Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

I have never had bad service at Olive Garden. Seems to always have a wait time. Other then that it is a great place food is great. Drinks are wonderful, but a bit pricey. Still great.

We had an excellent experience. Jordan had a wonderful personality along with being an efficient waiter. The only downfall was a little extra wait time for the entrees, but everything else was perfect. The portion size was super, and the food was delicious. Great job, Olive Garden!

This place just screams amateur hour. Food, staff, ambiance -- the whole shebang. It's interesting because the Outback down the road has a very different vibe and seems to have its act together. My daughter loves Olive Garden, so we're here more than I'd like. But I always get the same impression.

I have had 2 bad experienced in a row now at this place. The first time I went there we had the $25 dinner for 2 deal. Both my fiancé and I ordered the same thing and there was a problem with each item. the chicken dumpling soup we order had no dumpling or chicken in it at all. The main course was the seafood alfredo. There was only 2 little shrimp in my whole dish, while my fiancé had to of had about 30. When the dessert finally came after having to wait for 20 minutes it was frozen solid. we had to send it back and then we received what was clearly just a microwaved version of the same thing. The second time we were there, and probably the last. the server left the bill and money from the people before us on our table for half the meal, which we pointed out to multiple staff members who just ignored us. At least the food was better that time, but we did have to wait about 45 minutes just to get our drinks. I left infuriated.

Leave it to me to write a review for Olive Garden. I came here on a business trip mainly because of its proximity to my hotel (they shared a street sign) and my utter exhaustion and lack of motivation to hunt down anything further. I had the opportunity to both sit at the bar and enjoy a glass of wine while reading my book and also sitting down to dinner. Service at the bar and my table were both great - friendly and attentive. I didn't need more. The staff at the hostess stand weren't as sharp and had an overall disinterested vibe about them but honestly, I didn't care. I got to both my bar stool and my table with little trouble. Everyone knows what the OG has to offer - heavy pasta dishes, unlimited salad and bread sticks, etc. I was eating late and didn't want anything too crazy so I went out on a limb and ordered the parmesan crusted tilapia. It was really good! It came along with angel hair pasta with zucchini and squash and all that paired with the obligatory salad and bread sticks made for a really enjoyable, comforting dinner while away from home. My server was attentive but didn't rush me (as some do when you are eating alone) and also hooked me up with a mini dessert to take back to my room. All told - a nice experience. I know I am not going to run to my local OG when I am looking to go out while home but I would recommend visiting this location if you happen to be in the area and especially if you are staying at the Holiday Inn Express right next door!

Olive Garden is really only good for lunch when there for their soup, salad, breadstick deal. However, the food here is really expensive for it not being anything close to fresh, like every chain restaurant. Went there for dinner the other night and one of our meals was 15.99 for chicken and potatoes. Sticking to going there only for lunch.

The Olive Garden. Wow. After a couple visits we've learned to ONLY go there for the soup and salad lunch special. The food is ridiculously heavy and fatty, and overpriced for the quality. The staff needs to back the heck off. I don't need a new BFF when I go for dinner, really, and when I say, "no thank you" to desert after I couldn't finish 3/4 of the meal, take my word for it. Ciatti's down the road has better food, and a better atmosphere.

We had the special 2 for $25. It was a great deal! The breadsticks and salad were great, and all-you-can-eat. The appetizer and eggplant were also good. It was a nice date with my wife.

This could possibly be the worst Italian dinner I've ever had. I will first start out by saying I have never been to an olive garden, so this review might represent this location or all of them. I know its not fine dining, but I would also expect a lot more from such a large company with so many locations. The first thing that shocked me was the their clientele. Every table had at least one guy wearing tennis shoes, denim shorts, t-shirts and a baseball cap. I was taught at six years old to take your hat off inside a restaurant. One man was actually. wearing a red tank top. No one wants to look at your arm pits while they eat. This of course is not the restaurant's fault, but still will keep me from going to another one. Also, this is nothing to do with snobbery, but just a total lack of manners in the average American these days. Most of the women were dressed appropriately, so good job ladies, you need to dress your men. The wait staff was very friendly and professional. Though they did not know the menu very well. They were not very helpful with wines and couldnt answer questions about what was in certain items. Their great attitude and service did compensate for their lack of knowledge so I still tipped well. The food was horrible. Who cares about included salad and breadsticks if they don't taste good. I would rather pay for these items if it helped improve the flavor. The salad was a little better than an average iceburg lettuce salad but still boring. A spring mix would work much better and have more flavor. The breadsticks were hard and salty. They tasted like any other store bought bread that was stuck in an oven. I think bread should be made onsite and served that day only. They tasted frozen and weeks old. Just lazy for a restaurant. I ordered the eggplant parmesan. It looked like it had been sitting in the window for ten minutes. The cheese was barely melted on the eggplant. The dish had water that had seperated from the pasta or sauce that completely softened the breading on the eggplant. When you cut into fried food you want that crisp sound, anything else is disappointing. The pasta was bloated and soft. Perfect for senior citizens, but horrible for anyone who actually likes Italian food. The reason I have never gone to an olive garden was confirmed by actually going to one (or being forced to by the person I was with). Its boring and bland. I've been fortunate to live in cities that always had at least ten great local restaurants. Places that had chefs instead of cooks. Having just moved to La Crosse I will be on the hunt for Italian food worth paying for.
