This is like a diner you see in movies or TV, but I'd never actually seen in real life. It was super cute! Seems to be owned by two people, one cooks, and one is the waitress. Both were so genuine and nice, too. They took time to talk to us and made us feel welcome. Couple that with the amazing food, and we have a winner!! I ordered the build your own omelette with cheddar and bacon, plus green peppers for an additional 0.50. It's two eggs, so it's easier to handle, but definitely did not skip on the adds I put in! It was delish. It came with toast, hashbrowns were an additional charge, but I don't normally eat them anyways, so I was fine with skipping it. The price was about $6 too which was downright awesome! My guy got scrambled eggs with toast, bacon and hashbrowns, and proudly declared he was in the "clean plate club" upon finishing. We both couldn't stop eating! Their toast came out pre-buttered, with way more than I would normally add on myself, hence it was super good! But be warned of that! Our meals plus one coffee was about $14.65, which was a pretty big steal compared to Chicagoland. I would definitely recommend this place!

Solid all-American diner food! Can't go wrong with a place that serves breakfast all day (at least on Sunday, which is when we were there) and has a sign that says "EAT" out front. Great place to stop off of the bike trail with the family.

The homemade soup and homemade cherry pie are fabulous, as are the entrees. The prices are very reasonable.

A great little spot for breakfast or lunch. Nice selection of classic breakfast items plus muffins and quiche. Lunch menu features pies and desserts that are freshly made daily. Overall a great value and nice option if you're in Monticello.

Was in town from Chicago for a bachelor party and stopped here one morning for breakfast. Very charming with absolutely excellent biscuits and gravy.
