One might miss this small walk up pizza place, but try not to miss it!! This is by far the best pizza around. Unlike many pizzas, this one has flavor. The sauce is nicely seasoned, the sausage is real sausage, not those frozen pellets found on so many pizzas, and the toppings are generous. Garlic butter on the edges of the crust make this pizza unique and delicious...and by the way...real butter...not that chemical spread that is usually served on garlic bread. And, try the Italian sausage sandwich..another generous sandwich with that tasty sauce. Usually I have to pile pizza with basil and oregano and red pepper but not this one...great as is! An added plus is the staff. MaryAnn and Vidal are courteous and always pleasant to customers, even customers like me who have fussy orders. Truly a top notch pizza!!

Place is a dump. Pizza taste like tori is. It gets a ton of Shorewood high school kids so I think it will have a long life. Bonus is you can get it by the slice.

This place is the real deal. Delicious ingredients, a great recipe, and cooked to perfection. The store not much to look at, a lot like most of the New York joints I've been to. Staff is friendly, and services quick. Definitely worth the trip to Sherwood.

Had Vedos for the first time tonight and it did not disappoint! The pizza was delicious, enormous amounts of cheese and toppings cooked to perfection. The thin crust was cooked but a little chewy---yum! Also was ready in 15 min for pick up. Will definitely order again and recommend

After having tried a lot of different pizza places in the Mil, I wanted to try something new. My personal fav pizza is Lisa's, but I needed to mix it up. I read some reviews and figured I needed to give this place a shot. A very friendly woman took my order and said it would be ready in 20 minutes. I walk in and it was ready ahead of schedule. Additionally, it looked like this was the only woman working - running the whole place by herself that night. The price of the Zah was very reasonable - $17.75 for a large 18 incher. The service was great, fast, and super friendly. The pizza smelled great and when I opened it up it looked awesome. Big MF slices, thin, nice cheese, good sauce, and good sausage / roni. The crust is coated with garlic and tastes great. Not quite as powerful as the garlic at Via, but that's a good thing - not overpowering. My friend and I devoured the large in record time and were stuffed / ready to pass out. Bottom line: Everything about this place was quality and pricing was great. My rating: 8/10

Delicious, creative pizzas from a storefront you'd never see unless you were looking for it. The prices are reasonable, the slices are tasty, and the staff is friendly. It's a tiny shop but the flavors are big! If you're looking for pizza in shorewood, give Vedo's a try.

Pizza was simple and tasty. Pricing was decent. Employee was perfect on the phone. Only negatives: No online ordering A lot of flour on bottom of pizza.

Yes. Yes. Y.E.S. this place is it. The pizza is made the right way. The crust is perfect, it just melts in your mouth so perfectly. I just wish they stayed open, but then again the shorewood nightlife is dismal at best. I'll be ordering from here from now on.

This place is such a hidden gem! I've lived in Milwaukee for around 4 years now, right around the corner from this place, and have been searching for a really good pizza- especially now that Classic Slice North Ave has closed down, and tried this place for the first time last week. Vedo's Pizza has answered my pizza prayers with a beautiful New York style pizza! Driving by, you might not notice Vedo's Pizza. It's an inconspicuous storefront, just a little hole in the wall, with 1-3 people working inside at any given time. There are no tables to dine at so you either take it to go or order delivery. When we picked up, there was one guy working the whole place, he was doing a crossword and looked like he maybe had had a long night. That's cool though, I work in the service industry, too; I know how it goes. We had a medium (14inches) half pepperoni/half cheese and an order of breadsticks and the total was $13- which is pretty good for a meal for three. The pizza was a perfect balance of toppings, sauce, and crust. The crust was my favorite part. It was hand tossed, not rolled which is really unacceptable in my book, had flour residue on the bottom, was thin without being crackery, chewy and HAD GARLIC BUTTER BRUSHED ON THE CRUST. I am a huuuge garlic lover so this was a big plus. The breadsticks were twisted and also covered in garlic which I'm pretty into, as you read before. I don't really foresee myself ordering pizza on the east side from anywhere but here from now on.

As a native of NJ who has lived in the Midwest for over 5 years I've learned to live with different notions of pizza. Veda's isn't much to look at but the pizza is the real deal. I won't order from anywhere else unless I don't have a choice.

I get pizza at least once a week. As far as I'm concerned it is the sixth food group. After recently moving to the area, I've been trying new pizza places as frequently as possible. Vedo's is a couple of minutes from my new house so I was really hoping it would be as good as some of my fellow Yelpers said. Unfortunately, I was unimpressed. The dough was rubbery and the toppings were sparse.

This might be the only place that I will make an exception to the usually fury I experience when someone calls me "Hun". Why? Because these 3 ( I really think there are only like 3 people who work here) people work so damn hard and make pretty tasty pizza. This is a softer and thicker crust. They accommodate my daughters hate for red sauce and make her what she wants and just stop short of coming over and pinching her on the cheek. They are that nice. I only worry about their necks and Tv addition. Lower the TV y'all, you watch it the most, so put is somewhere comfortable for you!

Amazing! Probably my favorite pizza (next to Via) in Milwaukee.

Vedo's is getting a very hesitant four-star review from me. The first time I ordered Vedo's, they knocked it out of the park. I ordered a large one topping pie and some garlic twists for take out. Everything was awesome. Good crispy-but-not-too-crispy crust, warm, fresh tasting, perfectly topped.. everything you'd want from a pizza. The next time we got slices on a whim. The slices are small but really really cheap and they were pretty decent. Because it was an impulse pizza purchase, it gave us a chance to sit inside and see how things work. The inside is a little dingy but in a really charming way. It's take-out and delivery only so we just sat on a chair and looked at magazines and waited. The cashier/cook/owner??? is a funny guy who called me buddy five or six times in the ten minutes I was there. Feeling confident that we discovered our new neighborhood pizzeria, we decided to show off our new find to a friend who was visiting us from out of state. We wanted a night in so we called for delivery. I was told it would be about a half an hour to fourty five minutes to get our pizza... totally reasonable amount of time, so no problem. I realize that as soon as the person on the phone says 30-45 minutes that it really means 45 to an hour, so I prepared myself for that. An hour went by... then an hour and a half. I do something I never do, and called to check on my order, which I was told was on its way. 45 minutes later I called to cancel, and was told "no". What the hell? So I said I'd give it ten more minutes. About 10 minutes later a cold, floppy piece of shit pizza was delivered to my door by a contrite-but-irritated driver. I took a little break from ol' Vedo's after that one. From there on out it's been pick up, and it's all been decent but never as good as it was that first magical time. I'll still go to Vedo's assuming they never try and ruin my whole life like they did when I tried to get them to deliver a pizza to me. Tip: Consider getting your pizza well done. If you don't, you may get pale, chewy pizza.

Good stuff! New Yorker, so I get to be a big snot about pizza. Vedo's has nice big slices with good crust thickness and crunch, good sauce to cheese ratio. Will definitely return!

Vedo's is fabulous New York style pizza. When I worked for the University we would always order from there. The crust is the perfect thickness, thin enough to fold but not break or get soggy. The comment about the slatherings of garlic buttery is VERY accurate. Don't forget an order of breadsticks. They definitely taste homemade, and if they aren't, then I just don't care.

Awesome! I always order the deluxe pizza, it has high quality toppings and a lot of them with a good sauce, and a thin crust. It's my favorite pizza place in Milwaukee.

Dude, seriously. No, SERIOUSLY. Dude. DUDE! Seriously. Lisa's is great. I like Zaffiros. Calderone if I'm feeling adventurous. But, THIS is what take-out should be. (In my gullet.) Crust brushed with garlic-butter, sliced NY-style. Perfect portions. Cheese - Yum. Sauce - Yum. Toppings - Yum. All perfectly-blended, and served hot. Always/ Consistently-excellent. Reasonably-priced, and difficult not to inhale. And the entire staff is excellent. The drivers are the best! (Not to boast, but I can down an entire large in just under 14 minutes. Guilt-free. And feel kind of good, afterwards!)

I used to live on Oakland Ave. and would see this place each time I took the 62 bus that goes along Capitol. Yesterday, I finally went in there (after returning some way overdue library books at the Shorewood Library) and decided to try their pizza. Let's be honest: Vedo's Pizza looks like a hole in the wall. The two guys I saw working there looked more like construction guys than pizza makers and there was a TV blaring in the background. I ordered two slices of mushroom and sausage pizza (a personal favorite of mine) and waited on the bench while watching an awful episode of Tyra (wait, is there ever a non-awful one?). When the pizza was finally done, it was piping hot and fresh out of the oven. From what I remembered, I could literally smell the mushrooms on that pizza. What was most pleasant was that when I walked out and ate a piece, I could literally taste the mushrooms on it and the cheese was melted so nicely that it had this stringy texture to it and was plenty flavorful. The sauce had a bit of seasoning and was not too tomato-ey, and the crust had this wonderful garlic butter aftertaste. I was really excited about this, except for one thing: The crust was a bit too hard and was a bit difficult to chew on. Other than that flaw, it was probably the most perfect pizza I've had in a long while. That flaw is also why I took down a star. With all that said, I really enjoyed those two slices a lot. I'm just glad to say that there are still places that make pizza as just pizza and with none of the bells and whistles. Overall, highly recommended and I plan to order from them again.

Delicious pizza, fast delivery at a great price! I love that they don't put too much sauce on the pizza and that the crust is baked well! Give Vedos a try, my Packer party was impressed and you will be too!

I've hesitated on this review for quite a while, just not sure what to say. Had take-out a few months ago, and it was pretty good, but nothing super memorable. The operations of the place seemed a little chaotic; the one guy working there didn't have anything available to write my order down on, and we both got confused when he tried to explain how much extra toppings would cost. I have really been meaning to give them another try, but they just don't come to mind when I'm in the mood for pizza.

If Upper Crust is backed up or closed.... call Vedo's. Super nice peeps there, but still needs some work. 80 peperonnis out 100.

Grew up in Milwaukee and live in New York now. I don't particularly like New York pizza, but when I'm home, sometimes I'll miss it. I live in the neighborhood and Vedo's is good and cheap. Good crispy crust and kind of a spicy sauce. It's not Lisa's or Ian's, but it's still good and rather convenient. The cheesy bread is quite good as well. The staff is really pleasant and I enjoy supporting the business in large part because of their hospitality.

Awsome pizza. I live a block away and its my go to pizza place. Amazing breakfast pizza thingys and everyone there is so wonderful. Its a family business that rocks my world.

Delicious thin-crust pizza! If you like New-York style pizza, I think it's the best I've tried in the city so far. Better than Classic Slice (Bay View) and Whole Foods, both of which are very good as well, and Vedo's has more of a substantial crust than Zaffiro's. I appreciated that you can buy pizza by the slice (unlike nearby Gianelli's) or order a whole pie. We only tried the cheese pizza, but it had really good flavor--a blend of cheeses, sauce that did not overpower, and a crust that was tasty enough to eat on its own. A drawback is no parking lot since it's located near the corner of Capitol and Oakland. But you can find street parking nearby, and it's worth the short walk.
