday we were very excited. When we got there we found out that everyday is a fish fry. Our service was impeccable! We ordered Bambam shrimp for appetizer and it was delicious. The dinner part we were unhappy about. We had the Bambam burger and perch dinners. The flavor of the bam bam buurger was delicious but I was disappointed with the size of the meat in the burger, it was thin like a patty you buy at the store. Perch dinner was ordered by 5 people, the sweet potato fries are phenomenal, but the perch was super greasy and the batter wasnt crispy. Most of our group didn't finish their plate because they were unahppy.

A great place to eat, relax and enjoy a WI summer afternoon/evening. Stumbled across this place and so glad we did. The service and quality of food were excellent.

Nice outside area. Drinks were good. Food was not good at all. Homemade chips were burnt. The fish was greasy and grey. French fries were not good either. I would go again for a drink.....but never for the food.
