The food was decent for a Sunday brunch. Tacos were ok, nothing special but nothing to complain about. Now the bad: I ordered a soda to drink and we tried sitting outside. We ended up having to run inside due to hornets swarming us and our food. When we moved inside I needed a refill of soda due to the insects in my cup. By the end when we got the bill, I was charged for each refill of soda full price. My bill was blown up by some drinks I didn't even need or know. For that reason I subtracted 2 stars.

Saw the place explored/advertised by John McGivern on PBS so I had to try it. Exterior is pretty cool with a great deck, street is very busy on 13th/Lincoln Interior is pretty neatly decorated too, lotsa seafood decorations Place was almost completely empty on a Sunday afternoon, kinda odd. Service was great, waiter was good and attentive. Chips were kinda thick, salsa was pretty good with a little spice Enchiladas were great. My daughter had tacos, they were lacking flavor and didn't come with beans/rice so I gave her my rice. Price was pretty cheap, may go back due to that

Came here for an early dinner during the week. We were served chips and salsa - salsa was extremely hot and after many water requests the bartender brought out a bowl of milder salsa that turned out to be just tomato paste. He wasn't very friendly or talkative either and we sat at the bar to eat and drink margaritas. Both of us ordered a combination plate of steak enchilada, tostada, and taco I actually thought the meat was really good - not tough or gristly at all. Beware!! they did not allow us to redeem the yelp check in special - half off a lunch or dinner entree.

A great weekday lunch spot! Their patio is fantastic to sit on, too!

Service can be a bit aloof, but I come here for the food. The margaritas a pretty good, even with the house tequila. Their coctel de cameron is one of my favorites in the city. You get a large goblet filled with lots of shrimp, avocado, onions, etc and a whole plate of limes, crackers & hot sauce to dial it up just how you want it. In the summer you'll often find me on the patio for a quick & cheap Friday lunch of two bean tostadas and a horchata. This place is my go to for inexpensive, delicious Mexican food. It's got a large patio and a decent amount of parking. What else do you need? Note: the only item I think is a miss is the ceviche. I've had it a couple times and wasn't impressed.

Ugh. My friend was served rancid smelling lobster, when we returned it they came back and said yeah order something else the Lobster is bad. It smelled so strong I can't believe the cooks couldn't have known prior to cooking it. Won't b going back, the enchiladas tasted just ok, not what I'd expect from an authentic mexican restaurant. An all around bad experience.

We told them the margarita wasn't strong enough. So they upgraded us. No questions asked. The guac is to die for. Lovely meseras. Bandas y corridos playing. La perla what?

Loved this place! Went with a few friends for a Friday dinner and didn't have to wait at all. At first that made me a little nervous (a good place should be busy, right?), but apparently this place is simply a hidden gem! We started with the margaritas and loved them. Upon opening the menu, once again I was surprised - the prices were wonderful and so inexpensive. All of us decided to order something different and loved every plate. The service was great, food delicious, and drinks perfect. Would highly suggest this place!

I'll start off by saying that I had food from Tres Hermanos at "Mexican Fiesta" on the grounds where Summerfest is held. So I haven't actually been to the physical restaurant, but if the food I had at the festival reflects what the restaurant serves, I will never have to go to the real location because the food was THAT BAD. It was Awful to be blunt. I was attracted to the Tres Hermanos setup because of the relative large amount of people that were waiting in line. So I thought "hey, this place must be where it's it", boy was I wrong. It literally took 15 minutes to get to the front of the line to order, even though there were about 4 groups of people ahead of me only. This equals SLOW SERVICE. The guy that took my order was writing everything out long hand on the ticket. I thought that was a possible reason. It also didn't help that no one spoke english except 2 people ( and one of them was a 10 year-old boy that was handling the beverages). So I ordered a "Super Burrito" plate that included rice and beans and proceeded to wait by the pickup window. The 10 year-old boy put his hands inside my empty cup before pouring the soda into it. Okay that's pretty gross. Next, I watched as people who ordered behind me start to get their food while I continued to wait there. Finally, I had enough and told one of the ladies giving out food that I hadn't received my order yet and that I had ordered before all of these people here. She nodded and I figured I'd get my food, but NOOOOOOO she continues to yell out order #'s that are after my number. Total lack of communication. It's frustrating that they knew no english at all. She had no clue what I was saying. I was finally given a burrito plate once I had complained to the little 10 year-old since he could actually speak english. I knew something was wrong when I saw a lady yelling at the people that she wanted her money back and shoving the food back saying it was awful. Oh great, well maybe it was just a rare occurrence. The rice and beans were actually not bad, I was surprised.... this was until I found a BIG BLACK HAIR in it. Barf. The burrito was disguising. Literally couldn't eat more than a bite. It was bean spread from a can and burnt steak. The steak was half fat and had no taste. AWFUL. This is what happens when you use cheap ingredients. I wasted $7 on some rice with hair in it. Awesome. Save your time and skip this place. Yuck.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
