This place is so cute! It's very close to my house and I've been going here since my childhood! They have good breakfast, lunch, and dinner! It's a tiny little diner, with a counter that seats about 8, and a handful of tables. The prices are great and the food is good too. Get a malt or a milkshake - they serve it in an old school glass and bring you the extra (who doesn't want extra?!)! The only downside is that since it IS so small, sometimes you just can't get a place to sit and parking can be difficult - but it's worth your time to check it out!

Stopped for breakfast. Shared a scrumptious Denver omelette , corned beef hash, and sturdy wheat toast. The coffee was aromatic. Service was fast and friendly. The waitress even divided the meal before serving. I put the place down as a bookmark to go to again.

My brother, up from Georgia, I, from Seattle, and my mom who lives locally, were looking for a good Friday Night Fish Fry. WOW, did we find one. Sitting in the parking lot at the NB library using Google and SIRI we decided to take a chance on this place we never heard of before: Rainbow Restaurant. Soooo glad we did. It's a throw back to when I was growing up, and we'd stop in these little family restaurants around the lakes up north. Cozy, home-style atmosphere; you almost feel like you're sitting at someone's kitchen table. The only thing better than the food was the service, and we all agreed that the food was totally AWESOME. We were treated like family. My elderly mom felt so comfortable and cared for. Mom and my brother had the beer batter cod ($9.95), I had the Lake Perch ($12.95) with potato pancakes. The perch was unbelievably good, as were the pancakes. My brother wolfed down his Cod, and mom ate what she could, but we all agreed it was the best we've had in a long, long time. Oh, and special kudos to the rye bread. Might have been a touch better warmed, but wow, what a great flavor! By contrast, we had a family dinner at a name brand (starts with L) steakhouse at Southridge the next day, and it was the complete opposite of this experience. Keep it up, Rainbow. You're doing everything right.

Great breakfast. Friendly staff. Lots of older "regulars. ". I left a 100% tip and I wanted her to just pass on the niceness and she said she would !! I live right down the road from this place and I'll definitely be back !! Home made Hashbrowns were good as were my eggs and toast. Crispy bacon etc. I really liked it

Despite being busy on Mother's Day the staff did a great job. Unfortunately I had fruit spilled on me and my order was wrong so I didn't love it. If it was slower I probably would have asked for the right dish but I've served before so I get how crazy things can get. The prices were spot on and everyone else enjoyed their food though. I probably won't come back just because it's too far for diner food.

The breakfast was good, and pretty average as far as most restaurants go. The one thing I would say to go here for is the fish fry. That's pretty good. The place is a small and cozy diner.

This restaurant makes you feel like you are in Eagle River! It's quant, older, but clean and delicious homemade food! Great prices also! The omelets were filled with veggies and ham, the toast was so good and the pancakes were perfect. The double cheese and bacon cheddar burger was also very good! They didn't have any of their homemade pies because they reopened today, after taking the month of August off. No time to make the pies! Will be back to try them!

Went here for breakfast and was pleased. Waitress kept filling our coffee cup. Food was good and not expensive so felt I was getting a bargin. Waitress was attentive & she handled the wisecracking men with ease. (It was fun to listen in.) Went there another time for lunch and again the food was good and not pricey.

Nice local diner! Great fish fry with Perch or Walleye on Fridays. Good comfort food. It's a small place with little parking so you may have to wait around lunch time a bit.
