Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Been here three times now , great authentic food. It can be real hard to find decent Mexican food in central Wisconsin, but I found it.

Very good authentic Mexican food at very reasonable prices! Wait staff was friendly and professional!

This place is, by far, my favorite restaurant in the area. The waiters are all extremely friendly, the service is fast, and the food is absolutely amazing. Recommendations? The fish tacos or the Quesadilla Hawaiian. Both are delicious and filling. And the massive margaritas? The best in Waupaca County. For an email extra special time, stop in and watch a futbol match with these guys. It's so much fun, plus drink specials!

Docked a little the way and walked over as a change from Fremont while staying on the Wolf River. So glad we did! The drinks were good, the portions were awesome, the prices reasonable, and the food was outstanding. My only complaint is that I have a full belly and a long boat ride back to camp. We will definitely have to visit again. To showcase the food a little, I had wayyyy to many chips and salsa. Incredible! My husband is weird and doesn't like guacamole so I helped myself to some extra - soooo worth the extra belt size! I had a chimichanga and it was so incredible. I was a little sad that they didn't do shrimp as an upcharge for the lunch special but it just gives me something to look forward to next time. Rice was perfect (too many times I've had dry rice that's only good for flicking at people). If you're in the New London area, make sure you stop! It's so worth it!

We used Yelp to find a place to eat on our way through New London and picked El Tequila to try. We honestly didn't expect much with how small New London is but we were pleasantly surprised. The staff was friendly, the atmosphere was typical of a Mexican restaurant, the food came fast and was good! If we were going through another day and hungry again we would stop without hesitation.

I must have went on a bad night. The food was bland (to put it kindly) the service was poor (again putting it kindly) between literally throwing things on the table, not warning about an excessively hot plate, and no call back....I couldn't in all good conscience recommend this restaurant.

Yumm, this place was excellent. All the food taste very fresh and was seasoned perfectly. Before I could take pictures of the food, I already started eating it! The staff was extremely attentive too. It's one of the best Mexican restaurants I've came across since moving to WI.

Great prices, good food, out of four people in our group everyone was pleased and leftovers are pretty standard here unless you are very hungry. Lots of medium sized shrimp with my meal. They bring out the salsa in small bottle that they refill if you like and this is a nice touch. The outdoor seating here is right next to the Wolf river and the town of New London has a small Midwestern downtown charm in the area.

One of the best Mexican restaurants in the Fox Cities. Completely unexpected in small town of New London. All three of our party had great food. Definitely would go again.

Good food. One complaint tho. They supposedly do takeout, but nobody answers the phone, and the voicemail message says their inbox is full, so it must have been a while since the phone service has had any attention. Had to go into the restaurant and wait for my takeout.
