The only reason the place gets a star is because the building they are in is nice. What can I say, my burger tasted like a food service burger from high school, the beers were warm and flat, service was incredibly slow even though we were the only ones ordering food. It's a shame because it's a nice location. Try Mattys or Bosh instead.

Bushy's is a good old Wisconsin pub & grill. I've been coming here for 10 years and I'm always pleased. Great Friday fish fries too. My wife & I often order baked fish, which is excellent, for a good price. The deep-fried fish and seafood are also delicious, again, very reasonably priced. The service is outstanding, waitresses always pleasant.

I'm going to be completely honest, and this is my personal review, not hearsay. I'm finally free to write this review without backlash. I've been going to this place for years, and honestly, the only thing I ever got to eat was the grilled cheese, which was pretty good, because they used sourdough, and I could get cheddar. But, now that I've tried other things, I'm gunna say, I'm not impressed. The "fresh" stuff they claim to have is all frozen. The hot dog...I got a hot dog with cheese, and it came on this gigantic, overly-bready bun, and the cheese??? THEY PUT TWO HALF-SLICES OF KRAFT AMERICAN SINGLES ON IT! We live in wisconsin, and you put the worst, fake cheese on a hot dog? The woman owner actually told some customer off once while I was in there during a football game, because he yelled "shut up!" because her microphone was making us all deaf with the feedback. I have seen her yell at her staff in front of customers. And I know that she lies on the menu about the fresh food. This place could use a bar rescue. I am pretty privy to the muskego gossip, and none of the younger families like to go there, because the food is horrible, and the owner is well known throughout the city as being a complete snot. The brother is known as being pretty nice. When your customers hear the word "fag" come out of one of the owner's mouths, that is an issue. You do not know who on your staff or which of your customers can take offense to that. Also, why the hell do the mac and cheese bites have queso in them? Those were the worst mac and cheese bites I've ever had. It was a surprise. Like, they ran out of the bag of regular ones, then mixed it together with the spicy ones. One had normal cheese, the next would have jalapeños or something spicy in it. Gross. I think they need to just accept that they are a bar, not some fine dining restaurant, like they try to claim. We all know that the fish fry is not fresh, and those are NOT home made potato pancakes. Liars. If you go there to drink, the price of beer is alright. But the food is really subpar. The staff is nice, and if you are nice to them, you should have a good experience (that is really the case anywhere).

Bushy's is ok, nothing special but a good place to grab some lunch when out running about. I've had their greek salad before and it was good, their chicken parm sandwich is fairly standard and decent. This last visit I ordered the chicken Italian salad (calabas salad maybe?) It was ok, again nothing terribly special. The chicken was well seasoned and hot, it melted the mozzarella cheese on the salad a bit which was fine with me. The lettuce though was a little wet from being washed. I would have preferred if the peppercinis had been cut up instead of whole, the kalamata olives were nice and salty though.

"And I know it's coming down, so I'm headed out of town. Because I'm quick like that, never coming back." Thank you to The Brian Jonestown Massacre for explaining my position on Bushy's I used to really like Bushy's. Back in my days working for the telephone company, this was the spot the guys would meet up for beers after work. We liked the food and the place always seemed busy, which we liked. We stopped going after a while because of their tough guy bouncers and their tendency to start trouble when they didn't find any. You might remember a story on the news about this. For all I know this has been resolved, but it's a memory that sticks. It had been years since I'd been here, and remembering their awesome Reuben, my folks and I decided it was time for another visit. No aggro bouncers on a Tuesday made for a good start. We ordered our meals and an appetizer all at once, along with soft drinks. Our dinner arrived and our waitress seemed puzzled at our puzzled faces (This is scientifically known as puzzled squared.). What happened to them tato skins? Lost in space, I suppose. No explanation offered. To be fair, she seemed like she might have been new, but she violated Pops K's #1 rule by having to be flagged down for drink refills. Repeatedly. After waiting an inordinate amount of time for our bill (which included something like 12 bucks for 5 sodas. No free refills on soda here folks. You might want to bring the American Express Centurion card if you're thirsty.), we couldn't wait to not come back for several years.

Food is below average, but is typical bar food. I would prefer them to say they are more a bar and less a food joint, but they try and play both. Love the music tho.

I used to love their Wednesday BBQ ribs but quality seems to have gone down. Servers friendly but I felt like they were hoping to be done with us and go on to talk with customers at the bar. Last time they did have iced tea on menu. Before that I had to get the bottled kind which I don't usually like. I like their appitizer of breaded shrimp. It can be a whole meal along with an order of their seasoned (sour cream and chives) fries. Their hamburgers are okay but I think Mazo's or even Culver's are better. They now have a hall next door so maybe things will improve when all is done. Place can get noisy but not rambunctious. Several TVs going which young ppl seem to like.

I was very happy with my fish dinner, and would gladly go back any other night. Everything tasted great, service was good, price was good, no trouble getting a seat. Two slight grumbles.. the fish didn't cut real well with a fork, so I did have to use the knife several times, or have chunks of fish dangling all over. And our waitress needs to understand something.. as folks age, the quiet, rapid fire monotone voice in a somewhat loud environment with the middle aged crowd doesn't work very well. Speak up, slow down, and have some fluctuation in your voice. Nice to know I wasn't the only one having trouble.

First time back after a 10 years, couldn't believe the improvement cosmetically. What a beautiful bar/restaurant. Food was good. I had a grilled chicken Calabrese salad which was good, not amazing but most salads aren't! Our table also tried the steak sandwich and burger, both were also good. Nothing blew our socks off but can't necessarily say anything bad. Love the wine list! Very extensive compared to other bars in the area. Definitely will return

This was my first time here. Overall, I had a good experience. Servers were friendly and the food was good. Friends that were with me had the Fried Perch. Both of them had quite a few bones in their fish. I had the Fried Cod, and thought it was really good. It had a nice light breading on it. I will be back.

Rode up on the Harley. Had a beer and a Chipotle Burger. The spotted cow was cold and fresh. The burger was great. We'll be back soon!
