Contrary to other reviews I've always had a good experience at this Qdoba. It's fast, clean, and courteous. I usually get the chicken nachos (I wish Chipotle had a nachos option) and if you get the right person working the counter they'll really load up the toppings.

It's a Qdoba...nothing special. The service today was fast and pleasant, but I take it from other reviews that is not always the case. Good for a quick, predictable lunch.

Recently, Qdoba had a promotion for Buy one get one free entrees, which lasted almost a month... which basically meant in the span of 28 days, I ate 50 entrees... So doing what any thrifty yelper would do, after the first week, I started going down the menu, eating every single entree on the Qdoba menu. First off: No of course this is not a nice sit down restaurant. This location is always notorious for drunk people overflowing the restaurant on the weekends. Besides that it is usually pretty fast. If you want nice tex mex, don't come here. But convenience is clutch here. Plus the price is reasonable depending on what you order. Probably one of the healthier fast food options. A naked burrito will run you 700 calories, which for the amount of food you are given is quite surprising. Way better then Taco bell, Mcds, etc. But if you a sodium person, watch out for this place. On to the menu: (Note: Ratings are based on price point / convenience factor) The meats are always decently cooked. Favorite by far is chicken. Steak is bit too salty for my taste and the pork is alright. ALL the meat is grilled right in front of you, so at the very least you know you are getting some real meat and not that mystery meat at taco bell. Burrito- A naked burrito wrapped in tortilla. I like the fact they wrap it in wheat these days (if you request it). Added benefit of the tortilla getting "soaked" with all the juices. Absolutely delicious if you are starving. (7/10) Naked burrito- Healthy option for those who weight lift / work out. Lots of protein in each serving. The amount of rice is a lot though for those trying to just cut, I would recommend a taco salad. What I usually put on all my entrees are lettuce, tomatos, corn, black beans, extra spicy sauce (which really isnt very spicy at all). (7/10) Fajita Ranchera Burrito: MMMM. By far my favorite item on the menu. What makes this entree special is the fact they actually make the peppers / onion combo fresh right out of the pan. i've seen it a couple times, and let me tell you the taste is almost like you grilled it yourself. Combined with their ranchera sauce, absolute heaven. (9/10) Ancho Chile BBQ Burrito: Basically a regular burrito but with a very tangy BBQ sauce. It just has a little "kick" too it that is a perfect balance between hot and mild. Matches well with the black beans. The sauce really works well here. Add some corn + tomatoes + lettuce = a big win :) (8/10) Queso Burrito: Oh hell yea. When you are drunk and real hungry, its almost a given you will order this burrito. The 3 cheese sauce is just straight delicious, if not very healthy for you. Use to be my favorite till I discovered the ranchera burrito, but still real delicious. Get ships on the side with the naked and you have yourself 3 cheese nachos with rice :) (8/10) Mango Salad: A seasonal item, basically a taco salad with mangos and this real tangy sauce. Not too bad actually, better then the taco salad in my opinion. You must get this with a shell though to soak in all the flavors. Dunno what is in that mystery sauce, but its pretty solid. (7/10) Taco Salad- Healthiest of all entrees. Basically a naked burrito, without rice and a lettuce base. The lettuce by far is what needs to be worked on here. Its usually pretty dry and really its the big downer of Qdoba. (6/10) Veggie Burrito: Basically grilled veggies smothered in this oil, which replaces the meat (duhr). Not too impressed, the grilled veggies would be a nice side dish to the main entree, but doesn't really fill you up or quite compare to the meat. But I guess this option is just to satisfy the vegetarians. Mexican Gumbo: Nothing special about this entree. Basically a naked burrito with their "gumbo" tortilla soup which tasted almost like bland taco bell mild sauce mixed in with beans. Not a big fan. (5.5/10) 3 Cheese Nachos: Some people are big fan of this, but I disagree. Firm believe of having rice with any mexican entree, and nachos just doesn't cut it. Lots of huge chunky nachos on top followed by scraps of food with the leftover nachos. Was a bit too dry for my liking. I recommend just getting a queso naked burrito with chips on the side. Otherwise this could just be another glorified Taco Bell version of its Nachos Bell Grande. (5/10) Quesadilla: Was not impressed. Its not hard to screw up a queadilla, but I guess I was expecting some more "quality" for a regularly priced $7 entree. You could probably get the exact same thing at taco bell for $2.50. (5/10) Tacos- least favorite entree by far. For the same price as a naked burrito, you get 3 regular sized tacos with the typical toppings. Not very good value for the price. You can do much better. Tastes pretty generic. (4/10) Note: Digestive tract got some extra working after eating this the whole month. Would not recommend if you don't like being thrifty.

If I need a quick bite, I'll head to Qdoba... generally as a last resort before class. This place is never busy, maybe one or two patrons when I am there. On my last visit, I was sick of the same ol' same ol' so I ordered some queso on my tacos. The taco-preparer told me that queso is an extra charge. I said that was OK. Soon enough - Bam... The register shows the 1.59 charge for queso. I was thinking .50. Seriously, That 2 tbsp of queso was 1.59? Psssssht.

I didn't grow up in an area with Qdobas. I sort of avoided it when I first got to Milwaukee because I was confused about where it fit in to the hierarchy of Mexican fast food. I've now ate here a few times, and one dish in particular keeps bringing me back. (More on that later.) This Qdoba is pretty big. I've only ever gotten food to go around dinner time, and I've only ever seen the restaurant about 20% full. Parking can be a challenge though because of the location. There's a parking lot behind the store with some designated spots for Qdoba customers. There's also street parking all around. I typically get the "Craft 2," which lets you choose two from a selection of dishes. It's a good amount of food without being gut-busting. Getting two tacos is one of the options. The tacos (I've had the steak and pork) are alright, nothing special. The dish that blew me away and the reason I keep coming back is the tortilla soup. I make a mean tortilla soup, so I'm not easily swayed. Qdoba's tortilla soup has some real heat plus some nice tang. I was pleasantly surprised that a fast food restaurant was serving genuinely spicy food. The burn is not intense, but it is definitely enough to register on the tongue. More recently, I've had the Mexican Gumbo, which is basically burrito fillings with the tortilla soup. The tortilla soup flavor gets a little muddled with the rice and everything else, but if you just want one dish with everything in it, the gumbo is a good choice.

Walk in. Takes 2 minutes for zombie line server to acknowledge me. I order a grilled chicken quesadilla. She proceeds to pile on "chicken" (that turned out to be a bit bland) cheese, & pico. Cooks Quesadilla. Takes credit card. I pay $7.15 and got to a window booth. I notice 5 dead fruit flies surrounded by dust. I clean it and begin to eat. Blackened oil residue coats the bottom of my quesadilla. The result of a grill that hasn't been cleaned In a few days. I clean that off and finish eating. Horrible food. What a waste. If I wanted to clean up other peoples messes I'd be getting paid for it. Totally gross. And the zombie like attitude of the line server was just pathetic. I work forty hours a week and anyone can tell you I have a warm smile on my face every hour. What happened to customer service?

Honestly, this place isn't even worth One star. Ive only been here maybe 4 times and each time was terrible but here is a little tale of my last time: Saw 3 different Centipedes when I was eating, which of course made me want to vomit. My boyfriend had to get his burrito Re-Wrapped (what?!? seriously?!) twice. It kept falling apart if you can believe it. My chicken tacos were cold and flavorless. I was only here for about ten minutes and walked out to find a 25 dollar parking ticket. Don't go here.

It is, what it is; fast mexican food. Food quality is slightly above taco bell and very below La Fuente. Menu is small. Service is fast. It's similar to Subway with the assembly-line approach. Yet many of the local mexican restaurants are CHEAPER! It will do in a pinch but the price is absurd for the quality. Very easy to get sick of this place.

I'm a fan of Qdoba. They have awesome burritos and burrito bowls. But my favorite (don't eat often) is their nachos. If you looking for the perfect Superbowl Sunday or any sports event meal try the Chicken Nachos. I like the location of this Qdoba because it has it's own parking lot. Easy to park and it's usually not overcrowded on lunch. Perfect place to meet someone for lunch whether business or personal. It's always kept pretty clean and they have great service. They actually come around and ask you if your meal is going well. Good work Qdoba, keep it up!

Don't eat here. Nasty, chewy, fatty, grizzly meat. White sushi rice in the burritos Overpriced. If you've ever had good Mex, this place will surely disappoint. The food is so bad I wouldn't feed it to my dog. I want to throw up.

Burritos my favorite and can never go wrong. I used to visit this place for sure when used to be in neigbourhood. Service is always fast and friendly.

Look, it's not authentic, it's a giant serving and I'm always a little shocked when the bill is $20 for two of us with burritos and drinks, but it's convenient, it's open late and it's pretty tasty, so maybe that's a break even? Once we discovered Mr. Senor's, we went to Qdoba less and less, but Qdoba did fill a zone of "fast. food." without being "fast food" if that makes any sense. It's filling and kind of comfort-y if you don't finish the whole burrito because then you get that "ohmygawd I ate wayyyy too much and I'm soooo full" feeling. They also have a rewards card that meant we got the occasional free burrito. Perfectly A-Ok choice, in my opinion.

The female worker who made my burrito was standoffish. She had to retry folding my burrito twice before her manager ultimately stood in to fold my meal. While eating I discovered a hair in my burrito. Lastly, upon leaving I saw the employees laughing and pointing at a giant cockroach on the wall that they ultimately knocked down and stepped on to kill. I would never recommend this location to anyone. Go somewhere else for your cheap food.

There are too many other options for Mexican to bother going to this place. The quesadillas came covered in a strange, red grease and my kids who normally love quesadillas would not try them. The hard tacos in the taco plate had shells that were stale up top then mushy on the bottom. The steak bowl was overly spicy with a weird blend of chili powder, pepper and just about any other spice laying around. They only earned two stars since there guacamole was terrific and chips were crunchy with a hint of lime.

This Qboda is open late - as in past bar-close late - it can be rather crowed at this time or it can be totally dead. It's really hit or miss. During my visits, the employees have always been pleasant and wiling to serve. My issue is with the recent changes to the menu: There is no more pricing per item; it is all the same price regardless of what you order. No more pick two. No more $ difference between a burrito bowl and a suped up mega double heart attack burrito. For the prices that are listed you could get a hearty meal at a real Mexican restaurant. Let's face it - this this Americanized Mexican and it is pretty good at any time of day. I'm not sure what they put in that queso but it is seriously addicting. I'm sure I'll visit again.... but I won't be happy with the changes to the menu.

I usually don't like fake-Mexican or chain fast food, but I was running errands in the neighborhood and wanted a soda. Also, I wanted a better view of this bizarre crane accident that happened right out in front and into their parking lot. Three stars for a soda? Well look, I got quick polite service while there was a tremendous up-ended crane across three crushed parked cars right next to the place and the employees served me like "it ain't no thang." (That's a 1970s expression that means they weren't fazed or inordinately inconvenienced by the conditions or circumstances).

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
