I feel jipped. I spent 30 bucks last night on 3 egg rolls, crab ragoon, pineapple fried rice, and beef with broccoli. The beef and broccoli was sized for a child and was very very brothy. The portion is what makes me mad/sad. It should state that an order is only for one small person. Taste is good but quanity so bad.

Been here a handful of times and it's always been ok. Nothing exceptional, but nothing that made me dislike the place. The food took a while during lunch, but the server was nice and friendly. Ordered two Pad Thai and they mixed up the heat levels, so I got a medium one and the lady ended up with supreme spicy. Either their spice level could be hotter or it's just right for their typical customers. I ended up putting a bunch of dried Thai chili powder on it to make it hot. Her Pad Thai didn't come with a wedge of lime so I had to squeeze the rest of my lime on her noodles. The Drunken Noodles were flavorful and fragrant, but a little salty. Tum Yum soup was a little salty, but had good heat and lemon grass flavor. Could have used more lime for sourness. The Thai Tea is good, but a little on the sweet side. It's good when the ice has melted a bit or if you add a little water to it and enjoy right away. Overall I would come back when craving Thai food and in the area, but the search for a great Thai place still continues.

I love stopping at this place after my doctors appoontments at VA. The food reminds me of when I was in Pataya Vieynam. Nothing better than the Phuket provence food kike here.
(5)Matt S.
I have eaten at Siam about 4 times in the last 4 months since discovering this place. It's right across the street from the VA and during peak lunch hours it can get pretty packed. However I must say the Number 23 red curry based dish is amazing. Probably the best red curry Thai dish I have ever had even though it isn't listed in the curry section. He green curry is also very good as well as the Volcano Chicken. Everything is always presented really well and when it is served you almost forget you are in West Allis. (That is at least Until you look up). Anyway the Volcano chicken which is also a favorite isn't quite as good as E-San over on the east side it is still very very good.

I've been ordering from these guys for years, never any problems. The delivery guy would hook me up with some "KAPOW" extra spicy Pad Kra Paw, #15 spicy as he called it, and it genuinely hurt oh so good. He would include little containers of extra spices to help make it as hot as I wanted. AWESOME. Haven't see him deliver lately and it's like all standards have disappeared... where is this guy?! The last time I ordered took TWO HOURS and only after I called to complain... and I live down the street! Maybe I'd get faster service if I walked there... This past time was an hour and a half and it was all COLD. Look at the crab Rangoons I got (profile pics)! Completely flat like someone sat on them, and no dipping sauce. The Pad Kra Paw was lukewarm and bland. NOT SPICY. PATHETIC! SO DISAPPOINTED WITH YOU GUYS. Fix your delivery issues. *** I called to complain and got a piping hot version of what I had ordered within 30 minutes... STILL no dipping sauce for the Crab Rangoons. Did the manufacturer not ship those to you after they sat on the Rangoon wantons?! Not ordering from you guys anymore. Two bad experiences in a row are the LAST bad experiences for me. Sorry Siam Express, you've lost a very loyal customer.

Not bad, pleasant decor, somewhat attentive service, palatable Americanized Thai cuisine. Does not compare well to Thai BBQ east of here in terms of food quality, though the service is better here. Not to say that the service was quick or efficient, just better than at the Thai BBQ where service is notably inconsistent. Food here is relatively bland, uses American vegetables substituting for Southeast Asian vegetables, American vegetable oils instead of Southeast Asian oils, the food is definitely not very spicy. If you want closer to authentic Thai, you're better off at Thai BBQ. If you want blander, more Americanized Thai food with somewhat better service, this is your choice. Conveniently located if you're doing something at the VA hospital.

I ordered thai style of pork kapow. I feel like home. It was exactly what i want. It has no green beans. Only kapow leaves (holy basils). I love it. Make sure you have fry egg in the top too. Original thai food is the best.
(5)Lyndzi M.
Got the Tom Kha soup and the yellow curry and both were really amazing. Great spice level (I love spicy). We were the only customers at the time, but it was early for dinner. Hope this place does well!
(5)Dee D.
Wonton soup is not rhat great has a peppery taste that I'm not a fan of. The pad thai was ok too and delivery took over an hr. The food is so so but I dont think it's as great as some reviews say
(2)Bao Y.
I like this place, I've sent my boyfriend here for pho on a day I was hungover and it was good. The soup was nice and hot and the flavor was delicious, not the best but good. Another time we came in to grab some food to go, it was super dead, not a soul in sight but we ordered curry, pad see euw and fried rice, the pad see euw was my favorite out of the three but still not the best I've ever had but for Milwaukee it'll do. And note, the curry was sweet though I don't remember which one it was exactly :/

Not too bad Siam Express. Not bad at all. Honestly, when you look at this place from the outside, it doesn't look like much, but it was across the street from work so I gave it a try. I got the pad thai noodles, and they were really good. The time I was there, it looked like a pretty popular place for lunch as people started to file in around noon. The spicy rating here is from 1 to 5. I like spicy, but I usually don't get my pad thai spicy. I went with a 2 and it had a nice little kick to it, like you know the spice is there but it just added a little extra flavor. I heard a lot of other people go with a 3 as a normal spiciness for your dish. I'm thinking 4 or 5 are going to be extra spicy, where 5 could be an unenjoyable spiciness, but I have yet to try any other ratings. I think this is an excellent place for lunch, or if you want to get some thai carryout. I believe they also deliver with a minimum charge ($10 probably). I would say check this place out. It's a nice change from sonic, jersey mikes, and other restaurants in the area.

After moving to the seemingly food dessert that is West Allis I was excited when I found Siam Express. Totally psyched with online ordering and delivery to my door. The food is always super fresh and hot. The curry is great! I crave it almost every week. The only downside is the delivery time is usually long (an hour) no matter when you order, and they are closed on Monday's. This place made my move to Stallis not quite as hard.
(4)PaChee C.
Food was alright. Crab ragoons didn't have enough fillings and there was way to much dried pepper on my food when I asked mild.
(2)World T.
Pad Thai is always amazing. Red and green curry is what keeps me coming back though. Closed on Mondays which always seems to be when I'm craving it the most. That's the only reason they didn't get 5 stars :(
(4)Amy L.
Inconsistent. Some dishes are good, but others I could definitely make better at home. I'd rather go somewhere else for Thai.
(2)Jeremey K.
Vegetarian looking for good spicy veggies, so I got the green curry soup with veggies. I ordered level four spiciness expecting to at least break a sweat. I was disappointed. No sweat, slight heat in mouth afterwards. I would have rated that a one or two, imo. The veggies were nice and crisp, but the broth was bland and barely had any flavor. I'm also used to a curry sauce that's more thick, so the watery broth was less than appealing. No spring rolls available when I requested them. No brown rice like other yelpers have suggested. Two stars cause I'm full and the veggies were crisp. I'm not tempted to come back. I should have guessed from the "express" title that quality wasn't going to be too high.

This is the closest Thai restaurant to my house, so I was excited to see it open. I've visited twice now, and I've been satisfied with both of my meals. The restaurant is clean and comfortably lit. I'm not sure I would have selected the Oldies station to be playing in a Thai restaurant, but I doubt that is costing them any business. On my first visit, I ordered the Massaman Curry with beef. I've only had Massaman Curry at a couple of other Thai restaurants, but I didn't think this one was as rich in flavor as the others, but the beef was tender. It was still good, but just not as good as the others I've had. I really liked the presentation with the shoestring carrots garnish and heart shaped rice serving on the side. On my most recent visit, I decided to try the Pad Thai with chicken, since it was a dish I've had at other Thai restaurants in town. The chicken was on the dry side, but the sauce had a prominent taste of peanut, which is not a bad thing. The overall texture and flavor made this a solid dish, but again not quite as good as the others I've had. Again, I liked the presentation with the sprouts, carrots and chopped peanuts as garnishes. The staff is friendly and attentive, although on both visits I was the only diner. I will say, however, that the carry-out business was very steady on both of my visits. On my last visit, I heard the chef yell out "hello Julie!" to the customer that just came in, so there is certainly repeat business which is a good sign. Also, I plan to go back again since it's close to my house and the food is solid, so there's that. I give them a solid 3 1/2 stars with the potential to get to 4 stars with future visits.
(3)Quinn R.
The spring rolls were hot and crispy, and really good. But the service left a little to be gained.
(4)Namrata D.
This place is very bad with customer service. They are rude and the owner denies to come on the call when you want to complain about the bad customer service.
(1)Adam C.
I got takeout here a lot when they were on GrubHub. I've been mostly happy. The pad thai is delicious, as are the curry dishes. The Massaman curry was too sweet for my tastes, but I can forgive that in light of some of the other good meals I've had courtesy of this place. The place is pretty cool on the inside; they've got a nice big aquarium stocked with, if I remember, some red-tailed sharks. The people who run the place are always nice and even fairly conversational if your food isn't quite ready as you turn up to pick it up. The food isn't terribly spicy, but for those who don't like a lot of heat or who are new to Thai food it will be perfect. The appetizers I've tried have all been decent as well. The menu is easy to navigate even for people who don't quite know what everything is, which could be convenient.. My one major complaint is the location. I can't recommend dining in at certain times, because during Brewer games West Milwaukee institutes a ridiculous, predatory parking policy and it can become very difficult to find legal parking. The food is good, but not worth the chance of getting a parking ticket. If you're like me and couldn't give less of a damn about baseball you never know if the policy is in effect at one time or another without going out of your way to see if there is actually a game on at the time. What's even worse is that the restaurant isn't even *that* close to Miller Park (it's walkable if you're determined, but how many people are that determined?), but the suburbs gotta make money somehow I guess. Can you tell I'm a bit bitter? It wasn't even my ticket, but it was such horseshit that I'm empathically mad about it. TL;DR: Pretty good Thai food, but avoid West Milwaukee like the plague during baseball season.

It's close to work so we've been there several times now. I just don't get it. It all tastes the same!!! Everything I order tastes like stir fry oil. It's just not good. Drain or change the oil or something! Ugh. The portions are huge and the service is always polite even when she doesn't know what you are asking for. I love the little cup of mandarin oranges at the end of the meal. They don't taste like stir fry oil at least!
(2)Emma L.
Just ordered delivery for the first time. From previous reviews it looks like some people had bad experiences. No problems here. Delivery actually arrived 15minutes before the estimated time. I ordered the pad see ewe. I ordered beef and got chicken instead. I was a bit disappointed but the noodles were so good I didn't mind. These were the best pad see ewe noodles I've ever had. They were not thick and gummy or all stuck together in one big lump like I've experienced before from other Thai places. Flavor was nice not over sauced or heavy handed. I would definitely order from them again. Maybe try dine-in next time!
(4)Kristin M.
Decided to give this place a shot. Called to place an order. They call back because they ran out of pad Thai. Really? A Thai restaurant that ran out of pad Thai? No thank you. Will take my business elsewhere.
(1)Josh J.
Excellent curry for the price. Better then some of the more expensive places down on Brady. Plus they deliver! Curry at home watching movies and shows got to love it.

I used to love Siam Express. A lot. I ordered more than was healthy. Like once every two weeks, sometimes more. I started ordering from them right from the get go, when they first opened up. I have had a -lot- of orders from this place. The food was always good, sometimes it was stellar. They were my go-to delivery place when I didn't feel like leaving the house. Well, no more. Not after last night. I ordered food from them via GrubHub. It was supposed to arrive 7:55 at the latest. Around 8:15 I contacted GrubHub, they said that SE would have the food over in ten to fifteen minutes. This was highly unusual for Siam Express--they are usually super early! GH gave me 5%, and I was cool with leaving it at that. But the guy who delivered my food was not very nice. He just gave me my food and left. No apologies for the lateness. Didn't ask me to sign anything. "Here's your food," and left. I noticed something wrong right away. The drink I ordered was a green tea smoothie, no whip cream and no boba. It had both of those things. Sigh. Secondly, the actual food. I ordered lad nhar with crispy noodles. I had only had lad nhar with wide noodles in the past, and it looked nothing like this. Changing the noodle type shouldn't be such a big difference. I received a bowl of some really gross soupy stuff, and a side of wide noodles. This was not what I ordered, and it looked awful to boot. Like, I honestly wonder if they just gave me this as a joke. Contacted GH again about it after receiving the food. They said they would contact them, and I heard nothing about it. GH usually responds within a few minutes. Decided to pop back to GH today and send them a message asking what was up. They left me a message on my phone saying that SE had called them back and would give me a 15% off next time I ordered. Okay, and how was I supposed to know about this? Mind reading? How exactly would I receive this discount anyway, if all the coupons and stuff are handled through GrubHub? It seems strange and probably improbable I'd be able to combine my $5 off with the %15, anyway. Also, 15% off when you screwed up my order so hilariously bad without an apology? Like I'm going to come back and actually give them anymore money. Fat chance.

Ended up here with a Thai craving after another place nearby was closed. This place was wonderful! We ordered the pad thai and pa prik kang. We were happy to get a small salad to start. The entrees were amazing - very delicious and fresh. I also got a thai iced tea and it was one of the best ones I have ever had. They brought us a small bowl of apricots for dessert. Delicious and fast. I highly recommend!
(5)CJ P.
Loved this place! Great take out food. It was delicious. My wife ordered for me and it was delicious. I wish I could have remembered what she ordered because it was phenomenal. We ordered and had it delivered and it came hot and ready and delicious. Makes me wish we ordered more. What I do remember is a egg drop soup and egg rolls that I devoured. Definitely a nice spot for a movie night at home and food delivery.. And I tasted her Pad Thai and it was incredible.
(4)Valerie G.
This is our "go to" carry out place - you can't go wrong. I love the siam fried rice with chicken and the pad Thai. My husband usually gets the pad prik Kang or beef pepper steak. The food is consistently good and ready in 20 minutes. The food is fresh and not heavy/loaded with sauces like some other places. We just recently tried the real fruit smoothies with the tapioca and are addicted! This place rocks!
(5)Michael R.
I give Siam Express 5 stars for taste, 3 stars for portion size, and 2 stars for delivery service. This averages out to about 3.3 stars, but I will round up just because their food is by far some of the best Thai I have ever had. I was not impressed with their portion size on some of the appetizers and entrees we ordered. Specifically the fried wontons...we received 5 of tiniest wontons. For $3.95 an order I can't be too upset though... Despite giving the person who took our order over the phone detailed directions to my house, and giving the delivery driver directions after she called twice after getting lost, our food finally made it to our house in about 45 minutes. I have to note that this delivery time was juuuust inside the window of when they estimated our food would be delivered. Our food wasn't cold, but it wasn't quite as warm as what it should have been. The driver promptly apologized for the delay when she arrived. I don't mind giving directions once, but three times? I guess I assume that everyone has GPS nowadays...
(4)Anne D.
We ordered Siam Express through GrubHub. The food was tasty, delivery was quick; though we ordered online with an estimated wait time of 1 hour, our food arrived in 25 to 30 minutes. Food was hot and fresh. Entre portion size was good. Great, great noodles. Overall, good flavor and textures. Not too salty squishy or oily. We definitely will be ordering from them again.
(5)Alwaysproud P.
I preface this with I have been a long time customer of Siam Express since they first opened and this is only experiences lately (Last few months). We ordered delivery as we always do, we have never had the time to go and eat in house there. We ordered actually our usual; the yellow curry soup with extra veggies for me and curry fried rice for my husband. At that point we were told 30 minutes,,, an hour later our food arrived and we were happy, the food is decent to excellent there and it was getting late on my birthday for us to be eating so we were very hungry. The food was in fact late and terrible. My curry lacked anything but onions and about four small pieces of chicken in the container. My husbands FRIED rice was a big gooey ball of over cooked glump of rice with raw onions and raw carrot, and no egg so in fact no stir fry ever took place there. My husband called them and an hour later they sent more curry for me and it was not much better and so spicy i could no even eat it, felt like the cook was getting me back for complaining, I normally ask for it to be 1 spicy not 100 spicy. The attitude of the staff was appalling and by the time we got our second delivery it was after 10 pm. I hope the owners at Siam Express read this because we have been such loyal customers even when things were not perfect, but to get such a bad attitude and terrible food was such a bummer and we will think twice if we ever order from them again. I also cannot recommend anyone else try them out, especially on your birthday...
(2)Valerie S.
fantastic pad thai and green tea smoothies. and miso soup. fast and friendly delivery. love this place!
(5)Jules M.
My coworkers and I love this place. We frequently order lunch here and have never been disappointed. The service is excellent and pricing is fair. The inside of the restaurant is clean and the interior is new. It is nice to have an authentic, family owned restaurant in the area. Give it a try! You'll be glad you did.
(5)Amy T.
We usually park over on National and walk over to the Brewers game and noticed this place on the walk over, so we started out early to eat before the game. Prices were very reasonable. You can order your level of heat on the entrees, my friend went bland I went medium, I would guess others who commented on the spiciness didn't include that in their order. We had pad thai and volcano chicken and would order both again. Unfortunately we had to abandon left overs, figuring that they wouldn't last through an August game. We will definitely stop again.
(4)Jerimiah S.
best pad thai in the city!!!! fast delivery too!
(5)Joe B.
Terrible delivery. Estimated 40 min and got here an hour and a half later. Already threw out the delivery menu.
(1)Jillian M.
Excellent thai food. We've dined in, carried out and gotten delivery ( we live in Washington heights). Love the vegetarian options, everything can be made with tofu. Haven't had a dish we haven't liked.
(5)Mel R.
Amazing Thai! As a food critic for aWingThing.com I am naturally pretty critical of food everywhere, not just wings. I ordered the Pad Thai Medium (I usually go for a drunken noodle/pud kee mow but wanted to see how their Pad Thai held up) and their Siam Fried Rice. Both were excellent and full of fresh ingredients. The fried rice was possibly a touch greaser than I prefer but the Pad Thai was as good of a Pad Thai as I've had anywhere including Thai BBQ. I'd really like a good amount of Thai Basil/Queen Siam Basil too. Delivery was very quick. The girl on thehone said 45 minutes and it was probably 25. Plus the delivery girl was super nice and friendly! Now that I know this place delivers to me (1.9 miles away) and I know they have delicious, fresh Thai food I'll be stopping in and ordering delivery are often.
(5)Meg B.
I must say I was very surprised with this place! The atmosphere is clean and inviting, the staff is friendly, & the food is delicious. I will most definitely stop back soon and bring some of my friends! I ordered: Yellow Chicken Curry Soup & Crab Rangoon Next time I want to try: Pineapple Curry Fried Rice, Drunken Noodles, & a Smoothie with tapioca!
(3)Alyssa P.
They deliver fast, which is great. The dishes are fresh, hot and full of bright flavors. I love the extras they give you on the side so you can spice up your dish how you like. We have ordered from here 3 times, and wach time it was delicious. The Pho broth was really good. Favorite dish...drunken noodles.
(4)Nicholas H.
I ordered the Drunken Noodle and a side of miso soup for lunch. I worked ~1/2 mile from their main location. The total was $15.00. The delivery driver did not know how to get to my office. I gave an address and some specifics about the building. By the time I got my food, it was soggy and pretty bad. I ordered the second-hottest variety of their food and in my opinion, was not spicy enough yet. Overall, for the cost I was quite disappointed. Furthermore, if you're going to offer delivery the staff should know the area, and to get lost when the building is just about across the street, kinda bad. Sorry, I probably could have carry-out'd the order but due to the nature of my work, delivery was the only option. I would possibly give this place another shot, but in the restaurant and not for a while.
(2)Alice L.
Small portions and long wait for food. They didn't tell us that they had messed up the order so we got one dish and sat there wondering what happened. Maybe it's because they're newer? I don't know but there are other places I would rather go to.
(2)Yuri S.
We tried many thai foods around Milwaukee. For this restaurant their food very flavorful and tasty. The ingredients are fresh and the good of all their food no msg added. The smoothies so good with real fruits. So goods.
(5)Viviana B.
Ordered delivery sweet and sour chicken and crab Rangoon. It came out to be $16. There were only 6 six crispy small pieces of chicken.
(1)Packers P.
I enjoy their food. It's tasteful and not a bad price. I prefer more options when ordering but, with them starting off new, the food is great.
(4)K B.
Decent Thai. The Pad Thai was fairly solid. The service was good and the place seemed fairly clean, but probably mostly because it's relatively new. I wouldn't go out of your way for this place, but if you're in the area or you're looking for delivery, it's not bad.
(3)Abe S.
I just went here and it was delicious! I had their red curry and crab rangoon which were both very fresh, flavorful and tasty. I would highly recommend this to anyone that lives in the area. They were also very friendly and started a conversation with me while I waited for my takeout.
(4)Kim S.
Ordered delivery and it was great. We get yellow curry with shrimp and chicken pad Thai. Both were delicious!

My coworkers and I love this place. We frequently order lunch here and have never been disappointed. The service is excellent and pricing is fair. The inside of the restaurant is clean and the interior is new. It is nice to have an authentic, family owned restaurant in the area. Give it a try! You'll be glad you did.

We will definitely stop again.

best pad thai in the city!!!! fast delivery too!
(5)Joe B.
Terrible delivery. Estimated 40 min and got here an hour and a half later. Already threw out the delivery menu.

Excellent thai food. We've dined in, carried out and gotten delivery ( we live in Washington heights). Love the vegetarian options, everything can be made with tofu. Haven't had a dish we haven't liked.

(3)David W.

The spring rolls were hot and crispy, and really good. But the service left a little to be gained.
(4)Adam C.

This place is very bad with customer service. They are rude and the owner denies to come on the call when you want to complain about the bad customer service.

(3)Mark T.
I ordered thai style of pork kapow. I feel like home. It was exactly what i want. It has no green beans. Only kapow leaves (holy basils). I love it. Make sure you have fry egg in the top too. Original thai food is the best.

Got the Tom Kha soup and the yellow curry and both were really amazing. Great spice level (I love spicy). We were the only customers at the time, but it was early for dinner. Hope this place does well!
